WTB Several G Tabs

As the topic says, I'm looking to buy several used G-tabs. They must have no scratches and function perfectly. While I'd prefer they be restored to vanilla ROM, I don't insist on it. They must however have a working ROM and not be in a bricked state. Respond here with price, links to pictures of them etc. I can send money via paypal and they will be shipped to Southern California. Let me know.

Im in SoCal, but im not selling my tab.
Makes me wonder what your planning on doing with those tabs though

Dude, please tell me what home screen is that? Like what launcher, and what widgets?? That looks really nice!!

The homescreen is just LauncherPro Plus at 10 x 10 rows and columns. I skinned the LauncherPro Gmail Widgets with a transparent theme from the market. The clock is Beautiful Widgets super clock with a transparent Honeycomb skin. I got the wallpaper off of a wallpaper site because I liked it. I'm using Multipicture Live Wallpaper to keep it clean though.
I love my gTab, but I'm really intrigued by the Asus Transform. Since it's now been announced for Tuesday, I need to convince my wife that I'm not just spending a bunch of money for no reason.

Are you in Vancouver ??? If not, what's shipping to Vancouver, BC??? How old is the tablet and is it in perfect working order??? I'm interested in picking up a 2nd G-Tab for my wife.

I'm in Toronto. Shipping is probably reasonable enough. I've had it since Christmas, but I keep my stuff well. It's always been in a case of some kind. I have applied the carbon fiber style rear protective sticker thing.

still interested in buying a gtab? i have one that im about to put on ebay if i dont get any buyers by tuesday.
buying either wifi galaxy tab or asus transformer on tues.
mint condition, no scratches, smoke free home.
-missing original box, but i sell many things so i package/ship perfectly.
-rooted running vegantab, can restore if you want.
-comes with black CLIP case ($60 value)
-can respond with several sites where i sell for feedback history checks.
-ebay completed listings going for $250-$270 used/open box. no lowballs but i wont go less that that range.

I have one available that I'm looking to sell. I picked it up last month as part of the Woot deal. It's in new condition, I have the box and all packing materials, currently running Vegan 5.1.1 but I'll put whatever you'd like on it.

A Case Like This Needs to Happen

Saw someone mention the HTC One's accessory page the other day so I decided to check it out. They have an official case that seems perfect for what i'm looking for in a smart case:

I hope we get something along these lines that acts like a stand without adding too much bulk. Anyone know of any companies that do something similar to this?

Possibly. There are a lot of these already out for tabs. Maybe third parties will see this and bring it to the s4

Would love this on my s4, I hope some third party will make it for the S4.

Something like this is already made for the s3, I'm sure we'll see it for the s4.

There will be all kinds of cases like that. Samsung has a couple already for the SGS4.

I have this case on my htc one that's going back for a s4 but the case is ok abit cheaply made but does the job great for watching movies well I will be a x htc one owner to many quality issues will lifting bezels on my second one not risking a third so going to a s4 now.

Moving from the S2 to the S4. Have really enjoyed the SGP Neo Hybrid EX bumper/case on my S2:

It was my favourite case for my S2 as well. I emailed them when the S3 came out and they said they will not be making one, and they never did. I'd bet the same applies this time around.

I wish that the new S5 was metal, I hate the cheap feel of the plastic housing though.

and one more thing that the plastic back cover is better than metal one

Why is that ? It feels so cheap.

I'm unsure if I'll buy the S5, the G3 or the new One, but I like Galaxy S phones for their physical home button, special features like eye tracking, the customization which is great here on XDA, and of course the top specs.
The One has too much of space wasted because of the logo, even if the overall design rocks.
So yeah I may buy the S5 this year

Only problem I can see is the s5 has a monster ROM of about 8gb of bloatware I mean valuable and useful Samsung features

personally as someone who has used an iphone and then a galaxy (s4 here) then a nexus device, I would stay away from the s5 unless you really really like touchwiz.
just personal preference but i never liked the bloated feel of touchwiz (lg Optimus UI... I'm looking at you too)
i love the iPhone in how everything just works well and is so thoughtfully designed whereas i love the amount of control i have to make my nexus 5 my own
samsung doesnt give you the same control as a nexus device, nor are their features as useful as an apple device so to me not worth the premium price tag you have pay.

Galaxy S4 Black Edition experiences

Hi there, everyone!
I noticed there was not yet a thread for the new S4 Black Edition. In about 20 days I will get one, but I would like to hear some experiences from people who have already got one.
When mine arrives I will post my findings here as well.
What is the advantage over the Black Mist colour? Does the back feel nice? Does anybody know whether this version will get slower updates than the earlier models?

I've got the Black Edition for a week now and I can happely say I love it!
I have had the Black Mist one but this one has got a much better premium feel.
I really love how the front is finally completely black, as opposing to the ugly black the Black Mist had.
The back of the device feels really awesome. Grip is so much better and you can't stop rubbing your fingers over it because it feels so nice.
If you get the change to buy a Galaxy S4 I would not look further and go with the Black Edtion. You won't regret it.
About updates, it's just the same old i9505, just another color and back. You will get updates as fast as the others get updates.

About updates is not true. Black edition gets separate updates from regular i9505, because of the wallpapers and ringtones. So the OTA updates will be slower than others.

Ah, I might have said that because I wanted KitKat so I flashed the latest available rom for the i9505.

I was going too pick one up today because in my region (Cambodia) they previously sold only the i9500 and I read that the Black Edition was the i9505. My bubble was busted at the phone shop today when I saw that it was an i9500. And the quality of the back cover was pretty meh. The fit around the camera was sloppy, and the gloss of the leather grain texture was very inconsistent. But from a distance, it looked fantastic. The normally bright chrome strip on the side had a really nice smoked tint that looked great with the black. Too bad it was just another i9500 :/

Yes. Apparently it depends on region. I was under the impression that it was i9505 only until I saw the i9500 Special Edition this morning.

When I saw the black edition online I sold my black mist and baught this one straight away.
It feels perfect. Go on and buy it. It is and feels much more premium than the other one.
As they say it is like the s4 should have been from the start.
The only thing is that the other one was already on 4.4.2 here in Greece and the new one (Slovakia model) is on 4.3
I just hope that the update is gonna come soon. I have to agree that it should have separate update from the other models due to the different wallpapers and ringtones.
All in all a perfect choice. :
BTW the metal rim is much darker than the shiny one on the black mist version.

Great design ! But which is the firmware inside ? I think it's impossible to find a black edition with an old firm an old bootloader...

Me too!! Only wished samsung themed touchwiz all black. Or black with red or blue accents. It would just make the phone more perfect than it already is.

So what firmware version is it running, and did it come with a Knox bootloader?

Also bought the black edition. Great phone with cool looks! Still waiting for 4.4.2. Only thing missing is a "black edition" s-view cover. If you want to use a s-view cover you lose the faux leather back plate ?
I didn't install knox but it certainly is knox ready.

Yepp 4.3 xxuena4 firmware with knox and no saferoot possible without tripping knox.

Interesting reading,
In the uk phones4u are selling it both contract and sim free. It looks very slick and I need a new phone but conscious about buying what in tech terms is now an aging processor. Especially with the reports of kitkat lag on the gs4.
It looks awesome and is the full i9505 model
