Neo Hybrid EX for SG4? - Galaxy S 4 Accessories

Moving from the S2 to the S4. Have really enjoyed the SGP Neo Hybrid EX bumper/case on my S2:
http://www.amazon.com/SGP-Samsung-Galaxy-Hybrid-Champagne/dp/B005O50P1A/ref=pd_sim_sbs_cps_3
Was great for begin able to remove the back without removing the bumper/case, and the protection was perfect.
Does anyone know if anything like this exists for the S4?

It was my favourite case for my S2 as well. I emailed them when the S3 came out and they said they will not be making one, and they never did. I'd bet the same applies this time around.

Samsung Beam i8530 - ICS Update?

There is no section for the i8530 even though i have asked several times for one.
I love my Beam it`s so unique, I am surprised it`s not more popular, I am dying for an ICS update.
I love the way you have access to the sim and microsd from slots on the sides of the phone, no need to remove the battery every time you want to change them.
Also it comes with an external and normal charger and two 2000mah battery`s what other phone has this.
Anybody else have this phone.
The Samsung phone`s below have the same CPU/GPU
"Samsung Galaxy Ace 2, Samsung Galaxy S Advance"
John.
100% with you.I want to see rooted kernel + CWM
I have been using DVD catalyst 4 , to rip my DVD`s to 640x360 the projectors resolution called nHD , they look great on the Beams lcd display also and keeps the file size as small as possible, so i can get as many movies on my 32gb microsd.
Does anybody know if the beam will take as 64gb microsd, I want to wait for a Samsung one, as they have a lot of water/drop emf protection.
John.
I think, if samsung improves galaxy beam's spec, it gonna be bought a lots.
I am quite happy with the beams specs, My last phone was the Galaxy Note and before that the G2
The projector most likely is the most expensive part of the phone, so Samsung had to use a low spec cpu and display to keep the price down, though i am quite happy, I just want ICS Now!

I have been looking for a black gel not silicone case, but without the openings for the sim and microsd slots as it takes seconds to remove the case, and i dont like the feel of the case with the slots when i pick it up.
John.
I found a case without the sim/microsd openings on the side, it has a grip area instead, and comes with a free screen protector and all for only £0.99p
Same case on Amazon from the same company is nearly £4 , I dont know what`s going on there.

Galaxy Ace 2 rocks for a little phone.
Would love to root it and give it a tweaked kernel
Sent from outside the circle.
There is a root available for the Galaxy Beam i8530 on Gingerbread 2.3.6. However if your intentions are to use stuff like the SIXAXIS Controller app it doesn't work with the Bluetooth on i8530.
I'm also eagerly awaiting the ICS update from Samsung so I can start using USB HID and PS3 Controllers. I just don't feel like it is coming out any time soon as they are still rolling out 2.3.6 firmwares across the world.
I'd love to see ICS or maybe even some jelly beans on our Beam, but sadly, I don't think our community will ever grow much to the point we have devs willing to code for our phone
Really a shame, with the built-in projector, possibilities would be endless
Well, maybe if only one really good dev could get his hands on one, then maybe...
keep requesting , good things come to those who wait
My friend just bought this device just now and asking how to root this phone...

A Case Like This Needs to Happen

Saw someone mention the HTC One's accessory page the other day so I decided to check it out. They have an official case that seems perfect for what i'm looking for in a smart case:
http://www.htc.com/www/accessories/htc-double-dip-flip/
I hope we get something along these lines that acts like a stand without adding too much bulk. Anyone know of any companies that do something similar to this?
Possibly. There are a lot of these already out for tabs. Maybe third parties will see this and bring it to the s4
Would love this on my s4, I hope some third party will make it for the S4.

Something like this is already made for the s3, I'm sure we'll see it for the s4.
There will be all kinds of cases like that. Samsung has a couple already for the SGS4.

First look at official Samsung Galaxy S4 Flip Cover

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4ZWaQIHzLc
Managed to get my hands on the official S4 Flip Cover, pretty much identical to the S3 one. Only had a dummy S4 to test it with though!
Please post if after 2 weeks use the edges start peeling. I had 2 for the s3 and gave up after they kept peeling. Thanks

I have a family member that has one of these on her Note, not a big fan of having to open them up all the time to see what is going on. But I may be more inclined to check out the new one with the window for the S4....

£45 is beyond ridiculous for the S View case though

[Q] Do the cases for the Skyrocket i727 fit the LTE i727r?

The title pretty much says it all.
I just got a Samsung Galaxy s2 LTE ( i727r) and I'm having trouble finding nice cases for it.
I found one online that looks like it will fit my phone on eBay, but it's listed under the Skyrocket (i727).
I'm just wondering if they carry the same cases / if the cases can fit on either phone.
I'm super nooby when it comes to phones - I know nothing. From the appearance, it looks like they are the same size and the cameras/buttons are in the same position. (Please note, I've never seen a Skyrocket in person...).
I've had one person tell me yes, another no. But they both weren't sure.
Looking for a definite - without-a-doubt - answer.
Thanks!!!

I've already searched the forums. I've found forums relating to rooting and program specs.
I know the two phones are the same operation-wise. But I want to know if they're the same physically. As stupid of a question as it is.
I've been to three websites where they state the dimensions for the LTE are 1 centimeter larger than the Skyrocket.
So, according to this, the case for a Rocket will not fit for the LTE.
Is this true?
Without a doubt they might be the same. But again maybe they aren't.

Ahg. Yeah, this is the same answer everyone is telling me.
Probably because from what I understand the LTE is the "Canadian" version of the Skyrocket for Rogers.
So, we only sell LTE and I don't think I've ever seen a Skyrocket in my life. Not many people have since the market here is for a LTE.
This case is going to cost me 35$. My wallet will cry if it doesn't fit.

I just bought a case for a i727 skyrocket, and it fits perfectly with my i727r LTE phone! there, a definite answer. (mine was a hard rubber case from ebay $ 2.99 )
Same here. Skyrocket case fits my Rogers i727 perfectly. Got mine from Trident.

The form factors of these two phones are the same, so you will be able to use a regular skyrocket case.
Jeez guys, did you see when the op asked the question. It's over a year ago. I think he's figured it out one way or the other by now.

Would you buy the Samsung S5 ?

Hi guys, I have an S3 and been waiting for a nice upgrade, Do you think the S5 would be a good choice? or should I wait for the HTC?
I wish that the new S5 was metal, I hate the cheap feel of the plastic housing though.

Why is that ? It feels so cheap.
try to use or buy another device such as sony like that
I'm unsure if I'll buy the S5, the G3 or the new One, but I like Galaxy S phones for their physical home button, special features like eye tracking, the customization which is great here on XDA, and of course the top specs.
The One has too much of space wasted because of the logo, even if the overall design rocks.
So yeah I may buy the S5 this year
Only problem I can see is the s5 has a monster ROM of about 8gb of bloatware I mean valuable and useful Samsung features
Programming is a race between engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning.
personally as someone who has used an iphone and then a galaxy (s4 here) then a nexus device, I would stay away from the s5 unless you really really like touchwiz.
just personal preference but i never liked the bloated feel of touchwiz (lg Optimus UI... I'm looking at you too)
i love the iPhone in how everything just works well and is so thoughtfully designed whereas i love the amount of control i have to make my nexus 5 my own
samsung doesnt give you the same control as a nexus device, nor are their features as useful as an apple device so to me not worth the premium price tag you have pay.

I would definitely go with a Nexus 5.
