[Q] Need help picking a Blu phone - General Questions and Answers

So I need to replace my HTC Google Nexus One and I'm looking at Blu's phones due to price, 5"+ screen size, and memory slot. I was wondering if there was a clear phone of the ones listed that is best.
Blu Life One M
Blu Life One
Blu Life 8
Blu Studio 6.0 HD
Sorry, I would provide a link but I can't due to spam filter.

[Q] I cant decide which phone to get next?

Hi! Im due an upgrade on my O2 contract but cant decide which phone to go for, i have an HTC One X at the moment and am considering either a HTC One, a Samsung Galaxy S4, a LG G2 or Iphone 5s. I dont really use my phone AS A PHONE more as a camera, media player, internet/facebook browser etc, so each of the other phones have thier pros and cons when compared to my ONE X,
HTC ONE
Pros: Cons:
faster, camera not as good (imo)
more memory,
better screen,
better speakers.
Samsung Galaxy S4
faster
more memory screen not as good as HTC ONE
better screen speakers not as good as HTC ONE
better camera plasticky build?
microSD card support
LG G2
Speedy cpu (faster than S4 and ONE) bit of an unknown to me?
(Are LG phones any good normally?)
more memory plasticky build
better camera volume and lock buttons are on the back?!
Iphone 5s
nice build screen not as hd or as big as others
faster (64bit cpu) camera not as good as others
more memory unless jailbroken limited customization options
slo-mo video!
Bigger selection of apps (some exclusive to ios?)
lol, basically i want a phone that has the speed of the LG G2 (or possibly the 64bit cpu of the iphone 5s), with the speakers and screen of the HTC ONE, the memory of the Galaxy s4 or HTC ONE with the slo-mo video recording of the Iphone 5s! which would you guys n gals recommend? im not asking y'all to decide for me rather offer opinions to maybe help me decide?
ta in advance!
go for s4, it suites your needs....

[Q] Xperia Z3 - Thinking of coming from a OnePlus One

Hi Guys,
So as the title suggest I have the OnePlus One 64gb.
I am thinking of swapping it for an Xperia Z3, I haven't seen a lot of comparison videos, well none actually, so just wondering what you users of the Z3 think?
One thing that i am concerned about is development, it seems quite slow on the Z3 so far will the one plus has a plethora of roms available. What is the stock rom like?
Another thing that is slight swaying me is the size and camera.
If you guys could offer could offer me some advice that would be great!

I haven't get a Z3 for myself yet but these are the info I knew
First of all,the OnePlus One uses the Snapdragon 801 MSM8974-AC Quad-core 2.5GHz chipset which was the same as the Xperia Z3
Both of them have 3GB of RAM & 3100mAh battery
Of course, you will get a smaller screen on the Z3 at 5.2" versus the OnePlus One at 5.5" but the Z3 has the brightest display in an IPS display
For the size, the Z3 is very slim at only 7.3 mm & weighs 152 grams while the OnePlus One was 8.9 mm thick & weighs 162 grams
The new design, rounded corners on the Z3 feels more better in holding & rated at highest IP 65/68 for dust & waterproof
Talking about camera,Z3 boosts a 20.7MP 1/2.3" camera with 25mm wide G-Lens,should be able to win the OnePlus One
Xperia UI is very nice.Sony has make it more like stock Android with some small modifications & some addons
I'm excited about what Sony will make in their Android 5.0 Lollipop UI
That's all I can tell you

Possible new phone advice

I have been using this phone for 3 years now and think it is time to move on. I have been given a good deal on a moto g 4g and wondered if anyone can think of a reason not to move. It's a similar spec phone with quad core instead of dual. Has a smaller camera tho.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Cheers

I have the One (M7) for a year now and I have to say for a 2 year old phone, it really holds it's build quality. The speakers are amazing, the screen is crystal clear and it has Lollipop + Sense 6. We won't get Sense 7 officially but I'm 100% sure we will get a very functional port of Sense 7. The only downside is the camera. If your not too concerned about that then I think you should go for it. If not, I would suggest the Moto G (2014) or the Sony Xperia Z1/Z3 Compact, you can't go wrong with any of them
If you really liked you One S, you can go to something similar like the M8, or if you can wait for a couple of days, get your hands on the new HTC One M9.
One good reason to wait: wait for a real new ARM64 phone. The Moto G 4G (2014) is still a SnapDragon 400 with Krait cores I believe, so nothing really new from our One S.
I would wait for a cheap Motorola with ARM64 cores for less than 200$.

We already have a thread talk about this.
Moto G 4G is real a very bad choice, only a 4.5" 720P, S400, 1G ram, 8GB rom(though with microSD slot). Nothing real better and camera is a downgrade to 5MP.
I'm still using One S as a spare phone and upgraded to Sony Z1 Compact since last year. If budget is a major concern, you should get Z1c because it is cheap now should only a bit expensive than Moto G 4G but with a hardware much much better(4.3" 720P, S800, 2G ram, 16GB, microSD, LTE, 20MP camera, IPX67, 2300mah). Lollipop got delayed but will arrive on this phone probably around May/June.
But since now I've two small phones, I think it's too many. I'm going to sell out Z1c and upgrade again in April/May sometimes and give Galaxy S6 a try because the phone is quite small and slim this time to the 5.1" size.
If you have more money then get Sony Z3 Compact with bigger screen(4.6" but still same size with Z1c and One S), battery life and camera is even more better. If you can wait for like half year, Z4c will probably out on Sep.
I have used one S for 3 years too.
It's my first android phone, and I have a good time with it.
A lot of great developers have worked on this phone, they become a story!
I think Oneplus ONE is a great phone.
HTC M9 is great too!
3 years here also
i want to move to the new phone too. thinkng about new nexus or wait for the new LG
I'm going to buy a new phone in my summer vacation......Probably OnePlus

[Q] Looking for a good android phone under US$180

I have been trying to find a good phone that is compatible with the T-Mobile network and is under $180 USD.
I am considering these:
- Blu Life 8
- Moto G
- Blu Life Energy
Are these options bad and if so what do you recommend?

Next gen version of BLU Pure XL? Only the Pure XR?

Love the specs of the Pure XL, especially the QHD 6" display, but it seems that new units are sold out. Amazon suggests the Pure XR as the 2016 replacement for the Pure XL. The XR has an inferior 1080p 5.5" display.
Does BLU plan to release an updated XL with a 6" or larger display? My choices seem to be narrowed to this or the Huawei Honor Note 8 (QHD 6.6") which doesn't have North American LTE bands yet.
BLU is a re-branding entity; they don't make or develop any of these phones themselves.
So: literally nobody will really know until they have published the new phone.
IF you're looking for a neat one that's close to the XL, consider perhaps the ZTE Axon 7. Best in class warranty, 2K display, 3.3K battery, etc. Soon to have official CM support!
zte axon 7 is only 5.5" screen... No thanks.

Can't have it all. I'll admit I like the idea of a 6", but the Axon still makes for a compelling option for me. If they'd just answer my damn questions.

Keep refreshing Amazon.com. Last month, I managed to order a near mint used one from Amazon Warehouse for $51 USD shipped. Took a few weeks but I got it and it's great!

Actually, the Axon 7 is the phone I'm using right now! It's pretty good, but I have some bugs with it that no one knows how to fix, and I don't believe anything mentioned about support/ROMs/unlocking until it's finalized.
A BLU Pure XL would be a downgrade in some ways, but a huge upgrade in display. Compared my 5.5" Axon to a friend's Nexus 6, and that 6" display (even at 1080p) looks so much better for browsing and video.

Fair enough. The CM thing is a lesson I'm learning with the Pure XL; though ZTE has gone further and made their own announcement about it, vs. BLU's indifference.
I owned the blu vivo iv, the blu vivo air and then the blu pure xl. I was very disappointed with the buggy software on the pure xl and also the fact that to this day has still not received a marshmallow update even though this was their " first flagship phone". I bought the phone brand new and after seeing how slow development was moving and seeing no developers were going to support this phone I sold it after 2 months and recouped all of my money lol. I then bought a hauwei honor 5x that I still have to this day and am way more satisfied with than I ever was with the pure xl even though the pure xl out specs this phone in many ways. My advice to you is to pass BLU PRODUCTS up no matter how specked out their phones seem its all just smoking mirrors. There are plenty of other companies out there with unlocked phones that are good and who make their own phones and software unlike BLU.

You think the Nexus 6 looks better than the Pure XL screen?
