[Completed] SM-N900 imei baseband etc - XDA Assist

Dear Assist Team,
Ihave already searched quite a lot on the Note 3 thread but still the problem Is not solved . would request help on guiding me in the right direction.
I have a sm-n900 exynos and I have lost my imei and baseband during a Samsung flash. I have a TWRP backup, efs.img backup by dr.ketan's backup tool but nothing is able to restore my efs. I have scanned emmc blocks for bricked blocks and all blocks come back as non-corrupted. may be the partition is corrupted .how do I erase my efs partition to rebuild it. I have tired to flash PIT from ODIN but that too doesn't work.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2471421
I HAVE efs.img created my Dr. Ketan's EFS tool and which had worked successfully so presume it's a good copy, I have a completeTWRP backup of installed VNROM 13.1 which doesn't have the new baseband problem of NE3 in vnrom 14, and have used to restore efs earlier and has worked successfully.
files I have
efs.img 20 Mb
attached screenshot of twrp backup
i tried to restore both the backups and even the whole twrp backup but unfortunately the system gets restored but not the imei. The link for the tool
Followed this guide step-by-step:
1. Copy 4 files from your backup (efs1.emmc.win, efs2.emmc.win, efs3.emmc.win, efs4.emmc.win) to the root folder of the internal sdcard.
2. Make sure the Terminal Emulator and SuperSU have been installed.
3. Open the Terminal Emulator and enter the following commands:
su
dd if=/storage/sdcard/efs1.emmc.win of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p3
dd if=/storage/sdcard/efs2.emmc.win of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p4
dd if=/storage/sdcard/efs3.emmc.win of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p5
dd if=/storage/sdcard/efs4.emmc.win of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p6
4. Reboot your device.
did the above and nothing got restored, again no baseband, imei
so I used ODIN to reflash stock and then rooted on CFRoot and installed the terminal and executed the commands again .
after reboot the phone went to boot cycle , so went to download mode and tried reflashing the stock again
NOW It showed me PIT missing and failed.
so next I reflashed the PIT with the stock rom and the phone OS got installed BUT AFTER ALL THIS STILL NO IMEI OR BASEBAND.

Hi there,
The mission of XDA Assist is to provide basic help to those who have tried searching but can't find what they are looking for and need assistance. This is not a "helpdesk" providing technical assistance but more to point you in the correct direction with your problem.
And seems you already posted your problem in the correct forum HERE, so you must wait or ask to help in that thread.
Good luck

thanks

hi
I do understand that its not a helpdesk and I have posted in the right forum. the purpose of this thread was to seek help in finding help through a cross platform of multiple devices s this problem of baseband and imei loss is not unique to note 3 but a lot of Samsung galaxy devices, so maybe I could use some help in getting guided to threads which are not pertaining to note 3 per se. but thanks all the same.
cheers to the XDA community

Help EFS Problem

Hi,
Hello I successfully upgrade to Official JB Stock ROM but seems the problem is my EFS, I have unknown IMEI so samsung LCD Codes & I can't use sim card anyone have solution for this? thanks
Before even trying anything, I would suggest that you backup your current EFS partition first.
You can do this from within the custom TWRP recovery menu, using adb commands or possibly some apps or PC programs. You may need root for some methods. You can also copy the EFS folder files with a root type explorer.
Once you've made a backup (in case you make things worse), this thread here may be of help :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=18524176 edit: yes, I know it's for the the sgs2, but the dev does say other devices too.
Also, have your tried to reflash manually your firmware with Odin?
There are guides here in xda and our forum, and firmware can be found at sammobile.com or samsung-updates.com
As last resort, I'd take a look at some of the sgs2 EFS repair apps. Could make things worse, but also fix it. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.doky.sgtoolbox&hl=en
Any decision is ultimately up to you....
Edit 2: if all methods you try are unsuccessful (or made worse and totally unrecoverable), you may have to send to Samsung for repair. Sending to an owner of a RIFF box (JTAG repair) may be faster and cheaper though.
Best of luck

[Completed] [Q] How do I root a verizon samsung note 3 900v with lollipop 5.0.1

I have lost recorded voice memos and pictures on my note 3.
The files are critical. I am not tech savy, but I do own a credit card that works...
PLEASE HELP!
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. I assume you want root to try to recover your files. Unfortunately, with Samsung devices to root usually means flashing an earlier firmware with Odin which wipes your device. That pretty much defeats the purpose. I can't find anything on XDA on how to root your specific device. You could try this but I don't think anything there will work for you, http://www.xda-developers.com/root/ Does your device boot and are you sure you can't access the files grim your current system?

Thanks for the response. The device is fine. The files were deleted by mistake. I took the device out of service so as to not overwrite the files. I hope someone can help.

I see you've asked this question in other threads, which is the best place to ask. So I'm going to close this thread.

[Completed] System/boot/oem/sbl

Hey,
my phone was upgraded to wrong region:
-I lost services.
-Can't install another firmware, getting oemsbl error.
After many things I'w tried, I'm ready to clean everything if it helps me to install update.app(original firmware)
Not sure about system and boot partitions.
I know deleting system, will delete my android system, leaving it bootable. But what about IMEI/SN? Is there something like ESF folder there?
Deleting boot, gonna leave me without boot (anyways if I won't reboot I think I can use ADB push then) but, does boot contains my bootloader info? (bootloader unlocked)
So my resources:
-Wrong region firmware installed;
-bootloader unlocked;
-Cwm/original(curent ROM) recoveries;
-update.app for my region, wich is older then that is installed in my phone right now (I can extract system.img boot.img)
-update.app the same is installed & very old nandroid backup from the oldest version of wrong region
-ADB sideload, cygwin on pc, terminal on phone etc. etc.......
& the screenshot maybe useful,
I can dd if=/dev/block//// of=mnt/sdcard2/file.img
or use adb or whatever leads to the right direction
I'm newby, but I catch quick, any info can help me

Already did it. I don't think experts r interested in helping with this device. This must be the case why I didn't mentioned device model.
Anyways, I think with all info I can provide, it doesn't need to be expert in specified device, enough would be expert who can point me what to do.
Like I sayed I'm prepared to clean it at all, including wipe system & boot. Now I just need info about boot & system partitions.
What's going to heppen with my IMEI & bootloader.
Whatever, thank you at least 4 replay

[Completed] Need to confirm a few things about ODIN

I'm some kind of experienced with ODIN, but I'm not sure with some things, I'll be very grateful if you can answer my questions.
Will flashing a stock ROM *touch* the /data partition ? There is nothing related with data in my Rom package, and NAND Erase All is not enabled. I have some important data to be recovered so I can't let it be touched.
Also, what software do you recommend when I am trying to recover deleted data on a Android device? Either an Android app or a PC app is okay.
Thanks a lot.

k50-t3s/t5 imei number lost after format all+download (help needed)

Problem: After flashing stock ROM a bunch of times using SP flash tool and ending up with no luck (black screen) I thought the problem was stock ROM messing each other up so I did a format all+download which worked and my phone booted but after flashing lineage os and resurrection remix and putting in my sim card I realised there was no service. After putting it in and out and a bunch of resets I realized the imei number got wiped and further searching it was because of format all+download. After using every tool from sn writer to read&write I always got an error or nothing happening. Most of the errors were either timeouts, wrong md1 db or ap dp files (I've tried at least 5 different ones for MT6752) and error 36 for the read&write tool. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I'm in no rush because I've still got my old phone. If you need any more info to help me just ask below and I'll answer in 24hrs.
Thanks to whoever decides to help
EDIT: I can restore my imei using imei changers but those go away after installing resurrection remix and I'm not going to use the bloatware filled stock rom and also I live RR for the choices for every little thing

Thanks for the reply but I've already tried all of them. I'll make a list of what works and doesn't.
Can change IMEI through stock ROM using IMEI changers: YES
Can change IMEI through Custom ROM using IMEI changers: NO
Can change IMEI through PC software (sn writer (error is ap meta mode failed), maui meta (never goes yellow), read&write tool (error 36) and a few other had an error and timeouts: tl:dr cannot change IMEI with PC
What I'm looking for:
Software which permanently changes IMEI for MediaTek MT6752/K50-T3s (I've got the K3 Note OS installed form this link: https://firmwarefile.com/lenovo-k3-note)
An app for a phone which can change the IMEI even if a custom os is in use (I don't mind un-permanently changing it as long as it works.
MD1_DB and APDB files for the MT6752 (I might have gotten some bad ones which don't work) or a tutorial which shows how to get BOTH files (already got MD1_DB file APDB seems to stuff me up)
Anything else which I might have missed
Thanks for any help given
