Hello,
I have bricked my Moto G XT1033 after i wiped out all data and system files.
I had saved a recovery image and after wiping out i can't see it anymore.
since i'm a noob in this can someone help me out ?
Thanks
If you wiped system, you have no OS, so your phone can't boot up.
Since Moto G has no external memory and you wiped data, all of your stuff including your backup was gone.
You need to reflash firmware.
Take a look in Original Development threads.

Okay so basically, today I got the request of installing the Android 4.4.4 kitkat update on my rooted moto g. I press yes and that my phone shut off as it's meant to be. Then this is when the problem occurs; when it turns back on it goes to TWRP and it goes the the normal page of TWRP. I reboot my phone to try again and the same thing happens. Can someone help me to get rid of this problem and to install the Android 4.4.4 kitkat update on my rooted moto g? Will be much appreciated :good:
P.S: The Android update was from Google.
Installing an OTA on a Rooted Phone with Custom Recovery is not advisable!
Sent from my XT1052 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I tried too and the installation stops and comes out an error with /system/framework/core.odex.
I tried to flash again stock recovery but it persists..

Same here. Had to flash stock recovery from bootloader (fastboot flash recovery recovery.img) and then reboot, and let the phone reboot and apply the system update.
All is good, and it kept root... No need to have the system breaking TWRP on there.
I get an error while updating, it just says ''error''. I have stock kernel, stock recovery, unrooted... Nothing seems to work, but I think the problem might be that I have a custom boot animation. Is there any way to flash the 4.4.2 stock UK rom?
Use the search guys: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/help/how-update-rooted-moto-g-to-4-4-4-t2823106

Do you have a moto g ? I did a factory reset which meant that the update wouldn''t keep shutting down my phone and then it would go to TWRP. So how do I install the 4.4.4 update?
i got this error while updating. pleASE HElp

You have to be complete stock, no root, stock recovery and kernel.
Unrooting and flashing the stock recovery and kernel will NOT work,
you will need to flash the 4.4.4 firmware first.

I did flash it to stock ROM but still it showed signature verification failed and some root error. BTW I still have cwm not the original recovery !!
well apparently you dont clearly read the guides, you cant install official updates with custom recovery, you need everything original stock and no root. read the guides first before posting

Moto G XT1034 4.4.4 to 5.0.2 update problem
I received Lollipop OTA notification for my XT1034 today (Retail Canada) and I downloaded and installed it but the phone got stuck at Motorola logo. I waited for about 45 mins on this screen but got desperate and turned it off (hard reset)
Tried to enter recovery and still it says Bootloader 41.13, tried to wipe cache partition and completed the process but after reboot it gets stuck at logo again, please help!
Hi all,
I am new to android and would be very grateful for anyones help, I attempted to upgrade my newly UK purchased moto G xt1032 4.4.4 Kitkat to Lollipop 5.02 by following the 'Analogindex.com' link (how-to-update-motorola-moto-g-1st-gen-xt1032-to-android-5-0-2-lollipop-cyanogenmod-12-konstakang-custom-rom-tutorial-_118532) which is at the bottom of my post. However things didn't go as planned.
I followed all of these steps perfectly until i got to step.10 .. then things went wrong.. when i selected "wipe cache partition" the phone rebooted to the lock screen, now i can't get the phone into recovery mode.. every time i select recovery option instead of getting the dead android (no command), the phone reboots to the bootloader lock screen. PLEASE HELP !!
I followed all the steps correctly.. the phone is rooted and flashed as instructed in description, using r2-motog-superboot and CWM Recovery. I still have the Supersu app showing and i have re-flashed CWM Recovery but still have the same issue. I am still on Kitkat 4.4.4. The 'wipe cache partition' also removed the Gapps and CM12 KonstaKANG files from the SD internal memory.
Any help will be much appreciated ...
I NEED HELP PLEASE!! THANKS

I suggest downloading your phone's stock 4.4.4 ROM and use fastboot commands to manually flash each partition.

go on youtube type in how to adb sideload a rom on moto g that video will fix your problem well it did for me GoodLuck
Is recovery installed? Are the Moto drivers installed on your pc?
I've been through something similar before and whenever I accidentally wipe the OS, I just connect then flash another rom usually starting from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/development/rom-stock-motorola-rom-collection-t2854688 and it will pop up under "my computer" where you can copy and try to flash your rom again. I assume it's the same with 5.0+ (I'm still on 4.4)
Which method did you use to flash lollipop?

On most android devices, you can't apply stock OTA updates on rooted devices or devices that have TWRP installed, stock updates require an unmodified system partition(meaning no root) and must have stock recovery because stock recovery is what actually flashes the update, TWRP cannot flash stock updates.
Do a Google search for:
"Return to stock (your model number)"
Or, you can try restoring a nandroid backup of your stock ROM if you ever created one in TWRP at any time before the update. Or you can try flashing a custom ROM for your specific device via TWRP.
