[Q] Spice Mi-270 IMEI Repair - General Questions and Answers

Hi,
Can someone please provide me with the file imei_MTK6516.zip for imei file creation namely MP0B_001 for Spice Mi-270
I tried the file imei_MTK6515.zip at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1104975&page=4 but the file when opened in a text editor shows encrypted code of one line as compared to two line of code in the original file

[Q] Help to decode a phonebook file from A1000

Hi,
I have a Motorola A1000 that has definitely failed.
Before it had broken, I had downloaded the phonebook with all my contact numbers.
I wish to retrieve the phone numbers, but it is a binary file that cannot be read by any normal editor (ASCII editor, winword, excel).
I can see the numbers and the names of the contacts, but they're mixed in an unreadable mess.
The file is a file named 297.dat. It is one of many .dat files that I downloaded from the A1000.
It is impossible to read it with the cable SW that I used to manage the phone. The programs rejects any operation if the phone is not connected, and refuses to read the backup copy of the phone files.
Can somebody help me?
I desperatly need to retrieve my phonebook numbers.
Best regards
Alberto
Have you tried using a hex editor to manually pull the numbers and enter them into a new phone or just a text file? If you could post the file someone here might be able to help you if you can't on your own.
Here is the file
Hi,
I have opened it with ultraedit, but I cannot understand the rule by which the number and the names are associated between them.
I attach the (zipped) binary file. If somebody wishes to exercise his skill in decoding and decrypting, I'll be very grateful!!

[Q] IMEI lost!!!! please help....

My imei no got lost while restoring backup using cwm..... i looked around the forum and the ".nv_data" method will not do because my efs folder has a file named "essiv" only and nothing else.....
if someone would confirm what files are contained in thier efs folder and mail it to me also i'll be grateful......
I don't think the 'efs folder' of one device can be used with other devices as it contains the device's IMEI number.
Could you elaborate a bit as to what did you do that resulted in the loss of your IMEI number ? It would help others avoid it in future.
Well.... i restored the same backup file couple of times 'coz i was trying to flash a new theme...btw i am on stock indian 2.3.5......
the files in efs folder can be edited using hex editor (read somewhere in the s2 forum...i don't remeber which thread) so the imei no. in that file can be modified...

[Q] How to generate nvram database (the BPLGUInfoCustomAppSrcP file) ?

Hello,
Any of the nvram db files I found on the internet are being rejected by Maui meta 3g ("nvram database file is inconsistent with target load").
I hence tried to generate my own nvram db with MTK droid tools, but the only file it gives me that approaches the size of those db file is an "nvram.bin". Which isn't either accepted by Maui meta ("execution failure initialize nvram database file").
So where do these BPLGUInfoCustomAppSrcP files come from, initially?
(My initial problem being that I Formatted NVRAM using SP Flash Tool and lost IMEI on my Jiayu G4S).
Thanks in advance.

Just install the TWRP you can find it here. I hope you know how to install it.
Then enter to TWRP recovery holding "volume up " + restart the phone. From TWRP you can make NVRAM backup copy.

I do that but the file BPLGUInfoCustomAppSrcP_MT6735_S00_K5_ROW_LWG_V56_1_lwg_n into the folder give me the following message on MAUI Meta:
"please check the version of load and NVRAM database are same" on Download Flash action.
If i use the file into Flash Tools, the message is about inconscistence, and pop-up on Change NVRAM Database action on the Maui
??
Thanks for some help

[Completed] [Q] XOLO A500S MTK6572 nvram related problems

Hi, Everyone
I am new to flashing of MTK based phones and found that they are relatively tough to flash for an amateur to start on for a beginner. I had fortunately taken a incomplete backup of my phone which is why I was unable to solve majority of the simple problems that I am currently facing. I saw that, MTK Droid Tools can be used to restore the NVRAM from a backup to restore the previous IMEI, Bluetooth address, WIFI address, GPS address but the software was asking for a .bin or .tar file and unfortunately I didn't know about NVRAM until now and I don't have the .bin nor the .tar file but what I currently have now is data.ext4.tar from my stock rom which has a folder called "nvram", I was thinking of manually replacing the folder I have with the folder in the root but I need a better solution than that. How can I convert or pack that folder as a .tar or a .bin file?
Regards,
Ranajoy
