[Q] PLEASE HELP - Nexus 5 stuck on Google logo; accidentally deleted OS using TWRP - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone,
I am stuck in a very frustrating dilemma with my Nexus 5 and need help very badly. I somehow managed to delete my entire OS using TWRP. Now my phone is constantly stuck on the Google logo screen. I am able to get into the bootloader screen, but any further action from there only takes me back to the frozen Google logo screen. I have spent the last several hours researching this issue and found many, many forum posts about solving this same issue, but I either don't understand the things people are suggesting or what I am able to understand, does not work for my phone.
So far I have messed around with the Wugs Toolkit thing but not sure what is right step for me considering almost everything requires me to go into my phone settings to mess with the USB debugging mode....since I cannot even boot my phone I am obviously unable to do this step.
I also have read about pushing a ROM file onto my phone but I'm not quite sure how to do this and how I know it even worked.
Please, can anyone give me any pointers/step-by-step guides? Thank you so much...

1) don't use toolkits
2) USB debugging only works in Android anyway
3) just adb push a ROM to /sdcard and flash it. All you need to know is in my signature

frustrated need serious help bring SNS back to life

I have a SNS that has been unlocked and rooted. I want to go back to a clean original phone without the custom rom. Anyways I am not sure what happened but I can only either go into Fastboot mode or boot normally and get stuck on the "Google" screen. I really am not sure if I accidentally did something to cause this.
I have been trying every thread I could find here to just load some sort of recovery image. Problem is that my device isn't detected in adb. I can't push anything to the SNS. I can't even see straight since I've been at this for 5 hours. I have a pc running Vista. I have tried my Mac yet.
Please can someone help me. I am lost. Please spare the smart*** comments because I have tried and I have been at this for quite awhile.
thanks
Have you tried to use Odin to get back to stock. Its in the development section. You have to be able to get into download mode in order for it to work.

[Q] In a Bit of a Predicament with Nexus S 4G; is it possible to fix?

So like the genius that I am, I decided to mess with my Nexus S 4G. Right now, my PC will not detect my phone at all (won't show up at ALL, in my Device Manager or any toolkit that I've tried). Please note I had little experience and will probably look like a complete idiot, but bare with me.
So the steps I took were as followed (my phone came already unlocked)
1.) I first installed PDANet to get my computer to recognize my phone and install the right drivers
2.) After that, I flashed the latest, stable clockwork recovery mod
3.) Then, I downloaded the Hellybean ROM and installed it via clockwork recovery mod, with no problems
4.) I downloaded the Google Apps archive and dropped it onto my sdcard
5.) I then installed the google apps zip and then it all went down hill from then
Every time I turned on my phone, the nice Cyanogen mod logo popped up, and then once it was done booting up, it popped up with two error messages:
Code:
Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped.
Unfortunately, SetUp wizard has stopped.
Both of these error messages will not stop popping up and my phone is currently useless at this stage.
So, I went back into fastboot mode, and tried to fix it with these steps:
1.) I downloaded the "Factory Image "sojua" for Nexus S (850MHz version, i9020a)" images, and followed the instructions on this thread
2.) Once I flashed the bootloader image, my PC no longer detected my phone. It won't show up on my device manages (not even as an unrecognized Android 1.0 phone)
I installed the bootloader image because it was apart of the tutorial on how to do a complete factory reset, I now know that was stupid and not necessary.
So, you can obviously see I didn't know what I was doing, and what I did was quite stupid and careless. So unless you have any suggestions or want to help me, please do not patronize me, I am already mad enough at myself.
With that said, I am unable to even flash anything to my phone anymore, and I don't know what I can do. I tried using Wug's Nexus Toolkit to try and install the drivers, but it won't detect anything. On top of that, I am not sure if I have even flashed the correct bootloader image. Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Good luck. Flashed a sojua stock ROM on a sojus phone, bootloader and all. I don't know if you'll ever be able to fix this. :|

If you can put it into download mode you might be able to use Odin with a factory image to bring it back to life.

Make sure your cable is connected when you try to put your phone in download mode. Turn off the phone, then hold both volume + and -, and press power. Continue holding volume buttons until you see download mode.

[Q] Did I brick my Nexus 5?

Hello...
I have a horrible question. Did I ruin my Nexus 5? The short story, or just the problem I am having is that the phone is "Boot Looping", it launches as far as the 4-color animation, restarts, and repeats.
I downloaded WugFresh's toolkit and attempted to flash to stock. At this point the phone was on and operating, but the radio didn't seem to be working properly after I attempted to return to stock using a guide on youtube. When using this guide I got as far as the final command, fastboot -w update image-hammerhead-krt16m.zip. Every time I attempted to run this command a dialog box would inform me that fastboot had stopped working. So I attempted to use the toolkit Provided by WugFresh. I selected the option for a phone that was on and functioning and clicked "Flash Stock + Unroot. Everything went as I expected until it seemed to stop working, and the command window said: "erasing userdata". It would I left it like this over night and the phone was NOT booting.
I now am attempting to "Force Flash" with Wug's kit. But it's hanging on "writing system".
Can anyone advise me on what I should do next? Is my device completely bricked? What are my options? :crying:
I am going to try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2513937 I am going to assume that WugFresh's toolkit will NEVER finish "writing system".
I still seek council.
I would try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=47156064
I don't like tool kits and one click methods
When it's writing system how long do you give it? It can take like 5 minutes

That's why you should NEVER ever use a toolkit, I've seen too many instances just like this.
Use this guide to flash factory images, it's stickied in the general section :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2513701
Edit: As long as your phone can boot to the Google logo/fastboot, its all recoverable, so don't stress. And in many cases it can be recovered even if you can't get to the Google logo

I gave it more than 2 hours. :/
I will try your link. I have had no success with method in the link I posted.
I just tried the method you suggested (above poster) and once again it seems to be unable to get past 'erasing "userdata""...
I just tried erasing "userdata" with the "fastboot -w" and it appeared to be working... until fastboot stopped working and launched a windows dialog box as previously described. I read in a different thread, regarding a nexus 7 with a similar issue, that using a different computer with fresh drivers, solved the issue... Anyone have any ideas what is preventing userdata from being erased? Or maybe that is not my issue... Rawr!
Let's solve this!!! Come on guys! Guys?
Humor aside, I appreciate the suggestions so far.
Any one else have any ideas?
Edit: Thank you for the reassurance!
Can you boot into your coustom recovery/ normal recovery (Volume down and power, keep holding them till you see a menu) if you can do that you're fine

I fixed it... I used a different computer, an idea I got from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2424390
I appreciate all the help and I hope that someone wiser than I can isolate exactly what the problem is... Dome kind of driver issue if I know anything...
I really appreciate the quick and sincere replies to my questions and I look forward to being a part of the community.

[Completed] Need help with a lg tribute that is stuck in bootloop after a factory reset.

I have been reading everything I can find and tried to figure it out myself but the more I read the more questions I have and the less sure I am about trying any of the things I have read.
My problem is with an lg tribute from the company called Textnow. My friend ordered the phone from them and was having some issue she decided to try to fix by doing a factory reset which caused it to be stuck on the Lg boot logo. I tried booting to recovery to fix it. The recovery was TWRP. I was under the impression that Twrp was a custom recovery program that was installed after unlocking boot loader. Best I can tell is the phone was already rooted by the company. Does this sound right?
I messed with it for while but couldn't get anywhere with it because I haven't any knowledge of rooting except what I read . I noticed it kept saying something about simulating actions and figured that out but now after trying to back up and restore and poking around that it says there is no os , I was hoping someone could help me figure out where to go from here as it isn't my phone and I would hate to damage it although my friend keeps telling me to just try whatever no big loss because she can't use it like it is so. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Need help on pixel boot loop, version 7.1.2

Need help on pixel boot loop, version 7.1.2, i have been searching for hours, found answers that give me hope and some that dont. please someone help!!!
Hey guys, im extremely new to this rooting and stuff, however, my son seemed to think he is a professional ( he is not and doesnt knoow much more than i do when it comes to this stuff) my understanding is that he was attempting to root the google pixel using this way youtube.com/watch?v=iQQF3b1ttp0,which is from "HIGHONANDROID" from what i am aware , there has been nothing added to the phone like what most ppl are saying so to my knowledge supersu or twrp neither are downloaded onto the phone. he tells me he went as far as "fastboot flash unlock?" than attempted the "fastboot boot boot-to-root.img" the phone restarted went as far as google logo with black line accross than restarts all over. which it is now continually doing, it did show the warning about the thing being unlocked and what have you so he tried to "re-lock" it by doing a "flash lock?" if that makes any sense?? litterally got the phone 2 days ago can anyone please help me out. and please please dumb it down. My knowledge is quite limited with this stuff. thank you in advance.
