frustrated need serious help bring SNS back to life - Nexus S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a SNS that has been unlocked and rooted. I want to go back to a clean original phone without the custom rom. Anyways I am not sure what happened but I can only either go into Fastboot mode or boot normally and get stuck on the "Google" screen. I really am not sure if I accidentally did something to cause this.
I have been trying every thread I could find here to just load some sort of recovery image. Problem is that my device isn't detected in adb. I can't push anything to the SNS. I can't even see straight since I've been at this for 5 hours. I have a pc running Vista. I have tried my Mac yet.
Please can someone help me. I am lost. Please spare the smart*** comments because I have tried and I have been at this for quite awhile.
thanks

Have you tried to use Odin to get back to stock. Its in the development section. You have to be able to get into download mode in order for it to work.

Stuck in Fastboot Mode - Please Help!!!

Hi everyone. I have been looking everywhere i can and i cannot find any existing threads explaining how to fix this.
First off I am a little bit of a noob when it comes to rooting. I rooted my phone using a one-click method yesterday and was flashing roms fine. I couldnt find anything i liked last night so i restored the backup i made. This morning i was going to flash CM9. My phone was fine this morning. I turned off my phone and went into fastboot mode. When i went to recovery it came right back into fastboot mode saying "no boot or recovery image". No matter how i turn the phone on it goes to fastboot mode. Also, i can't seem to get my computer to recognize my phone no matter what i try. I have pulled the battery and left it out for 30 minutes and still nothing.
What am i missing.
Thank you in advance for any help.
I had a similar situation, don't get stressed, basically u'll have to force the phone into recovery, delete all the files in regards to android on ur pc, restart it, same for the phone, I don't exactly remember where it is but I think is around here on the forums at XDA that explain how to force the Nexus to be recognized by Windows again, or ;look it up on Google, lessons learned!!!
Also check the posts about Nexus being stuck on Boot and similar.

Since your in fast boot try to go to recovery. From recovery try to delete data and cache. Then try to reflash your rom. Chances are if it will not work. Maybe the file you downloaded is corrupted and u need to download it again.
PS don't forget to do a nand backup before flashing any rom or update.

[Q] In a Bit of a Predicament with Nexus S 4G; is it possible to fix?

So like the genius that I am, I decided to mess with my Nexus S 4G. Right now, my PC will not detect my phone at all (won't show up at ALL, in my Device Manager or any toolkit that I've tried). Please note I had little experience and will probably look like a complete idiot, but bare with me.
So the steps I took were as followed (my phone came already unlocked)
1.) I first installed PDANet to get my computer to recognize my phone and install the right drivers
2.) After that, I flashed the latest, stable clockwork recovery mod
3.) Then, I downloaded the Hellybean ROM and installed it via clockwork recovery mod, with no problems
4.) I downloaded the Google Apps archive and dropped it onto my sdcard
5.) I then installed the google apps zip and then it all went down hill from then
Every time I turned on my phone, the nice Cyanogen mod logo popped up, and then once it was done booting up, it popped up with two error messages:
Code:
Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped.
Unfortunately, SetUp wizard has stopped.
Both of these error messages will not stop popping up and my phone is currently useless at this stage.
So, I went back into fastboot mode, and tried to fix it with these steps:
1.) I downloaded the "Factory Image "sojua" for Nexus S (850MHz version, i9020a)" images, and followed the instructions on this thread
2.) Once I flashed the bootloader image, my PC no longer detected my phone. It won't show up on my device manages (not even as an unrecognized Android 1.0 phone)
I installed the bootloader image because it was apart of the tutorial on how to do a complete factory reset, I now know that was stupid and not necessary.
So, you can obviously see I didn't know what I was doing, and what I did was quite stupid and careless. So unless you have any suggestions or want to help me, please do not patronize me, I am already mad enough at myself.
With that said, I am unable to even flash anything to my phone anymore, and I don't know what I can do. I tried using Wug's Nexus Toolkit to try and install the drivers, but it won't detect anything. On top of that, I am not sure if I have even flashed the correct bootloader image. Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Good luck. Flashed a sojua stock ROM on a sojus phone, bootloader and all. I don't know if you'll ever be able to fix this. :|

If you can put it into download mode you might be able to use Odin with a factory image to bring it back to life.

Make sure your cable is connected when you try to put your phone in download mode. Turn off the phone, then hold both volume + and -, and press power. Continue holding volume buttons until you see download mode.

[Q] PLEASE HELP - Nexus 5 stuck on Google logo; accidentally deleted OS using TWRP

Hello everyone,
I am stuck in a very frustrating dilemma with my Nexus 5 and need help very badly. I somehow managed to delete my entire OS using TWRP. Now my phone is constantly stuck on the Google logo screen. I am able to get into the bootloader screen, but any further action from there only takes me back to the frozen Google logo screen. I have spent the last several hours researching this issue and found many, many forum posts about solving this same issue, but I either don't understand the things people are suggesting or what I am able to understand, does not work for my phone.
So far I have messed around with the Wugs Toolkit thing but not sure what is right step for me considering almost everything requires me to go into my phone settings to mess with the USB debugging mode....since I cannot even boot my phone I am obviously unable to do this step.
I also have read about pushing a ROM file onto my phone but I'm not quite sure how to do this and how I know it even worked.
Please, can anyone give me any pointers/step-by-step guides? Thank you so much...

1) don't use toolkits
2) USB debugging only works in Android anyway
3) just adb push a ROM to /sdcard and flash it. All you need to know is in my signature

[Completed] Phone rebooted, now only boots in Recover boot screen

Phone just randomly shut off after using gps (normally normal) and this time it decided to stay stuck in the recover mode screen. None of the options work. Cant recover, factory reset, nothing useful other than reboot which take me back to same white screen.
So i'm not really sure what my options are as far as possibly data recovery. I tried using the windroid but it only detects under fastboot mode and doesn't seem very useful. I tried reflashing the recovery img but didn't seem to do anything.
HTC Amaze
Hi!
To be clear, it's the Amaze 4g? Since you are trying to recover data.... You will need to ask here. Flashing to stock is probably the answer. But to recover data... Better ask in your device section about that...
>HTC Amaze 4G>Amaze 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Good luck!
ive posted in Amaze section but haven't gotten any replies... Currently i just need to know if theres a way to flash is without being able to enable usb debug? I tried using a stock rom and it worked for abour 15-20 minutes then locked up and rebooted itself back to bootloader and haven't been able to get it back since. The phone just stops after verifying the rom and doesn't ask to install it. I can only assume it's not the right one? but doesn't make sense since it's the same one i used the previous time and it did install
XDA Assist is only here to provide direction around the site. It is not for support. You'll just have to be patient. You've posted in the correct section for your device and that's all you can do I'm afraid.

[q] [help] bootloop g2 no download mode

Ok so this is my first time posting on XDA so please don't be dicks.
I've been on XDA before and I use it all the time when i've rooted stuff and messed around with my phones. I successfully rooted a GS3 last year and it was awesome and this year i have an LG G2 (ATT version D800). I rooted it a few months back and it took me a little while to do it but it worked. I didn't flash any custom roms or anything but i did use Xposed all the time and it was awesome.
Yesterday like a dumbass i took an OTA update and it put my phone into a bootloop with the message:
ERROR: Boot certification verify
Secure booting error!
Cause: Boot certification verify
Now all my phone does is light up with the LG symbol, flash that message, turn off and keep repeating. I have no download mode, I have no recovery, there is nothing I can do with any variations of button holdings and presses. I can turn it off but I have to hold the power button down for like a solid 15+ seconds to get it to stop. I was running stock firmware from LG, never flashed a single custom ROM on this phone (but I am familiar with it since i use to do it with my GS3 all the time).
Idk what to do, i've been all over the internet and XDA trying to fix this and figure it out. The major problem that I have is that I have a macbook and I know everyone uses PC so not everything from XDA applies to me unfortunately. I don't have access to a PC either unfortunately bc otherwise I would just try fixing it with a PC.
I do have ADB and I have just a little knowledge with that but nothing to extensive.
Please please please help me out, i've never posted anything on a forum before so I hope you guys can help.
PS, I did go to the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142 and that looks great but idk anything about Ubuntu and that whole thing seemed foreign to me unfortunately.
