Phone just randomly shut off after using gps (normally normal) and this time it decided to stay stuck in the recover mode screen. None of the options work. Cant recover, factory reset, nothing useful other than reboot which take me back to same white screen.
So i'm not really sure what my options are as far as possibly data recovery. I tried using the windroid but it only detects under fastboot mode and doesn't seem very useful. I tried reflashing the recovery img but didn't seem to do anything.
HTC Amaze
Hi!
To be clear, it's the Amaze 4g? Since you are trying to recover data.... You will need to ask here. Flashing to stock is probably the answer. But to recover data... Better ask in your device section about that...

Good luck!
ive posted in Amaze section but haven't gotten any replies... Currently i just need to know if theres a way to flash is without being able to enable usb debug? I tried using a stock rom and it worked for abour 15-20 minutes then locked up and rebooted itself back to bootloader and haven't been able to get it back since. The phone just stops after verifying the rom and doesn't ask to install it. I can only assume it's not the right one? but doesn't make sense since it's the same one i used the previous time and it did install
XDA Assist is only here to provide direction around the site. It is not for support. You'll just have to be patient. You've posted in the correct section for your device and that's all you can do I'm afraid.

I have a SNS that has been unlocked and rooted. I want to go back to a clean original phone without the custom rom. Anyways I am not sure what happened but I can only either go into Fastboot mode or boot normally and get stuck on the "Google" screen. I really am not sure if I accidentally did something to cause this.
I have been trying every thread I could find here to just load some sort of recovery image. Problem is that my device isn't detected in adb. I can't push anything to the SNS. I can't even see straight since I've been at this for 5 hours. I have a pc running Vista. I have tried my Mac yet.
Please can someone help me. I am lost. Please spare the smart*** comments because I have tried and I have been at this for quite awhile.
thanks
Have you tried to use Odin to get back to stock. Its in the development section. You have to be able to get into download mode in order for it to work.

Hi everyone. I have been looking everywhere i can and i cannot find any existing threads explaining how to fix this.
First off I am a little bit of a noob when it comes to rooting. I rooted my phone using a one-click method yesterday and was flashing roms fine. I couldnt find anything i liked last night so i restored the backup i made. This morning i was going to flash CM9. My phone was fine this morning. I turned off my phone and went into fastboot mode. When i went to recovery it came right back into fastboot mode saying "no boot or recovery image". No matter how i turn the phone on it goes to fastboot mode. Also, i can't seem to get my computer to recognize my phone no matter what i try. I have pulled the battery and left it out for 30 minutes and still nothing.
What am i missing.
Thank you in advance for any help.
I had a similar situation, don't get stressed, basically u'll have to force the phone into recovery, delete all the files in regards to android on ur pc, restart it, same for the phone, I don't exactly remember where it is but I think is around here on the forums at XDA that explain how to force the Nexus to be recognized by Windows again, or ;look it up on Google, lessons learned!!!
Also check the posts about Nexus being stuck on Boot and similar.

Since your in fast boot try to go to recovery. From recovery try to delete data and cache. Then try to reflash your rom. Chances are if it will not work. Maybe the file you downloaded is corrupted and u need to download it again.
PS don't forget to do a nand backup before flashing any rom or update.

This post doesn't seem to match others asked before.
I had a perfectly working rooted/rom'd HTC One (M8). Unfortunately, screen cracked so I sent it off to the insurer to sort. It came back looking great. However, I was now unable to access any of the internal storage. Everytime I tried to download a photo, voice clip or Mod Edit: removed mention of warez it would say 'unable to download', 'cannot save' or something along those lines.
I checked to see the device was still rooted. It was. Nevertheless, I perhaps in ignorance, ran through all the steps over again and spent 3.5 hrs doing so! I now have a wonderful adb file on my desktop and I was fiddling around doing fast reboots etc and trying to flash a customrom in the hope that this would fix the storage invisibility/lack of permissions. I tried fixing with busybox etc but I couldn't even install busybox as it didn't recognise that there was any internal storage whatsoever! I also could not load onto my storage (for the same reason!) the latest SuperSU zip to flash as a rom.
In the end, through fiddling about, I was able to find my old storage pack. It was all there and I located an old SuperSU from when I had previously rooted about 6 months ago (an old version now I assume). Flashed this and rebooted. I was still adb connected so ran a fastboot and chose to run the TeamWin Recovery Wipe (standard setting, not advanced).
When wiped, I tried to get my phone to turn back on thinking it would be factory reset and I could start again but now I literally cannot get my phone on!! It is plugged into the computer via USB (i've tried disconnecting it too) and no matter what I try I cannot get this phone to do anything now - it's just a black screen that doesn't look completely off if I look closely it looks like it is on somehow....? Tried holding down vol down and power - nothing. It has flatlined!
Any help PLEASE!!!!! ?????
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. The best place to get help is in your device's specific forum here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8 To get help on your specific problem try asking here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/help/help-thread-htc-one-m8-questions-t2897783
My Device is GT-S7582 Samsung. Stock Firmware. Not rooted.
Problem #1:
It suddenly reboots itself about 15 seconds after the launcher appears.
Problem #2:
After enabling USB-Debugging, the phone reboots, and USB-Debugging is back to being disabled.
Problem #3:
No recovery menu appears when going to recover mode, it's just a read exclamation on upper left corner and the Samsung Logo.
I tried flashing CWM using ODIN, but nothing happens after.
Problem #4:
I can flash the ROM with ODIN, but nothing happens after, the phone is in the same state. I tried about 4 stock ROMs already
Is there any other way I can fix my phone? Thanks.

If your phone isn't rooted flashing through Odin won't do anything unless you're flashing a rooting file to root you're phone. you need to root (through odin)then flash cwm(Odin) then ROM (Odin)or try factory reset and see if it makes your phone usable

It didn't work. It seems that my phone becomes READ-ONLY.
I have a 15 - 20 second window to navigate through my phone before it restarts. Every time I change something, like settings, it reverts back after it restarts.
I tried deleting some folders using a file manager, but when it restarts, the folder is still there.
Even in safe mode, the phone restarts.
Can any one help me? Please? Thanks.
Has any one knows how to fix my problem? I think my phone has become read only. Please help me, please.
Hi there,
I'm sorry but I can't find anything related to your question/device but if you already flashed 4 times stock firmware and still same errors then my advice is to go to service center with that device.
Please post that in the forum bellow for more answers from the experts.

Good luck
So the phone is not mine, it's my sister's phone, it is not rooted or anything, just a few days ago it rebooted itself and has been boot looping since, I really don't know what to do to fox it, the only things I thought of doing was to hold the power button and the volume up and down for a few seconds to take me to the recovery mode but it doesn't let me and yes I tried the two combos independently, searching a little I've found a few things, and they are that the phone might be soft bricked, and it tells me to download the android sdk something about cmw recovery but to be honest I'm not familiar with any of those things, any help would be greatly appreciated, I hope the info I provided is enough to get me some help.

Hello, and thank you for using XDA Assist!
Because there hasn't been any modifications done to this device, I would avoid at all costs any custom work (like CWM recovery), because your warranty (if your sister has one) would still be intact. Taking it back to the provider/seller is still an option here.
If you can still access what is called fastboot (if this device does have one, sounds like it does, although I don't know the key combos for that), you should be able to flash the Blu (official) firmware, depending on how they set up their updates, or at least get stock recovery going again. Once again, as long as you don't flash anything custom, you should be able to maintain the warranty status.
Please go ahead and create an XDA account, so you can post in other forums. Then, post in the [GENERAL HELP] Post Your Questions Here Instead of Making a New Thread thread (or at least) in the > Blu Vivo Air > Vivo Air Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum. Your device experts can be found there.
Hope this helps, and good luck!
