Can someone please tell me what icon that is in my notification bar that looks like a house with Wi-Fi signal above it?

Apparently it's some sort of "Network Extender", a network extender is some sort of extension placed directly in your house and works like a miniature cell tower or around those lines. Boosts connectivity, quite cool actually. Never heard of it until now and now I want one LOL.
All in all it indicates you're connected to your network extender and or are using it.

Does anyone know if the GS7 handles weak signals as good as the G6? I used to have a GS7 and bought a refurbished one again for Verizon but it seems like the signal strength isn't as good. it goes from 0-2 bars and HD voice sounds muddy. Is my phone bad or is the GS7 not as good as the G6 with signal strength. I never had signal issues with my G6 in my house. I am trying to figure out if i need to send my phone back to the seller.
Here's my signal strength. Does this look normal for the GS7?

anyone? Can someone tell me if the signal strength and meter matches to yours?
I notice if I toggle flight mode on and off or pull the sim card out the signal gets real good for awhile but then after a few minutes it starts dropping off and not being stable again. even going to Extended Network. Is my phone bad? do i need to send it back. can someone please help me? Also notice now twice i get the circle sign with a line through it then the network slowly comes back up.
Its driving me nuts that I don't know what it is!
Is it the data saver icon, found under connections, data usage, data saver on. Just looks different with your custom icons?

More likely to be the power saving icon, isn't it?
Mine looks pretty similar with stock Icons:

}
This is power saving icon i use it most of times.
Thanks guys! I got that icon removed. I think it was my 3yr old that activated it.
Anyone else have this in their status bar area? It shows my network connection twice. By the battery and by the clock. Is that an option that can be turned off?

That's just the way it is.
The left hand side shows the signal strength and the type of network you're connected to (4G+/4G/H+/H/etc), it will also show both networks if you're using dual SIM.
The right hand side shows how you're connected to the internet - cellular or wi-fi, with the cellular indicator also showing whether it's 4G+/4G/H+/H/etc.
So they're technically different but there's some overlap.

That's pretty dumb, but I figured that was normal when I looked at the homescreens of other uses. Thanks.

I have a Samsung S8 Active and I'm getting incredible upload speeds but average download.
I'm on the largest and fastest mobile carrier here in Australia, anyone got any ideas what might be causing this? Always thought DL should be the same or faster than UL?

Weird thing is you can see the download speed spikes quite high, then it just plummets.
On a similar issue in a different location I had my mate who is on the same network carrier sit next to me at a shop. We both ran a speedtest, he has a Google Pixel 2 (on specs the phones are almost identical, mine should be slightly faster). His hit 100Mbps+ for download while mine only hit 52Mbps.
double-post
So just to bump I've discovered that Carrier Aggregation is enabled on the Samsung G892A but it never connects it is always showing in the Service menu as CA: Not-Config so it is enabled but not connected even though the local carrier allows CA/VoLTE/VoWifi.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to get these working?
My phone's(LG G6) network signal strength is often NOT stable. Any solution or recommended app to help boost it?

Cool stuff bro
Try a network reset if you haven't already, a painless reset.
Clear System Cache found on the boot menu, never hurts and can fix many strange erratic behaviors.
Do not do a reload; find the root cause and correct. Otherwise it will probably just reoccur even if the hard reset initially seems to work.
