My phone's(LG G6) network signal strength is often NOT stable. Any solution or recommended app to help boost it?

Cool stuff bro
Try a network reset if you haven't already, a painless reset.
Clear System Cache found on the boot menu, never hurts and can fix many strange erratic behaviors.
Do not do a reload; find the root cause and correct. Otherwise it will probably just reoccur even if the hard reset initially seems to work.

Hi everyone,
I hope that this question is out of place and that someone here can provide an answer!
In the past week, my cell data usage and/or wifi usage has gone through the roof and it's all coming from Android OS. I have not rooted the phone, so it's the stock kernel. I am currently on OS 4.0.2.
I have included several screen caps showing the amount of data being transferred. I have checked all the other apps and they are showing a very average amount of data transfer. Android OS is consuming the vast majority of it!
Does anyone here have a clue as to what could be the culprit?
Thanks,
RMFlagg

Under accounts and sync do you have background data and auto-sync checked on? If yes that could be the problem because i think that counts as an android system procces.
Everything is set to sync, the problem is that services like GMail, Google +, Currents, Reader and the like all have their own catagories. They show fairly normal data usage, but Android OS was consuming at an alarming rate!(I have since had to turn off mobile data)
Background processes make my skin itch.

Using App Quarantine widgets for quick disabling enabling.
With Maps disabled, Now works fine in terms of determining my location, however the 'NAVIGATE' action is missing on cards.

What really works for me: processor underclocking + low screen brightness.
Nothin big.
1.Just put it into airplane mode when u have weak network (it sucks out a lot of juice trying to find a stronger connection) or when asleep (so that no one disturbs! )
2. Turn off wifi, gps, bluetooth when not in use!
life!
certainly low screen brightness and put in airplaine mode when I sleep
I don't have any hard facts but I feel like my phone has been getting worse and worse. Here's some screenshots of today's crap performance from stock battery usage and BBS.

Stock, rooted, running Vindicator kernel.
If you are experiencing that level of drain while your phone should be idling, dont worry. It is a common issue and there is a fix available. Quite certain root is necessary thought, if not to flash, to change permissions.
The fix is here

I had already done this fix a few weeks back. Not sure how it could've come back but I suppose it's possible as I have been tinkering with my phone. Thanks for the help!
Sad to say that fix did not work. My phone lost about 50% battery while I was asleep.
I made a previous thread where I tried to force LTE to solve my Cell Standby issue. In the end I couldn't figure out a way to do this on a non-rooted phone.
Until recently I found an app Network Mode that allowed me to select "LTE only" which I thought would solve the problem of my phone wasting his battery to finding a GSM connection (which I guess the problem is).
Cell Standby is currently still on the top with usage, but it dropped from 70-85% to 50%.
But I want it to drop more, is there anything else I can do to test to find what causes him to use this much battery, and possibly disable it?
PS. I don't have this problem when I put my Belgian SIM in my phone which isn't limited to internet data.

Bump
I tried to contact Google, they sent me to Samsung. Samsung said it's a stock android problem so sent me back, placed the bug on their bug system but no response yet. Anything I can try myself while waiting?
Last bump, I promise. I'm stuck between two companies and my phone can't survive a day.
I have a Samsung S8 Active and I'm getting incredible upload speeds but average download.
I'm on the largest and fastest mobile carrier here in Australia, anyone got any ideas what might be causing this? Always thought DL should be the same or faster than UL?

Weird thing is you can see the download speed spikes quite high, then it just plummets.
On a similar issue in a different location I had my mate who is on the same network carrier sit next to me at a shop. We both ran a speedtest, he has a Google Pixel 2 (on specs the phones are almost identical, mine should be slightly faster). His hit 100Mbps+ for download while mine only hit 52Mbps.
double-post
So just to bump I've discovered that Carrier Aggregation is enabled on the Samsung G892A but it never connects it is always showing in the Service menu as CA: Not-Config so it is enabled but not connected even though the local carrier allows CA/VoLTE/VoWifi.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to get these working?
