Hi. (I want to install CM 11 on this device.)
Today, I unlocked a bootloader of Xperia U by Flashtool. After that, I flashed a boot.img from CM 11 .zip. But there is a problem. I cannot insert ANY files in to phone, because when it starts, I see only SONY image and after that only black screen. And now, I cannost insert .zip file with CM 11. . There is CWM. Please, how to solve that problem? Now, I do not care which version of Android will be there... I need only call from the phone... Thank you very, very much!

Hello all !
My name is Seby, and I'm here because I consider this a serious community.
With some months ago, I changed the ROM of my Alcaltel One Touch 991, and my brother saw that I can do it, so he wanted to change the ROM of his Xperia e10i mini.
I rooted it, then he was needed to go out of country, so he got just the phone rooted.
Now, he came back, and wants to continue to change the ROM.
The phone was/is still rooted, so I started to search a good CWM for it.
After 2-3 hours of searching for solutions ( found somewhere a tutorial where unlocking bootloader was needed, but I couldn't unlock it because flashtool got error about remounting the system rw, then I kept searching another CWM ) I found a nice tutorial about How to install CWM on xperia e10i. ( this is the tutorial - this is the CWM )
I have installed it, then I wanted to test if it really work, so I spent about one hour to find the combination of keys for it. (spamming Back button while the first "Sony Ericsson" text is loading)
But sadly, it doesn't starts... I tried with ROM Manager (downloaded from pc and copied on sdcard because it doesn't appear in the Android Marker) and rebooted it in Recovery, but it was just rebooting.
I searched for the directory called CWM (or something like that) in phone's data and sdcard, but I couldn't find it.
I'm really bored of this solutions' search, so that's why I registered and posted this.
I hope you can help me, by telling me what should I install, what to do next, etc.
Here is the ROM that I want to install: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=961707
(looks nice, and the part with "is the most stable and feature-complete ROM for the mini for day to day use" convinced me)
Here are some details about phone:
Firmware
2.1-update1
Baseband ?
M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404015
Kernel
2.6.29
[email protected] #1
Number of compile ?
2.1.1.A.0.6

Did you try Volume down to get in to CWM?
That rom you want to install is 3 years old CM6 = Froyo
Pick some other one, atleast CM7....
You need to flash the kernel first (you can use flashtool)
Kernel has CWM built-in
Enter CWM and install .zip from SD (rom)
I used these when i had my X10 mini
Kernel
Rom

Thank you very much for the reply !
I followed the steps: I unlocked the bootloader, then I loaded the new kernel version... but after ithat, it exited from Flash Mode and started to turn on... but it is stuck in a boot loop now...
It cannot start the OS, it just restarts the loading animation after its own end.
I can access the CWM so I think I can fix it.
I will try to add directly the CM7 because I've read somewhere that this kernel works only with it, so I will give a try
If you have any suggestion, just tell me.
Hurray ! I've installed the ROM !
First, I couldn't install the ROM from CWM (error: can't mount /sdcard) ... then I put the SDcard in my phone and I saw that it is corupted, so I gave it a reformat, then I copied the ROM to the SD, and moved back the sdcard to the sony ericsson and I finally loaded the ROM
Thank you very much for your reply, martinusbe !
Until yesterday, I've lost my hope.
By the way, thanks to all tutorials too
Great.
Now you can try some different roms :silly:
P.s. there is a 'thanks' button, to say thanks...
Hi guys.
So today I was like experimenting with my phone (3 months old) and I was trying to install new ROM on it. I couldn't install custom ROM (CM 11.0) from my recovery mode because I was always getting some sort of errors so I took it to the next level and tried to do it with my PC. I downloaded ROM on PC and tried to install it with fastboot mode and the program that I downloaded on my PC asked me to flash .img file not .zip and I(dumbass) found boot.img inside of .zip file and selected only that boot.img file and flashed it. And now its stuck in boot loop.
My phone is not really famous and its not brand phone. It's "H18 NOA C24" some copy of S3 Mini I couldn't find the stock firmware or ROM for it on the internet. Please help, tell me what can I do to bring my phone back to live.
Thanks
Hi,
So what happened is you just flashed a kernel which probably isn't compatible with current ROM
Unfortunately I can't find anything about your device here so I would ask your question in the q&a section here and hope someone will have a fix for you

Best of luck!

Heres the entire story which i posted as question but havent recieved a reply yet. Hope someone checks this and helps
OK i ve been trying to flash a new custom rom on my Xperia P, i looked at a number of guidelines and doing things step by step.
Since im very new to this i downloaded a few Roms. I was following the guide "http://droidors.com/2014/07/08/update-xperia-p-lt22i-to-android-4-4-4-kitkat-with-slimkat-custom-rom/2/" and everything was going fine. I reached the step to "fastboot flash boot boot.img", i did that and then went on the next step to boot in CWM Recovery and install the zip rom and the Gapps. During the Zip Rom install i got status 7 error.
Now, i noticed that i might have flashed the wrong Rom so rechecked the guide and installed the correct Rom which is mentioned in "http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-u/p-development/rom-slimkat-4-4-2-release-candidate-t2657795" . But now THE PROBLEM IS, AFTER I FLASHED THE INCORRECT IMG, MY PC IS NOT RECOGNISING THE XPERIA P SAYING IT DOESNOT RECOGNISE THE DRIVERS, therefore im not able to copy the ROM Zip on the SDcard, to then run it from CWM.
Please help.
After sometime i tried the below
Ok, now i tried to flash the stock Rom through this link "http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-u/p-development/ftf-firmware-xperia-p-generic-world-t2322163", through flashtool to bring my phone back to life. I installed the drivers as per instructions from drivers folder, but for some reason the pc is just not accepting. I did install through this exact method yesterday night and it worked perfectly.
Please suggest. I hope im asking at the right place.
Urgent help please
I forgot to mention, after I flashed the SlimKat Rom, and things went out of hand ( till this point i could see Slimkat logo at boot and could also go in CWM Recovery ), I tried to restore through Nandroid Backup i had done. As soon i selected the restore option and then the backup file, within 2-3 seconds the phone went off, and then on boot all i can do is see "SONY" on screen. Nothing else happens.
Kindly advise, im stuck with no spare phone.

Hi guys I'm new to this forum, and new to Android development as well.
I've made a mistake editing a file in System/etc the name is Vold.fstab. and ive messed up the storage, now it doesnt recognise it.
I'm coming here asking for help on how to flash a custom rom, preferably Cyanogenmod latest working version. I would like to get a full tutorial step by step on how to flash the rom as I'm a completely noob.
Don't know the tools... I've previously rooted the phone if that helps.
Thanks a lot
Hello guys,
im using a Xperia XZs 32GB non Dual and i tried to build AOSP which still fails on my cloud instance.
In the meantime i unlocked the bootloader and after that, i noticed the non working camera i.e. green pictures caused by the DRM stuff.
So i tried this fix with kernel combined with the TWRP img and flashed it. After that im stuck at the Sony logo.
Is there any ROM i can flash now? ( i don't have windows and those usb-passthrough, adb stuffs with kvm is a poor experience)
or does some dev here already build successfully the AOSP images that i can flash to unbrick this mess?
regarding my build problems, i also posted in the sony dev forum [link]https://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/General-Discussion/Xperia-XZs-AOSP-7-x-build-not-working/m-p/1229197#M922[\link]
Thanks for any Help guys
EDIT: If someone ****ed up like me, i could restore it with the Xflasher tool from the thread here on XDA.
All you can do is flash the stock rom in flashtool

i installed windows 7 x64 on a spare harddisk and tried the latest and 2 previous versions of flashtool.
The newest one and the previous one went to "not responding" and the oldest one hang's on the last step including the specific XZs files for flashtool which i downloaded from another thread here.
Are already usable and with flashtool flashable files for the XZs out there?
I am able to boot to fastboot and to rescue state. I have also TWRP on it.
This sony flashtool doesn't work for this device or maybe cause of the unlocked Bootloader.
EDIT: is this legit? it looks sketchy: G8231_1308-6105_41.2.A.0.235-R4D_Customized_IT.ftf (i cannot post links, but its from android.gl and hosted on alafile which you have to pay for cause of 3gb filesize)
