One Mini stuck in the bootloader - HTC One Mini

I tried to turn on my phone and it goes straight to the bootloader. Its not in a boot loop. but in the bootloader (*** unlocked ***) at the top. Choosing factory reset and recovery only brings me back to the bootloader. Fastboot doesn't recognize the USB. Need help.

if you don't care about your data, just run the RUU.exe for you device, but make sure you install the drivers from HTC first.

Do you have a custom recovery installed? Can you use fastboot?

fastboot says "fastboot usb" but Adb devices and fastboot devices show nothing. whats happening is that even if i choose to power down in the fastboot menu on the phone, it will boot back up on its own, into the bootloader. I am able to boot to the OS if i am lucky by hard powering off (holding the power button), then letting go of the power button, and at a precise moment pressing the power button.

I've had the same problem, what i did was put my pc a few weeks back using recovery points. Then i was able to use fastboot again. After that flash a stock boot.img trough fastboot. My phone started up again.

[Q] Need help with possible hard brick

For starters, if there is already an answer to this question, please point me in the right direction because I have looked all over the forums and cannot find an answer. I was wondering if anyone could help me return my Nexus S 4G back to stock. I was in the middle of using one click stock when my power went out and now my phone just sits at the bootloader saying "fastboot mode-no boot or recovery img" and one click stock does not work.; meaning, it will sit and ask me to put the phone into debugging mode. I have also tried manually flashing the files from fastboot but it sits at sending file but does not flash. Even let it sit at the sending screen for 3 hours but it never flashed.
Maybe a brick. The same thing happened to me once, no img's, fastboot not working and a broken power button. I just got it back from a free repair
Sent from my Nexus S using xda app-developers app
Well, is your bootloader locked/unlocked? and try to do it manually with fastboot, at least you know that things are done correctly.
unlock bootloader is : fastboot oem unlock
lock is: fastboot oem lock
you could try to switch once and try to push the recovery image so you can flash a new rom.
Thanks for the help. I relocked and unlocked the bootloader and it did the trick. I was able to manually flash everything back to the phone
Glad I could be of help

Flash Rom from PC

My HTC Sensation started making trouble. It's S-off and has Revolution Rom but lately I only get pixel-snow on my screen. I tried to replace the screen but I still get snow (appears from the moment I restart the device). Last time it happened I reinstalled the rom and it solved the problem for a week.
I want to try and install a stock rom from the PC directly on the device. Is it possible and what do I need to do.
Thanks a lot

you can flash a stock RUU through your computer, this will replace every thing on your phone. you will loose your root and custome recovery but you will retain your S-Off status. you need to choose the appropriate RUU based on your CID. you can find a lot of RUU here in this link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2094380
and read the information here also
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1672425
Thanks a lot. How do I find my CID without being able to see the screen?

boot your device into bootloader
connect it to pc via usb(it should say fastboot usb in the bootloader screen)
from pc navigate to the folder where you have adb and fastboot files
open a command window there
do the command
fastboot getvar cid
read the information here in this guide (link below) to know how to find your cid, and how to flash the RUU properly.

I've installed the sdk and now when i connect to device to the computer it's not recognized at all. Due to the fact that i cannot see what's written on my screen (pixel snow storm...) I don't know if it's saying "fast-boot usb" in the boot-loader screen or even is i'm at boot-loader screen at all.
The pc doesnt recognize the devide so i cannot navigate to the folder with adb or check for CID....
Does anyone here knows the reason for the pixel-snow screen? It's not a lcd problem (I replaced it and it didn't change a thing), no one had this problem before? I know people had it before and usually they solve it by replacing the device (cause they have warranty...).

Yes, I've been using htc sync ever since I bought the device. Maybe I'll try installing it again.

O.k I'll try to find where to get the drivers (help would be greatly appreciated).
One more problem I've encountered is that I cn't go to bootloader by Holding Vol down + Power button, The device just doesn't respond or it just runs in normal mode (power on).
btw - the link you've given me told me i need the htc sync for the drivers:
Step 3. Download HTC Sync Download Page Here
Now we have our SDK setup we are close to having our phone ready for ADB.
Download HTC Sync (It is a rather large file 148MB)
This will give us our Drivers for our Sensation.
Once downloaded run the .exe file and follow the on screen instructions.

i don't remember exactly the steps
but i think you open device manager from pc navigate to drivers and select update or something like that
by the way if you can't enter into bootloader or can't boot it normally or the led doesn't show red while charging
then your device might got bricked
try charging the device without battery, sim and sdcard for 5-6 hours
put them and try boot the device normally
if it won't boot then it is bricked

The device in not bricked for sure, I can restart it and get all the way to the Ring and also to the maid screen where I can press power-off and turn the device off buy touching the right locations on the screen (From memory...can't see the screen).
In device manager there is no such a general option to add or update drivers, one must choose the device for the update...don't know which one.
I think the problem is with the Quick restart, or something like that, that prevents me from going to recovery mode. The problem is that I don't know how to get to that location and change it cause I cannot see my screen. I need screen shots of revolution 6.80 to get to that point...
Is there any way to see my device's screen on the computer? what would help.

[Q] Stuck on loadscreen

Morning,
Currently using CWM Recovery
Flashed Hypernonsense a few days ago with no issues, found I couldnt access the wifi hotspot option as it kept crashing settings, no worry I shall flash another ROM.
ROM installs fine, CWM is happy, reboot phone, passes HTC screen then sticks on the ROM logo screen, eg Cyanogen rotating ring. This has occurred on 3 roms I have tried, JB and ICS based. Luckily I have the backup from my original ROM so I can still use my phone.
Any ideas as to the stickiness?
Thanks
Did you clear the cache and data before installing the new rom? If you haven't, try that.

same issue
I had this exact same problem, but I connected my phone to PC via adb, flashed the boot.IMG that was on my PC, and the phone rebooted with no problems. Hope I helped!

Or if you happen to have a Win 7 - 64 bit, try on a 32 bits machine. My Sensation doesn't respond in fastboot USB on my 64bit machine (my asus TF300T does, so it's HTC driver related but unsolvable for me), but it has no problems on my 32bit netbook.
As to why it won't show the bootloader screen, I'm puzzled. Maybe check if your volume-down isn't blocked by something since you opened it?

Been there and done that, but no luck. I tried several drivers, from 64bit HTC Sync ones to Generic 32-bits, it doesn't seem to make any difference for me. Even the sync didn't always 'see' my phone. On my netbook (32-bits) it has no problems whatsoever. So I've given up on it. Perhaps Win 8 is better? Anyway it's getting a bit off-topic. It's not a problem for me, but I merely offered it as a suggestion that it could be a similar cause.

[Q] Nexus S Brick - Any hope of recovery?

Hey everyone,
I've recently had a lot of trouble with my old S. I randomly lost root, which caused my phone to go into a boot loop. After multiple attempts to reflash to another ROM, it just wasn't going. I decided to go back to square one and flash back to stock. It seemed to have completed, rebooted, then stuck on the Google logo with lock icon for a good 15 minutes. I did a battery pull, and now it won't even power on. I connected it via USB, and it does have some life in it - however Windows only recognizes it as "Unknown Device", instead of being in ADB or fastboot. I tried installing the USB drivers to it, but no go.
Is it curtains for my little friend? Cheers!

Pull the battery and sim out and let it sit for 5-10 minutes, reinstall battery (sim is not required) and try to boot it into bootloader if successful connect to toolkit and let the toolkit flash to stock..
if it won't go to bootloader, try booting normally and feel if it has that small vibration at the start... or will boot to logo/system..
If you can boot up fully don't turn it off/pull battery, make sure you are set up for debugging and let the toolkit flash to stock..
If you get only to the logo wait a couple minutes and see if it reverts to bootloader/recovery.. connect to toolkit and flash to stock..
If you only get a vibration and no screen, it may be screen related??? (only a slight maybe)
Fingers crossed for you and your Nexus S..

[Q] Stuck in boot loop and bootloader is also in boot loop!????

Ok so about a month ago i bought an htc one mini m4 from att and since i think im pretty well trained on installing custom roms and such i thought i would do this to my htc. I been looking for a way to fix it but i dont see nothing like this and this is a first time for me as far as the bootloader boot loop goes... Does anyone have any knowledge of how to fix this??? i would appreciate any help!!!!!
