I am having a lot of problems with mail delivery since switching to ATT and the infuse 4g. There have been serious delays with email delivery. I have tried using 3 different email programs(Touchdown, Stock, and Enhanced Email). AZnyone have any insight before I call ATT?
You were able to resolve this issue? I'm inclined to think it was a google server issue.
I''m having an issue syncing all my google calendars via exchange. Only one of them shows up.
Hi all
This was a new one for me and i hope its a one off.
I was reading my emails using the undread option across mutiple accounts and once i had read them all and switched back to all mails view all of my mails had gone from the device.
I then exited mail and went back into it and it showed the setup account choices screen.
I checked settings and accounts and they were all still there with a green sync icon but checking the mail app they were not showing as registered.
The only fix i could find was a factory reset.
Has anyone else experienced this and is there a better fix? I have searched the forums and found nothing so far.

This also has happened to me multiple times. I had 2 accounts: exchange for work and pop/smtp for home email. Mail client crashed (do not remember exactly what i was doing) and upon re starting it i was presented with the screen to set up mail accounts.
Checking the Account & Sync in Settings listed both accounts, but the mail client was unaware of them.
First time this happened I simply re-entered account details in the mail client and everything worked.
Second time it happened I could enter the exchange account details but client reported that it could not connect.
This required a factory reset to fix. Called north american support line, they had no record of this problem on file & suggested I use k9 client due to history of mail client issues on other devices. I could not get k9 to work on exchange.
When it happened the third time, I was able to reenter the accounts into the email client again and things worked.
I am now evaluating touchdown mail client for exchange. I use the gmail client for some other accounts and it works fine.
I noticed since I installed the ICS leak about 2-3days ago, Im able to receive my email from exchange just fine, but cannot send email, they just get stuck in the Outbox. I just noticed this today after seeing a ton sitting there. I can continue to receive emails no problem.
This is an exchange setup, so obviously there is no incorrect outbound mail server setting like SMTP or IMAP.
So on a hunch I decided to add this exchange account to my iPad, and send a test mail, and it worked! So for some reason the phone refuses to send out any email from my exchange account but has no problem receiving mail into it.
I also have a GMAIL account which is setup using the native Gmail app and that works flawless, no issues there, its just the native email account with exchange now that seems to have an issue.
Anyone else having this issue? Ive tried to delete the account, re-add it, no change. Then went to Application and cleared all data/cache, no change.

never heard of this issue, but what about k9 as an alternative
K9 doesnt support Exchange Activesync yet, it only supports Exchange Webdav (which is older Exchange server implementations).

I know its definitely the native email app that has issues with sending the mail through Exchange ActiveSync. I just downloaded Enhanced Email from the market and put my same credentials in for my corporate email and was able to send out mail with no issues. Wondering if anyone else uses the native ICS email app with Exchange Activesync has issues.
I had that problem with the native email app yesterday with a recovery based ICS install.
After messing around with it for a while, I did find that the way the e-mail app is working is really odd/seems to require some of the bloatware I typically freeze. I went ahead and did another factory reset of settings in CWM and wiped cache and such a few times, and it did start working.
After the reset and not touching anything, I got the exchange setup to work with both the exchange server at work, and Hotmail's version of it.
I am getting same issue. I tried delete and adding account again. It works for few hours and after that it starts accumulating emails in outbox.
I have not factory reset again yet, as I would need to install all apps again
I ended up reverting back to GB. I have to be able to reply to work email. There is something wrong at the framework or core in this leak. Cause even other email apps like Enhanced Email had the same issue. Worked fine for a few hours then stopped.

Was seeing the same issue, messages in the outbox that wouldn't send until manual refresh. Changed the account setting 'Auto resend times' from 3 to 'No limit' and problem solved!
Hello All,
I just bought a Nexus 5 and got a upgrade of android 4.4.3 yesterday.
Well, Is there any way to have push email service for the default email app for a gmail account.
Android 4.4.2 had a bug with exchange server and it has been fixed. I checked it on my hotmail account. I am getting notifications without turning on the sync. Same what I want it for gmail account.
I know I can use the gmail app, but for that sync should be turned on and I guess it will consume more battery.
Gmail sync is possible on my previous phone that was Galaxy R which had samsung push service running in the background.
Is there any way to achieve this in Nexus 5?
Hello,
i have a odd problem with Gmail on a Nexus 5X running stock Android 6.0.1. I didn't find any solution using Google so far...
What I did:
- changed my phone from Nexus 4 to a Nexus 5X, on the Nexus 4 everything worked fine (running CyanogenMod 13)
- set up two mail accounts in Gmail (one is GMX and one of my university). Incoming servers are both IMAP.
- set the synchronization to every 30min
The problem:
every 30min when the mails are synchronized I get a notification for new mail, I read them, everything is fine. The next 30min when it gets synchronized again I get the same mails marked as unread (plus additional mails I may received). Even if I delete the mails on my phone I get them again. Same behaviour on both accounts.
Shouldn't there be something like a respond to the server that the client already received/deleted those mails? I think I also used IMAP on the Nexus 4 and no problems with it.
I hope someone knows how to fix it, it would be highly appreciated!
Thanks
solved
A Gmail update (v. 6.6.126913422) today solved the issue!
