I have just installed Google Launcher of Android 4.4 (KitKat) on Galaxy Note 3. It really works great and I like the Google Now integration.
Only thing is that on 5.7 inch screen, icons look little big...here is the initial impression:
How is the kit kat camera apk? Does it work on the note 3

Sorry but what's the point in this if you kill the pen totally in system? Or all the pen functions work?

All pen functions still work with the 4.4 Google Experience Launcher.

Well if you want everything to look better and you're rooted, install xposed and the app settings module and change the Google search app dpi to 420(that's the one I found to work the nicest with space) and the font scale to 120 and voila

No root needed. You're just downloading two apks. It's very simple. You get the upgraded search and the new Google Experience Launcher which is fun to play with. As indicated above you do lose the nice transparent status bar.

On android 4.3 there was a way( as well as a app) that allowed you to change permission on apps, for example, on Facebook you can remove the location permission and so on, is there anything like that for kitkat? Btw Im completly stock and no I dont want to root my phone thanks in advance

Not the correct place to ask, for future reference would post a question like this in Q&A,
In Original Android Development head to PSX, I know that app ops was 4.3 , in 4.4 it changed a little, works just as well.

baked into the rom. 4.4 removed it or did something with it where its hidden from the user. in 4.3 it was accessible by creating a custom activity to launch it.
shameless plug:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2540233
My app also contains a version of App Ops that can be installed separately using root (doesn't need root after install), which also adds a Search button to filter those long lists of apps.

The ones in the market are unreliable. Would love to know how to do this on a stock odexed rom.
I paypal handsomely for any dev work on this. Ive seen the mod on a deodexed N5 rom but would like to stay stock.
I have zero problems. just miss this ability. PM me for pricing for your hard work.
tutorials accepted too!!!
You should root. Takes 5 minutes max. Then install xposed and gravitybox. This info is free

Well in an rooted/unlocked. but i use ART. Which in unfortunately xposed doesn't support.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I really don't think you can do this reliably without being rooted and using Xposed. You'll need to weigh up whether you value the minor speed increase you get opening apps with ART up against the features Xposed will give you. Honestly, I think it's a no-brainer, as for example, GravityBox does exactly what you want for free.
Where's the deodexed mod? Maybe I can use that to help you.

Looks like the latest update to google play music 5.4 N broke your mod you coded for me. was wondering if you could update it for me. I'll gladly pay again for your services. Looks like they added a "play next" to the player and it doesnt recognize the volume hold to change now.
4.4.2 stock ART
You also included the reboot menu which was also very helpful.

I flashed the zip, but it doesn't do anything if i hold down either volume button. Neither have the extended power menu what did i do wrong?

I believe it's configured for ART. Enable that and see if it works. The latest Google play music update seems to have broken the hold volume when screen off to change track feature though.

Not sure what happened. But this morning while connected to my Bluetooth head phones the hold to skip function works fine. Guess it only works when head phones are attached. Good for me

Take a look in Settings/Language & input/Settings for Android Keyboard (AOSP)/Add-on dictionaries.

@ jendrassik, you mean about Google Play Services and/or System Android (Android OS)?
For System Android I have something similar but it doesn't seems to affect my battery life more than that...
For Google Play Services, I don't have it in my battery stats, but if I remember right it's a "known" issue, what Gapps do you use? If you reboot, it persists?
It persists after reboot.
Banks gapps installed.
Could these be related to the issue?

I use an old version without this issue, at least for me (the 12-11_Gapps_Standard). Oh well in any case it will be updated automatically...

Ah..., if you have not changed it, with a file explorer, go to:
Code:
/sys/class/timed_output/vibrator/amp
Or in terminal use the cat command.
Or install Trickster Mod (Play Store) and take a look in the "Specific" tab.

After a fresh install of the latest Purity, I was having mobile data issues when previously I did not using the stock rom. The signal bars in the notification drawer were orange, and rebooting, toggling data on/off, and changing between LTE and 3G didn't work either. I had zero mobile network connectivity...
I'm on AT&T with a sim card that's barely a month old I got at the AT&T store when I switched from my iPhone 5s.
Any ideas?

Oh these are display tweaks so it wont bring out extraordinary smoothness but
it increases benchmark scores by 200 or 400
If ur device was not laggy in the first place then u wont actually see the effect
Also make sure u have init.d support (u can do this using uni init app - link in op)
link for init.d posting here too - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1933849
Also this tweak unlike supercharger and many others doesnt contain any ram managing or oop value modification tweaks
just some display tweaks so it cant break ur device
I have tried... and not bad, looks better!
