On android 4.3 there was a way( as well as a app) that allowed you to change permission on apps, for example, on Facebook you can remove the location permission and so on, is there anything like that for kitkat? Btw Im completly stock and no I dont want to root my phone thanks in advance

Not the correct place to ask, for future reference would post a question like this in Q&A,
In Original Android Development head to PSX, I know that app ops was 4.3 , in 4.4 it changed a little, works just as well.

baked into the rom. 4.4 removed it or did something with it where its hidden from the user. in 4.3 it was accessible by creating a custom activity to launch it.
shameless plug:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2540233
My app also contains a version of App Ops that can be installed separately using root (doesn't need root after install), which also adds a Search button to filter those long lists of apps.

I have searched for hours to see how to do this. I want the camera out of MIUI 1.7.29 and use it on CM 7.1.
I have downloaded the rom onto my computer....went to the download...went to the miuicamera.apk and put it on sd of my nexus s 4g. Opened up Root Explorer..went to the file, long press move, then went to /system/app tapped make R/W then tapped paste...changed all the permissions to the same as stock camera. Reboot. It wont open..just force closes. I really like the camera and want to use it. I hope someone here can help!
I have the same problem please help
This is weird, I was just about to open this same thread hahaha
I've tried the same process as you and same outcome. Also I've found some apk's that actually work but there's no frontfacing camera support.

I have recently installed the Android SDK and found that i could pull system apps form emulators! i used this to get all android apps that i thought would be cool to have and these are the ones i could get to work with no root.
Calculator
DevTools (Development)
Spare Parts
DeskClock
Email
Custom Locale
Music
Terminal Emulator(Can be found in DevTools)
The apps that I tried that DON'T work are:
Launcher
Browser
I don't know if Gallery works or not... i haven't had the chance to try.
EDIT: sorry for cutting off... accidentally hit submit then internet went out :/
EDIT: added more apps that work and linked Gallery for you guys to try out.

If your using the XDA app, click dpwnload then use a file manager and go to mnt/sdcard/xda-downloads then click the one you want to install.
If not, click the link then use a file manager to go to mnt/sdcard/downloads and click the one you want to install.

does anyone know of ANY apps or mods that enable multiple user login on the Note 10.1 similar to the nexus 10 where you have your own profiles on the lock screen for multiple users?
so far, I have only found ONE app that does this but havent tried it yet: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...xLDEwMiwiZmFocmJvdC5hcHBzLnN3aXRjaG1lLmtleSJd
any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated!
Multi user login in Android 4.2 is embedded into the system at a very low level. Such a thing is very hard, almost impossible to port, especially without the source code of the ROM you want to port it to.

I've tested both ways now and in principle both go, but there are advantages and disadvantages of each. I would like to tell about the most important:
1. SwitchMe App:
i rooted the device with the above method.
then installed the switchme app and granted superuser access.
advantage:
Every user has a completely separate account on the tablet.
disadvantage:
with every switch between the users the tablet has to reboot.
2. terminal app:
also rooting with the above method.
create a new user with pm create-user Katja (my wife)...
advantage:
switching between the users is possible in the on / off menu and dont require a reboot
disadvantage:
same apps and save games in the apps
notification does not reset after switching the user. (this is very annoying)
After all i decided to not switching right now. and if i will do, i will use the SwitchME app.
maybe there will be a update to version 4.2 in near future. This will be genius with this fabulous tablet.
I hope i can help some of the users here.

App Ops works fine on Android L. Tested using my personal superuser mod that includes app ops, didn't change any of the code that worked fine on 4.4, so one of the other methods will surely work.

The main difference is, I have baked the App Ops stuff into a Superuser apk which I have in /system/priv-app in my ROM. It's not a simple shortcut like a lot of the App Ops enabler apps.
Found via a quick Google: https://github.com/theblixguy/AppOps/tree/master/apk
Seems like this guy basically did the same thing. So grab the apk, push to /system/priv-app, set permissions to 664 (he recommends 777 which is not necessary but will also work), and reboot (might not even need to reboot).

Someone has made it(by installing a shortcut-apk into /system/priv-app/ )

There will be no difficulty for the AppOpsXposed to support L provided that Xposed works on the ART-only L.

you will need the sourcecode of that.... and then look if the app breaks the rule of dalvik<->art compatibility (it should not get the runtime directly or the garbage colector etc) for exact informations look at official google anouncments (google it lol)
if you are not a dev.... please inform the dev of this app
