So, in case you didnt notice, TMobile had a event last night as well as Amazon..
For us TMO users, some great news!
-Free unlimited music streaming, not to count against your data
-a new Music station, in conjunction with Rhapsody, free for t mo users
-VOLTE in 16 more cities now..
- a new program that allows a 7 day, "free test of TMO network" with the use of an Iphone 5S to try their network!!!
I just did a speed test inside my house, in the Suburbs of Chicago, one of the new VOLTE cities..
43 megs down, 13 megs up, in my BASEMENT!!!
Kudos to TMO for kicking the competitors to the curb!

I'm in Columbus, Ohio one of the Wideband LTE markets and my speeds haven't gone any higher yet so not sure it's activated in my area yet. Still good speeds without Wideband LTE.
I don't think VOLTE is big deal.
I'm still kind of pissy that T-Mobile pulled a fast one and sent me renew later for my discount but dropped the association. lol I told TmoNews about and they did a story on it. Back when T-Mobile tried to drop discounts but didn't because customers were pissed they said current people with a discount would be grandfathered in. I have 4 lines and the savings was over 20 bucks. Not all about the money just the way T-Mobile messed up the discount thing not once but twice and I'm not alone. I have a discount AT&T and Verizon and looking into Cricket Aio.

well, after dealing with the horrible Sprint Network, and the horrible death star of ATT, for me, at least, TMobile is a fantastic, breath of fresh air..
God help us if they merge with Sprint..
Woot woot
Sent from my LG-D959 using Tapatalk
I was with Sprint 14 years and left them a year ago for T-Mobile because they kept telling my slow web speeds was because of four of my phones were defective. lol If the Sprin T-Mobile merger happens I'm probably gone even if T-Mobile is running the show. I don't see how the will lower prices like the Softbank owner says but probably awhile before it happens if it happens at all. The good thing is T-Mobile is lowering prices for all the carriers.
Sorry I'll shut up now. haha
yeah, quit hijacking my threads!!!
I had Sprint for 10 years, and actually liked them alot, until they were bought by Softbank; then they became just as tough to deal with as ATT/Verizon, plus, their network went to hell, and even though Chicago was one of their first cities with the new network, we couldn't even make calls in our house, let alone get any reliable data speed..
I am counting on the FTC to not let this merger happen, and if they do, I will probably just buy a Virgin Mobile phone and go that route; all the "major" carriers really suck now, except TMO, IMO, and its not worth partnering with any of them at this point.
Well apparently the rhapsody deal is only for the credit check unlimited plans. If you're on the no credit check unlimited plan you have to pay Four to Ten dollars for service. I've been having issues the past few day with my service in Dallas getting 5-10megs where I normally get 35-50 megs down and for a long time. Apparently there is something going on that should be corrected in the next 72hrs said the T-Mobile rep. I'm hoping they're upgrading or something, but I don't see getting much higher than I'm used to atm.
EDIT: Well after reading Dallas is also one of the cities supposed to recieve volte today so that could be the reason for the current troubles.
Wait so this music thing, you can use it without it affecting your data? Cus I have 2gb and it would kill my data

Tmo has not dropped state employee discounts. I switched from Verizon because they were cleaning me out even with their discounts. Tmo costs me 80/mo less than big red. And the coverage in the sticks with Tmo is not as bad as I thought it would be.

Yep. this is the most all-around pleasing phone I';ve ever owned.
My dad is retired from the military so I'm going to make him a authorized user so we can get our discount back.
T-Mobile couldn't tell me what 16 Wideband markets were active. Then another T-Mobile told me "although wideband LTE is available in 16 markets every tower in that market may not support it yet. We will continue to improve and you will continue to see advancements in the future! A customers reply "if T-Mobile doesn't have the info on when these cities would be activated why would T-Mobile announce that they are in 16 new cities now. They didn't say it's coming they said we are now in 16 new cities with wideband LTE. This is very unprofessional to say the least. Good point...
I really liked the G2 but the curved design got me with the Flex. The G2 would probably feel small now.

looks like tmobile is closing down? what do you think?
The last sentence in the article sums it up nicely "The brand name may disappear but the company operations and stakeholders will remain."
TMo just replaced their US CEO with new blood (lets let some of the Euro hardware in, m'kay?) like literally just a few weeks ago, and they're suggesting they're pretty aggressive with continuing the rollout of HSPA+ nationwide. The Voice Stream er Tmobile name may go away, but the entity it self isn't going anywhere.
...And although Sprint and Tmobile's target demographic does suggest a lot of overlap, in my belief, in the event of an end of days scenario for Tmo the most likely acquirer of tmo would be.... ATT! Tmo is shaped nicely to fit into the hole in ATT's portfolio. ATT is phasing out of iDevice exclusivity quite soon and would welcome the inflows of Android devices and their higher than normal profit margins. And for the shareholders, such an acquisition would give ATT significantly more Mobile exposure and offset some of the massive cash hemmoraging from their ailing Landline business. And finally, a huge majority of Tmo's Phones in the US were originally equipped with ATT compatible radios in their source countries where ATT already has a presence, then converted for the US - the whole thing just lines up quite well!
If ATT does pick up TMo,im deffinately leaving. Not sure who ill switch to tho, everyone else is more expensive and ATT doesnt have "unlimited data" anymore. Sprint's customer service sucks, and Verizon will charge you as much as they want cause they can.

+1 me too! I truly hope TMOUS stays…I like my service and the customer support is better than any other phone service I have had.
I wouldn't worry to much about it. They claim their lack of 4G is whats gonna hold them back. But whats funny is untill last year every network but sprint said 4G was a joke and would never work. After seeing the first 4G phone appear on the market I'm inclined to think 4G is gonna be a failure for mobile. No one wants a phone with 2 hours of battery life in trade for double the speed. Besides didn't Tmo already say they plan to roll out 4G in 2012, and everyone else jumped on the bandwagon saying 2011. If I were tmo I would skip it and hold out. They already use 3.75G Also the OPs post looks like a propoganda blog, heres the latest real news site report on TMO
http://connectedplanetonline.com/3g4g/news/tmobile-expanding-4g-061610/
They are claiming their 3G with HSPA or whatever is actually faster then sprint 4G. LOL Having tried all the 3G networks around here I wouldn't disagree with this statement. All my coworkers have to hook up to my phone via wifi to get any HD video on their phones. For some reason Verizon, ATT, and Sprint don't support it through their data plans, yet all 4 can connect to my Tmo 3G and watch HD youtube all night. We all though this would of made a great Tmo, Verizon, ATT map commercial.
Sounds like a lot of baseless speculation, just like a Sprint/Nextel merger. Teaming up with Virgin Mobile? Really
T-Mobile won't be acquired by AT&T, don't worry about it. If AT&T could kill some competition and become #1 they would've purchased T-Mobile
T-Mobile is still making millions, unlike Sprint.
Actaully sprints not in too bad of shape. They have many loans out but all are paid up and they have live 200 million in the bank for a rainy day. They took out billions to roll out 4G and now they basically own it and are years ahead of everyone else in 4G. I've actaully noticed many more sprint phones the past 6 months too. That Dan guy must be doing something right. LOL
BTW I'm getting
2.74 down
0.74 up
211 ping
Boy they aren't kidding, the HSPA doubled your 3G speed. Hopefully we will get it in a couple months.
Sprint 4G is usually pulling 4-5 down ? up.
That's weird, they opened a store near me recently.
Pure rumors...Good old Tmobile is not going anywhere!
I am currently with t-mobile and looking to change carriers now that's the merger is it true. I am split between the sprint EVO 4g and the verizon samsung droid charge... They both have great coverage and both work on 4g with gingerbread, I am looking for peoples opinions on them... Root capabilities, functions, etc...

Evo 4G owner for almost a year. Evo development and support forum is "Ginormuous". However, the phone is over a year old, so there are more attractive/powerful devices in the market.
Sprint unlimited data/phone calls… nuff said! Look outside the sprint store for sprint phones. In my area, Radio Shack is selling brand new evo4g's for $50 with a new contract. Sprint is also throwing in $125 credit for switching carriers. I also get a 23% employee discount that sprint gives out to several business and larger corporations. Hope this help.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
That helps a lot!
I've seen that Sprint has better coverage than Verizon and they still have unlimited data, unlike any of the other carriers!
Hopefully I can get a discount, I work for a small Engineering firm, but my wife works for a large local credit union. I tried her email on their discount check website and it said that nothing was available, but I bet I can talk one of the sales associates into saying I work somewhere.
Thanks for the tip on shopping outside the sprint stores... I would have never thought to visit Radio Shack.
Now to try to get out of my T-mobile contract w/o paying ridiculous breaking contract fees! Any tips?
IMO Verizon has better coverage at the moment. Their LTE download speeds are unmatched in the US from my understanding. However, I'm more than satisfied with sprint's 4/3 G coverage where I live. Sprint I'm hearing will soon offer LTE coverage but when, is anysones guess. Also check the 4g coverage in your area for sprint. There are several large markets that don't have sprint's 4g.

Why leave T-Mobile if you're happy with their service?
You can get a Sensation with a 2-year contract and AT&T has to wait until your contract ends before trying to screw you.
If you are in Kansas City......Sprint is a no brainer.
I'm happy with T-mobile's services... their coverage is decent in my area, there are a few places I go throughout my city that I only get Edge coverage. Everywhere I travel I don't get service though... my moms house north of the city get's very faint Edge service, my wife's mom's town (1.5 hours away) is roaming on AT&T. My grandparents in Ohio, I have to shut my phone off as there isn't even roaming available. My relatives in Colorado, there's no service at all either.
We are starting to travel more and I would like to get decent coverage other than along the interstate.
We shall see how all this pans out. Does anyone know when the merger will take affect and towers will be shared? AT&T customers will get the added benefit of using T-mobile towers, but will T-mobile customers be allowed to use AT&T towers? Or will they restrict it and leave us with current service until we renew contracts over the next couple of years and try to get us to sign with AT&T to get the benefit of using both sets of towers?
I'm not a big fan of the merger... nor of T-mobile's laziness in sending out OS updates for phones. I like staying mostly stock on my phone except for the kernel and the ability to backup/restore. My experience with T-mobile has been good up until the last year when we've had to return 4 defective phones and realize coverage sucks!
By all means, please keep pointing out reasons I should stay with T-mobile! I would love to have someone talk me back into staying!

Sprint has a 30 no questions asked return policy
Verizon has a 14 day no questions policy.
I recently switched from Sprint EVO to a Verizon Charge.
I bought the EVO last year for the 4G but My personal experience has been less than stellar (Houston) Your mileage may vary.
Sense 3.0 is superior to Touchwiz but adw launchers help with that.
Stock battery lasted 5 hours on EVO on Charge it last 8 hours
Charge screen is Super AMOLED which is currently the height of android screen tech. EVO 3D has the 3D screen.
Charge has physical buttons. EVO has soft touch buttons
Charge has funny shape
Its all a matter of preference.
Try out both make sure call and data quality is acceptable in your home and places of work and play
Well just read radioshack is kicking T-Mobile out and bringing in Verizon to all stores. I see the end is near i don't understand why people choose the other carriers when T-Mobile gives you the Best bang for the buck handdown. I'm thinking it might be a goodtime to switch carriers before they leave us all hanging. I say that because i read engadget news everyday and there is always bad news about T-Mobile.

How will we be left hanging? Even with the buyout, AT&T will be forced to grandfather all of us and our existing contracts. If we are forced to change anything (plan, device, etc) it would be a violation of contract and we would have an out without penalty. Those of us without a contract have the potential to get screwed sooner. But if that happens, just leave since you don't have a contract anyways.

I just jumped ship from TMO. I was on flex pay with no contract with two lines. Sprint gave me $125 credit for each line just for porting my numbers to them. Then on top of that I said I worked at costco and got 23% off my monthly bill. Plus they will give me a free home airwave which is a signal booster/free wifi calling AP. and with the GV integration any call you make is considered mobile to mobile and doesnt deduct from your minutes(if not on unlimited plan)
Sprint's 4g coverage in my area is pretty strong as well.
so for $120(after the 23% rebate) I get 1500 anytime minutes, unlimited texting and 4g on both lines nights and weekends (nights start at 7) truly unlimited data, free mobile to mobile calling on any carrier plus the GV intergration which every call is like mobile to mobile and the free airwave for my house. I couldnt resist I just got the evo 3d but have 30 days and might return it if the GS2 comes out by then and if it's any good

I agree! I Never had any service problem whatsoever. Even if the buyout doesn't happen and T-mobile decided to close their doors, it would not happen for at least 2-3 years as they have binding agreements to provide service to millions of customers. Even that scenario is unlikely considering T-mobile stands to gain $6 billion and a percentage of atat spectrum in the event negotiations go south. There is also reason to doubt what some call ''the inevitable'' based on T-mobile's recent swarm of high end devices, price plan adjustments and advertising. T-mobile has never made as much noise throughout its lifetime in the U.S. as it has within the last 7 months.
Have fun with the dropped calls.

Who shops at Radio Shack? only old people looking for rare batteries for their cordless phone from 1994. This move doesn't affect T-Mobile in the slightest just shows that Radio Shack is struggling. T-Mobile by far has the best signal strength in my area. Sprint sucks you will get dropped calls several times a day. Not to mention you can't talk on the phone and surf the web at the same time....
T-mobile's been solid for me and i can honestly say I have had every major carrier available in the Chicago area in the past few years. Sprint is a close second but their 4G was spotty and while traveling it was almost at 3g speeds.
Were fine, were in contracts (most of us) and if AT&T takes over and tries to change it, itll be an easy way for us to get another new shiny phone from another carrier
AT&T does have the ****test service though, I had a 3GS for 6 months never had so many damn dropped calls. There was 2 city blocks by me I had to avoid when I was on the phone cause it was a dead zone lol while every other carrier had signal there fine
Back when I had my HD2, my tmobile connection was questionable. But since getting and HTC Sensation 4G I haven't dropped a single call yet. The Antenna Design in the Sensation is definitely above the rest. The only thing I don't like is the new data caps on high speed access. I am on 5 GB plan. I called tmobile to ask what do they mean by reduced data speed after I used up my quota and they basically said I would be on edge til the end of the month. Not very cool, but better than paying overages.
Well It's nice to have more than one spot to buy your phone local. Considering where i live best buy mobile don't carry T-Mobile now radioshack won't . I'm down to two places the mall where it's impossible to get a phone before they sell out or walmart. So to some radioshack ain't a big deal but too me it is, i got several phones from them and if it wasn't for them i wouldn't have got this sensation when it released. The mall sold out in a hour and so did walmart.

I don't buy phones in the store, I use Wirefly or letstalk and save the cash.
Sony Xperia X1i
HTC HD2
HTC Sensation 4G
I bought all of them off ebay with no contract.
I have never had any problems with bad phones from ebay.
These days sellers are pretty honest if there is a problem.
Sensations are going for about $400 each now on Ebay
Many of the phones on Ebay are New in Box too.
I still don't understand why people still think they need to purchase from a retail store. You are better off especially with the Tmobile merger coming up, to buy a phone outright, then get a month to month plan. That way if the network goes to ****, you can switch with no termination fees.

Radio Shack = Herpes
Radio hack has been around to long and its like a dam STD. Similar to Herpes from what I hear.

Here is a list of a few other similar companies;
JC Panties
Saer's
Big Slut's
Small 5 sports
Yack In Da Box - Yumbo Yack anyone?
and if you live here in california like I do - You can guess what class/race of person they attract.
I have to walk into Saer's and ask the associate - "Do you speak english?"
I have to say, after 8 years with VZW, I'm finally throwing in the towel and moving onto another network who actually respects their customers. With the lack of updates and feature support to their tiered data plans, it just doesn't seem logical from a consumers perspective to stay with a company that's hell bent on invading your privacy while offering little to nothing in return. If you're in the same boat, what network are you planning on joining and why?
I really wanted to go to t-mobile so I can cut my bill in half with them but they don't have lte where I live yet and their 4g does not penetrate my work area. I just preordered my gs4 with verizon and its the last phone I will have with them unless they give us our early upgrades back and also let us upgrade from our unlimited data lines. I've only had Verizon now for about 9 months, and I've been regretting getting it since about 3 months in when I realized that you can pretty much only use these phones on Verizon (I've seen threads where they use them on other carriers, but it looks really complicated). Not to mention I pay roughly $55/ month just for data alone, which is just 1 GB. I dont even want to get started on how stupid that tiered data is--I know it makes them money, but I also know it doesnt cost them nearly as much as what they charge for it. I will most likely cancel my contract as soon as I get some cash to get out of it. As far as 4G is concerned, its nice to have and all, but it seems to just blow through my whole 1 GB of data in no time flat. Not to mention I use maybe 50 minutes of talking/ month, and about the same text messages. I only got Verizon so I could have a fancy phone, and I got that, and now I'm seriously paying for it. If I could get this bastard to work on Straight Talk I would be set, but I'm pretty sure the easiest way is to buy a TMo or ATT variant (you know, unless someone has a tip they would like to share )
TL;DR
**** Verizon, and I'm totally jumping ship ASAP
Would like to change, but stuck with Verizon in Upstate NY. AT&T is EDGE speeds at best outside the cities. Most houses act like Faraday cages and since I am on call I need voice and data to work almost all the time. AT&T would constantly drop calls. Sprint isn't bad for voice, but high speed data is lacking in most of the boonies. T-mobile is like AT&T (but worse).
So yeah, I'm rocking a $230/mo family plan for 4 smartphones, a dumbphone, and a measly 4GB of data a month (that is with a 21% corp discount).
Woohoo!!!
There are lots of reasons to hate VZW, but there is one reason to love them: Network coverage. A few months ago I was in ruralish Virginia, and I had 4gLTE. Those towers don't pay for themselves...

Ummmm , I've never had a problem with Verizon and I can say that they most definitely do respect their customers . I have mostly positive things to say regarding my total experience with Verizon.
Well I was able to email the President of the Southwest Region of SoCal, got the network extender (cause my base has no coverage for any cell phone service) for free. And everywhere I go I at least got coverage. I've wanted to jump ship for quite sometime
Verizon = bad, others = WORSE!
I rate 'em like this, on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the best:
VZW = -2
T-Mo = -1.5 (slightly better CS but poor coverage)
AT&T = -6,593,865,432
Sprint = Will they be in business tomorrow?
NOTE, all carriers suck, nobody even rates a zero and I'm in a really good mood so I rated AT&T's "We don't care" CS and "Oops, we dropped your call" network much higher than they really deserve.
I'm sticking with VZW.
I have mostly positive experiences with Verizon and with Sprint but I had bad experiences with T-Mobile and AT&T. With t-mobile it was mainly bad cell coverage while AT&T it was customer service.
I pay 55$ a month. 2gb internet, unlimited calls to cellphones , 500 landline minutes (unlimited on weekends and weekday nights I think) unlimited texting, 4g is good here in Houston. I've been thinking when my contract is up, T-Mobile. Maybe back to cricket even. I just don't know anymore.

I have really been contemplating switching to T-Mobile. I'm in NYC and LTE in Manhattan during the middle of the day is no better than att/tmobile hspa. I rarely get over 10mbps with my galaxy s3. But the overall coverage is great and I really don't want to give that up. I hope that with metro pcs T-Mobile can expand their service.

Same here. I've been with Verizon for probably ten years and although their custom firmware settings on phones and fairly high prices grinds on me a bit where I live they're still the best game in town. Just renewed with them for two more years when I got this pair of i535s from Best Buy.
I hope every one here knows that if you have unlimited data with Verizon and you UPGRADE YOU CAN STILL KEEP YOUR UNLIMITED PLANS. THERE IS ALOT OF MISS INFORMATION ON THIS:banghead::banghead:. I've heard the only way to do that is to buy a phone at full retail price. Is there another way?

Yes ......call them and tell them after you upgrade you want your unlimited back .They will give it to you. But call before you upgrade so it will be in your file. This only can be done on the phone not in any store. When you upgrade just take the 2gb plan. Then when you get the phone call them back and tell them to put the unlimited back on. They do this for loyal customers. Don't let them tell you they don't cause they do. The person you speak to might not know so ask for another rep.Don't upgrade until it is in you file saying they will give it back to you after wards. This works I know for a fact. This is just not advertised. I only learned because a rep was nice enuff to tell me.....So spread the word...Its called The Loyal Customer worry free exchange program......THIS DOES WORK .I UPGRADED MINE AND MY WIFES.PLUS MY BOSS AND BARBER( I get free hair cuts now lol):thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

You will miss Verizon sorely once you do any traveling. No other network comes close to the coverage they have.
I can't jump ship from Verizon either because the carrier I want to go to (T-Mobile) has the same crappy service from when I was with them 2 years ago. If LTE was to come to my area on T-Mobile I would definitely test it and if its worth it i'll jump ship from Verizon. But Verizon has to be the best service I get in my area & i'm still grandfathered in on my Unlimited Data, been getting phones through Swappa & Craigslist for the time being.
To me, it's similar to Comcast - they have high prices, but the best service too. I always have a great signal, blazing fast internet... hard to complain about the price to me. I'm coming from Sprint, who's price was barely cheaper, and the service was terrible.

Well, the title says it all. I filed for divorce with Verizon and hooked up with T-Mobile. I feel like Verizon put the screws to me today and I didn't feel comfortable sending them another $176 per month for my bill. I was able to switch my Nexus 6 over to T-Mobile for $95 per month with unlimited talk, text and 4G LTE Data. I did it all on their website and saved the $20 sim card started kit fee by using the FREESIM promo code at checkout. The only money that came out of my pocket today was the $11.99 for overnight shipping g of my new sim card. To make a long story short about why I left Verizon, they double charged me for the month of May and I didn't know about it until today. I have had my bill on auto pay so I don't have to worry about it. One less thing to remember. Well, they double charged me and my banks fraud department stopped payment on the 2nd charge because it was two charges for the exact same amount. Verizon considered the stopped payment as insufficient funds and suspended my account this afternoon. Even though my next payment wasn't due until July 14th, Verizon told me I would have to make a $216 deposit to reinstate my service. Nope, sorry, I don't think so. I'm not doing that. I didn't double charge myself. I didn't authorize a second payment. I didn't create this issue. After talking to 7 people with Verizon Customer Care and Financial Services I was able to get nowhere fast. I decided to take my Nexus and my money somewhere else. T-Mobile, here we come.

Well the only thing I like about Verizon is their phones are unlocked
Good for you!
I did the same last month after 8 years with them.
So far t mobile has been great.
I'm glad I'm taking my Nexus 6 with me. All I need is the sim card to show up on my doorstep.

I haven't used T-Mobile since 2001. I was with them for 5 years. It was terrible in the Dallas area back then. Coverage was non-existent where I lived. Things are much better now.

Still on Verizon here. $100 unlimited data and text, and 1400 minutes of talk. T mobile and sprint beat that on price but not on service. Only have a few dead zones here and there. There is a little tiny town completely out in the middle of no where with 2000 people I sometimes go to and 4g LTE is rock solid there.
I hated to do it. I had only been with Verizon for a year. I own a trucking company and I am on the road all the time. Verizon was the only carrier I had LTE data with while driving from Elkhart, Indiana to Liberty Lake, Washington. I have to have service in case of equipment failure or emergencies. I also do most of my business on the interweb with load boards and brokers. Most of my loads are emailed to me and I do all my paperwork online too. I had been with Sprint from the time I left T-Mobile in 2001 but Sprints voice and data coverage is terrible on the main routes I take from the east coast to the west coast. There is a stretch of Interstate 80 from Grand Island, NE all the way to the Utah border where I had no data coverage except for Cheyenne, WY. I couldn't even make a call. If something ever went wrong I would have been in a tight spot. I still have the Sprint line to this day because of the unlimited data plan. I have two devices on the account and it only cost me $118 per month. As long as Sprint let's me have unlimited data at that price I will keep it.

Sprint is improving all over the country...so hopefully you can ditch Verizon soon and move all of your back to Sprint soon.
Verizon and I are finished. My account is no longer active. I have a T-Mobile SIM card on the way. I paid the extra $12.98 to have it shipped overnight. Hopefully I placed the order early enough in the day for it to ship and arrive here tomorrow or Saturday morning. I need a phone to operate my business but I was so pissed off today at verizon that I will take a few days off from being on the road to wait for my new SIM card. Like I said earlier, I will never get rid of my Sprint account as long as I have data at the price I pay for it. When I signed up with Verizon in June 2015, Sprints coverage just wasn't enough for me. There were way too many miles of interstate that were dead zones. No voice service, text or data is a no-no for me on the road. My devices have to work at all times.
T-mobile coverage is terrible if you have to travel at all. Unfortunately nothing touches Verizon for network. That and my unlimited plan keep me as a customer
I divorced Verizon November of last year and I'm still 100% happy about it. Not only did it cut my bill by 2/3 everywhere I travel I've never had an issue with my phone. With all the perks T-Mobile offers like data stash I've managed to save up 16GB of data in the short time I've been with T-Mobile. VZW will send me "offers" to come back every month but they cant offer a plan like T-Mobile can.
I have already received 3 calls from Verizon asking why I left and what it would take to get me back. I told them there was nothing that could be done. They did something that I was unhappy with and that was all it took for me to start spending my money with another carrier. I signed up for unlimited data with 14GB hotspot for $95.00 per month. My Verizon bill was $176.00 per month for 15GB data. T-Mobile will be fine for me now that their coverage areas have expanded greatly in my area and the areas of the country that I travel in. I am looking forward to my new service with T-Mobile. I felt wronged by Verizon and I won't put up with it.
Divorced them a few months back. Went for Fi. Tmo and Sprint sucked, and I had to reconcile. There's no point in having service if my phone won't ring when my kids call me
Area is Northern NJ / NYC.
Good job... The best part is that they have been receiving some really bad press lately, rightly so. They've continue to screw their most loyal customers with absolutely no remorse. I left them after being there for 12 years for Straight Talk. See ya.

Earlier today I received an email from T-Mobile saying that my account had been activated and showed the updated shipping date from my tracking number. Then it showed my phone number. Well, it's not the phone number I gave T-Mobile to transfer for my new service. From what it looks like Verizon didn't let T-Mobile have my current number so I could take it with me. Why did T-Mobile have to give me a new number? Was it really because Verizon wouldn't let me keep it or T-Mobile take it? Do you guys know if there are rules or regulations to be able to transfer your current number to a new carrier? I'm disappointed about it to. I just got that number a year ago this month when I switched to Verizon. I had the same number for 12 years until I switched to Verizon. I hate to start fresh with a new number. I am a business owner and it is a pain to give everyone a new number. There are businesses that may have my current number but I don't have theirs in return. I hate to lose customers just because they won't have my new number. Can anyone provide any insight or success stories about getting a number switched over?

Lies:lie, invention, falsehood..
I guess everybody has their opinions. My coworkers with T-mobile have little to no service at work, where I use my phone the most. I have never dropped signs at work and actually have quite strong signal there. My Verizon plan is 195 for 3 lines of unlimited data, minutes, and text. I have a grandfathered alltel plan. I guess if I was starting over I would have to look at all available options, but as long as I can keep my current plan (which has been years and years now) I will
