HOW TO ROOT IT :
flash Coolpad-F1-root (wcdma).zip with stock recovery
RECOVERY (i prefer cwm)
1.put the recovery.img in root of sdcard
2.download mobileungle tools open it hit recovery update and flash the first recovery

I use the lewa OS v5. You know how is possible to activate the unlocking with the volume buttons?
I have not try gravitybox yet. I m not sure if is working in Lewa. You know one other way?
In order to unlock with volumes button you need custom kernel . But we can't have. If you want these. Is a lot of apps that help you unlock with sensor of top of your device

But in MIUI this is possible, exist like option somewhere at the settings.
On the other hand, the apps which they work with the sensor, they will consume battery.
I will try with gravitybox.
I don't know about miui . I never use I had try with gravityBOX but didn't work

In order to put your phone in recovery mode you must press power + volume down then choose recovery mode

The instructions were very clear and helped me to get back to stock 020 easily using Windows 7 SP1 64 bit.

I found this phone today on several webshops. Also there are many custom roms. So it is an interesting phone. I want to know how is GPS? How many seconds before have strong GPS signal? How is battery with moderate use? How is build quality and sound?

The gps is caught fast... But better you can use it on your car!
I record a track and it was almost on the road when you see it on google earth.
I think on (my) moderate use you can have 2 days.

I use meo drive from play and tomtom and worked fine also used my tracks from goolge and worked fine.
meo drive is a portuguese free car navigation from market (in portugal the portuguese map is free)

Hi, I've recently bought HCL ME Y2 tablet. I rooted the device and the device was normal after the root. But after some days, I found my device struck with the Logo screen (ME). But I still can access the recovery mode by pressing '+' key while pressing the power button. I wiped the cache, data/factory reset. But still I'm not able to boot into my device.
I tried googling to get the update.zip image for my Tab, but no luck.
So, I decided to install Modded version into my Tab. But as I'm new to the these tasks, I require your (expert's) opinion on choosing the right mod for my device. I'd like to install Jellybean on my device.

As far as I know nobody has ported a rom to y2 so I don't really know how you will install a moded rom?? for your problem go to the service center. By the way has anyone installed google play???

I've installed Play after rooting my device. It was working fine but after installing some more apps, my Tab suddenly switched OFF and was not able to boot in again.

Thanks Rijo for letting me know that HCL provides the ROM officially. Unfortunately I'm not able to enter my recovery mode.
I've posted the problem http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2407156 in this thread.
I've tried everything else. Tab does not get detected by the HCL's software to download/upgrade the ROM.

Extract the Y2_image.rar file on you PC by winrar. You will get four files named
1) factory_update_param.aml , 2) u-boot-aml-ucl.bin , 3) uImage_recovery ,4) update.zip

Now format a sdcrad (Minimum of 1 GB) to FAT32 and place all the 4 extracted files in it. DON'T CHANGE ANY FILE NAME. DON'T EXTRACT update.zip.
Then press Volume(-) key and power key. You device will take some time while upgradation process. After that your Y2 will reboot automatically. And your problem will be solved...
PS- Every Y2 tab have this boot freeze bug. This is the only way to fix it. The problem may occur again, in that case follow these instruction again.
IF YOU WANT PLAY STORE AND OTHER GAPPS IN YOUR Y2, THEN NOTIFY ME, I'LL UPLOAD A ROM WITH GOOGLE APPS.

HCL has the worst after sale service i've ever seen. They don't even know how to talk to customers. Their products are worse than the cheap chinese stuffs. Never ever buy anything from HCL.

1) You can only see signal of one sim (but both sim cards will be working and both will be active) was not an matter for me
Pros;
1) completely customize able Lock screen+1000's of themes
2) Deodexed
3) kernel tweaks
4) Build.prop tweaks
5) Extended battery life
6) completely change your UI to iPhone with the awesome theme posted down... don't forget to check it out because its an high class theme(credits for the french guys who developed it and posted there)

Boot into twrp recovery
Take backup of your stock rom(recommended but not necessary)

Eagerly waiting for the fix.. as when I roam to an area where there is no signal it is difficult to know whether there is a SIM signal or not.. Sorry but this fix will make MIUI the greatest ROM... all the best

I don't have any issue with Vibrating (I am on official FW). Also, could not find a case so far..
i had asked the question for guys using the miui rom....anyways i heard that s3 mini case fits this handset with some cuttings...

Use custom KK recovery from here.
I prefer [CWM Advanced Edition] PhilZ Touch 6.57.9 - cwm 6.0.5.1.
(Internal sd-card refereed as sdcard00, external as sdcard01)
Download rom zip file.
Put into sd card.
Flash the desired recovery.
Boot into recovery.
BACKUP CURRENT ROM
Wipe for flash of new rom.
Or wipe data/system/delvic cache/cache.
Select Install From SD (Internal or External)
Select the zip file and Select YES
Reboot.
THINGS TOBE NOTED
First boot takes time 3-5 mins so be patient.
After the boot logo (boot logo may look as if its stucked)
blank screen is seen its not hanged.
wait until it boots.
Phone reboot once inbetween so dont worry.
If recovery ask to disable recovery flash just select NO otherwise init.d wont work.

Camera is best part... But looks like eats up more battery. A longer run on this may give a clear picture.

No matter what, don't stop churning out ROMs for our device. I'm trying each and every ROM you are cooking up too. I guess lot of people use the ROMs but are time bound send in reviews. I'm sure everyone here truly appreciates the good work you do :highfive:

Actually, avi u r much faster, keep some time lag between two ports, so that end users may get sufficient time to enjoy the new port. Then u will get proper reviews.

Testing rom since last night, some issues I've found are:-
1. Rom is improperly rooted, superuser is not working
2. No space is available in /system
3. Poor network coverage reception
4. Charging battery icon in switched off mode is distorted.
5. No restart option in power menu.

install twrp Recovery and Root umi max,
Instructions-
twrp Installation-
Download sp tools, twrp, supersu, vcom Driver from Below
[*]install correct vcom Driver on PC
[*]Run Sp Flash Tools, Load MT67XXScatter from Recovery Folder
[*]Uncheck Everything and then Check Recovery only
[*]under Recovery Section Load Downloaded twrp 3.0xx.img
[*]then click on Download
[*]as soon as connect your Switched of phone to your pc via usb and wait for success, after complete, follow Below Instructions To Root,

On many other sites there are many people who are looking for custom roms for UMI MAX, and not everyone writes about it. When it comes to UMI MAX it only saves it custom rom, the phone is jammed, does not work many functions, the battery has 4000mAh and can not withstand 1 day.I do not know how much time takes porting roms, but I would be very grateful if you did it.

Hi, I installed on my UMI MAX port Eragorn 4.8 available on UMI SUPER. I just changed boot.img from the official rom. From what I can see, everything works great except a fingerprint reader.

I took the original boot.img file from the official UMI MAX Android 6 rom and changed it to that which was in Eragorn 4.8 rom for UMI SUPER by silent27.
To install this rom your phone must work on Android 6.

Hello I am not all that experienced and couldn't find an answer anywhere else when downloading the android 6 rom it comes as a rare file which isn't flashable and when extracting it and compressing it to a zip I get an error so how exactly do I make this flashable

Hello, i have the same problem with my phone but i also can't flash the twrp so i can't root the phone, i tried multiple official rom but when i flash the recovery with spft i get two result: 1) when i push the power button+volume up i get the error "no command" 2) when i push the power button+volume up the phone seems to skip the recovery and after a while it reboot in the normal system.. please someone tell me how to solve it, is it a problem of my IMIE? TWRP RECOVERY ( Vernee X Pro 6/128 Gb )
* turn off the phone
* download TWRP 3.2.1.0 and unzip on the PC
* download SP Tools and unzip on the PC
* run SP Tools ( admin grant )
* choose SCATTER file from TWRP folder ( check ONLY BOOT & RECOVERY flags )
* press DOWNLOAD
* insert USB cable in the phone
* wait 20 seconds and a green popup will appear
* disconnect the phone
* turn it on
DOWNLOAD TWRP RECOVERY

SUPER SU ( ROOT ) :
* download SuperSU 2.82 SR5 from SuperSu Official Site
* copy in Internal Memory / Micro SD of the Vernee Phone

* reboot into system ( u'll see 1 time reboot loop, it's normal )

First of all, TWRP Recovery is working fine?
It did not reboot twice itself so I rebooted it manually and perfect. I HAVE ROOT ON VERNEE X PRO WOW

Speaker volume is way low on the handset as well as on my Bluetooth headsets than it was before. The 3G/4G is way slow. And when I call someone I can hear them but they can hear themselves swell! This phone is turning into a crap one. We need a rom a good rom please people.

Disagree with you in almost all of the issues, because I don't have any headset to compare. My LTE is as good as it was on my old phone 35/9Mbps (LG G3 and LineageOS). Echo tested just now and nothing. Do you have latest ROM? But yes, custom rom would be great, especially because camera app is not that good and not only that. I've heard that google camera 3.2.045 for 1+5 have much better quality, but I can't make it run. If someone has some instruction I'd be really thankful.

I've tried several different versions of Google Camera app, new or old versions. NO WAY. No one is working on the X Pro.

Is it really a new firmware? It looks to me like the same firmware from 2018-01-17 has been re-uploaded on 2018-03-21. At least for the Vernee X 6GB+128GB, as I checked on the vernee website a few minutes ago. Or how do you get hold of the new firmware?

this tings is to cool notot get a rom fo it.any rom will do to get rid of eht lack fo whathe vernee team has given to hte device.they sell devices and move on to hte next one.this is not how ot do business. i will patiently wait ot se any custom roms on this device to test out.
