i will try to help people who has coolpad f1 8297w i will try to give a solution about root roms and somes files
i am not respond for any damage in your phones
HOW TO ROOT IT :
flash Coolpad-F1-root (wcdma).zip with stock recovery
RECOVERY (i prefer cwm)
1.put the recovery.img in root of sdcard
2.download mobileungle tools open it hit recovery update and flash the first recovery

i couldnt install that one http://www.needrom.com/mobile/coolpad-f1-8297w-aosp/ i had bootloop problems
install the rom that you want from custom recovery. do what the dev of the rom say

One other thing.
I use the lewa OS v5. You know how is possible to activate the unlocking with the volume buttons?
I have not try gravitybox yet. I m not sure if is working in Lewa. You know one other way?

In order to unlock with volumes button you need custom kernel . But we can't have. If you want these. Is a lot of apps that help you unlock with sensor of top of your device

But in MIUI this is possible, exist like option somewhere at the settings.
On the other hand, the apps which they work with the sensor, they will consume battery.
I will try with gravitybox.

I don't know about miui . I never use I had try with gravityBOX but didn't work

In order to put your phone in recovery mode you must press power + volume down then choose recovery mode

The instructions were very clear and helped me to get back to stock 020 easily using Windows 7 SP1 64 bit.

How is Gps and battery on this Phone?
I found this phone today on several webshops. Also there are many custom roms. So it is an interesting phone. I want to know how is GPS? How many seconds before have strong GPS signal? How is battery with moderate use? How is build quality and sound?

The gps is caught fast... But better you can use it on your car!
I record a track and it was almost on the road when you see it on google earth.
I think on (my) moderate use you can have 2 days.
For chinese phone... Is well build

I use meo drive from play and tomtom and worked fine also used my tracks from goolge and worked fine.

On many other sites there are many people who are looking for custom roms for UMI MAX, and not everyone writes about it. When it comes to UMI MAX it only saves it custom rom, the phone is jammed, does not work many functions, the battery has 4000mAh and can not withstand 1 day.I do not know how much time takes porting roms, but I would be very grateful if you did it.

Hi, I installed on my UMI MAX port Eragorn 4.8 available on UMI SUPER. I just changed boot.img from the official rom. From what I can see, everything works great except a fingerprint reader.

I took the original boot.img file from the official UMI MAX Android 6 rom and changed it to that which was in Eragorn 4.8 rom for UMI SUPER by silent27.
To install this rom your phone must work on Android 6.

Hello I am not all that experienced and couldn't find an answer anywhere else when downloading the android 6 rom it comes as a rare file which isn't flashable and when extracting it and compressing it to a zip I get an error so how exactly do I make this flashable

Hello, i have the same problem with my phone but i also can't flash the twrp so i can't root the phone, i tried multiple official rom but when i flash the recovery with spft i get two result: 1) when i push the power button+volume up i get the error "no command" 2) when i push the power button+volume up the phone seems to skip the recovery and after a while it reboot in the normal system.. please someone tell me how to solve it, is it a problem of my IMIE? only issue for me is wifi doesn't see my hide network,i registered it but it stays on saved networks page. but it connects perfectly to normal networks
EDIT:File managers do not work properly or not open at all (ex. Xplore)
EDIT 2: How to grant root for adb? There is no option for that in Dev settings

When I said 'now' I wanted to say 'later'. During my holidays, I don't know how, I lost my 16 GB SD . I bought a new one on eBay and it may took a month. I will find another sd card tomorrow and see if I cand test it

Now it's time for feedback. (I'll write what's work and what's not, if it's written on first post, I will still write it)
- Buggy camera (can't save video recording and no 1080p recording, I use PMSCameraNextMod and stock camera)
- Bluetooth is buggy but work, especially Settings>Bluetooth (if opened, Bluetooth keep turning on and off) you need a Bluetooth device that request to pair.
I test it with my bluetooth headphone and it's connected and working.
- a bit sluggish on transition and animation
- Files doesn't show internal SD, any downloaded file like apk needs to be "copy to" to external SD with Files in order to open it from Files My mistake, sorry. Thanks @JuniorCaesar
- longer boot time compared to los 14.1. (I counted the boot animation circle, in 14.1 it's around 7-8 round. In 15 it took more than 10 round before lineage os logo show up)
- everything else is working or not used by me.
I was going to test nfc, but it seems that there is no other people's phone being unused.

Bad news - they are broken... All of them :'(
But it's bootable and most of the thing works (apart from BT etc.).
I can even login to Snapchat and take picture but only with front camera - cannot switch to back one.
Also - is there something added regarding "low ram" or something like that? Because Chrome browser switched itself to that simple tabs switch (without "3D tabs") and without animations...
But overall, it's super-fast for a ROM in alpha stage

its not fully compatible like redmi note 7 can you please check camera support level 3, so that i can move to this rom
and will you able to make a video how to install

automatic brightness is very slow, how can you tell?

new version got youtube-vanced installed from the beginning.
tried to switch to root version (Magisk) of yt-vanced, but this doesnt seem to work, since it stays on telling me about installing micro-g.
everything else I tried seems to work fine, great battery life... I can absolutely recommend it

I don't think so....
but maybe ist my fault, cause since it's an apk file I cannot flash it with twrp.
first attempt I placed apk in /system_root/system/app, but I think that is worng destination.
I don't see /system in twrp even if I try to mount it, but I'm not sure if I do it correctly...I just checked system in Mount option but didn't hit "disable MTP"
will now try to copy the file with mixplorer to /system/app, cuase i can see it there...

Performance is pretty good...no lags or delays...

I installed your rom in my galaxy j120g every thing works just fine and its a nice rom only problem is that there is no sound and also youtube video does not play. Please fix this problem as soon as possible as i wanted to use this rom as my daily driver. Thank You.

Yessss, Finally LineageOS for this phone.

I tried this rom and I really like it. I installed this rom on SM-J120F. It is very smooth and fast, but it needs to be more stable. for example, mega app crashes and can't download things. Also there are also some bugs not mentioned in the list. flashlight does not work, and MTP is weird. It said that usb configuration was set to MTP even tho it was actually set to charging and that really confused me. I can't wait these bugs to be fixed (especially sound). When they will be fixed, I will use this rom as daily driver. Thank you for making rom for this phone as there is practically no roms.

This rom is very impressive. I want to try it but I also want to wait for some bugs (sound, video, etc.) to be fixed so I can't wait to try this I hope this ROM will be finished soon

Looks good, gonna wait for more stable releases before installing. Also when you say "Boot system once before installing Gapps", do i have to boot the rom once, then shut down and install Gapps ? I just dont wanna mess that up

Also works on J120M (Exynos), but to be able to install it I had to remove the model check in the updater-script file.

What? I build this and tested it on a J120W. Strange that it's not flashing for you. What you can do is edit the updater script and remove the two first lines from it then it will flash.

hey i am from india and my Jio 4G sim is not working after installing this custom rom i.e. it only works in volte based devices but the device is volte enabled so can u plzz solve this problem.My device is J120G

got past that part yay, it is saying "can not find 'meta-inf/com/google/android/update-binary'"
which is weird cause it is there oh well tinkering i shall go

thanks for your hard work on this rom. it is still in alpha version so, if you need a tester for future version i will like to help you. i can try new version and give feedback as a way to help you so, if you are interested reply me i will give my email after it. i have a samsung j1 4g 2016 sm-120g indian version. my main aim behin helping you is to make camera work in this rom thanks.

Hi, i have a good news i have updated your rom and now audio and video have full support and rom is more stable. but my pc is not powerfull so i can not make changes to the boot image so camera is the only broken thing so help me find camera driver for samsung j1 4g
