TF700 just vibrates on boot - does not stop - Asus Transformer TF700

I have scanned the internet for a solution for this and have come across a few. But to no avail.
My TF700 starts the boot process with the traditional single vibrate and then after a second vibrates endlessly. The screen does not come up at all, everything is black.
To give you a background, I have rooted my device. I was on CM's JB ROM for a while and then I formatted and went to the stock 4.2.1 ROM from ASUS (WW_epad-user-10.6.1.14.10). I used the tablet effectively, but then it ran out of juice. So I recharged it completely and now I am stuck with this problem.
From shut down mode:
I press the power button and there is continuous vibration.
I press power + vol dn and there is continuous vibration.
I press power + vol up and it vibrates once and then nothing.
From continuous vibration mode:
I press power and it restarts the same issue with continuous vibration.
I press power + power dn and it restarts the same issue with continuous vibration
I press power + vol up and the vibration stops, the tablet vibrates once and then nothing (i am using this to stop the vibration before the noise drives me crazy).
One thing I haven't tried is to see if the screen is the issue and I'll connect the tablet with an HDMI and see. However, the vibration is still an issue.
The device is not detected by the computer so I cannot use that to reboot in bootloader. In normal sense, it does not boot into bootloader so I can format the device. It just sits there vibrating and I have no way of getting into it.
Please HELP!

[Q] Can't get my tablet to boot into Recovery/Download mode

Hello,
Hopefully I'm in the right place for posting something that seems to be this simple. The start of my problem is that the tablet will not stay off. When I try to shut it down, it shuts down normally, but then it starts to display the battery icons like it is plugged in and charging, but it is not connected to power. I can leave it in sleep mode and the charging thing will not happen, but turning it off displays the power charging screen and it further drains the battery. I figured something is screwy with the system so I would try to reset it to factory defaults. Now I have the other problem...
So I am trying to restore to factory defaults and I know to do this I have to start from off and hold down the up volume and the power button for a few seconds and as soon as the tablet starts to turn on release the power button but not the volume up button, and it should get me into the recovery/download screen. Unfortunately that is not working. I hold down the Volume up button and briefly hold the power button (3 or 4 sec or so) and I see the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 startup screen and let go of the power button (still holding the Volume up button). Next I see the spinning blue circle around the Samsung logo and the tablet reboots. I can release the volume up button at any time after that and the results are the same, it just reboots. It's like it isn't seeing the volume button.
I have tried using the volume Down button instead of the volume up button but that too is just like I am not pushing any volume button at all. Once the tablet is on, the volume buttons function normally, so the switches are good.
Since I got this tablet used could someone have loaded something onto it preventing it from being rebooted into recovery/download mode? Maybe some custom firmware or something. I'm at a loss as to where to go next. Since I can't boot into recovery/download mode I can't get into Odin.
Any help is appreciated.
Rick
Hi. The tablet isn't rooted, is it? Can you try to boot it into download or recovery with the "quick boot" app from google play?
I don't think it is rooted, but I can't tell for sure since I can't connect to the Google play store. I tried downloading using the web browser, but my battery dies before if finished. I'll try swapping batteries and see what I can figure out. Thanks for the idea.
Rick
No, the device is not rooted. it also is not charging and I had a heck of a time getting it to connect to the play store. I think I need to try and reload the OS, but without being able to get into ODIN, or reboot into recovery, I'm not sure how to proceed. any suggestions?
When the battery thing appears do the power- volume up thing and hold it until the gtab logo appears.
I've tried that, and it just boots up as if I wasn't holding the volume button at all. Once the tab is booted, the volume buttons work as normal. I've even tried putting a different power/Volume/IR unit in (from a working tab with a broken screen) and that didn't make a difference.
I left the tablet all weekend and it just keeps showing that it is charging when not plugged in. By Monday the battery was 100% dead. It won't even charge. If I replace the battery with a battery from a working unit I'b back in the same place where I can't get it to boot to Recovery/download.

[q] [help] hard bricked (?)

Here's my nexus condition:
It won't turn on, i've tried every possible method; hold power button (10s), hold volume down + power,
volume up + power, volume down + up + power, It still won't turn on.
I connected it to charger and it entered google logo but then off and on for several times. I sometime managed to get
into bootloader mode, but then again it off again.
the interesting part is when i hit my nexus to my palm, it sometimes turn on and enters google logo but then bang,
it's back off again.
Could someone please help me get out of this misery?

Sounds like a problem with the power button.
It should be a problem of power button cause if its has gone inside.. it will always keep shutting your phone

Black Screen and Not Powering On

Hi guys,
TLDR; Phone won't turn on, notification light flashes red once on power up (sometimes), black screen all the time. :crying:
So my brother has asked me to try and fix his Nexus 5 as he isn't tech savvy at all.
So the problem he is having started when he tried powering the phone on and it started to boot up and then started resetting iteself.
It now will not power on at all and doesn't seem to be on at all.
When holding the power button, it will sometimes flash the notification light (at the bottom) red for a second or two. No other response from the phone.
I've tried holding the power button for up to 5 minutes with nothing. I've tried holding the V+ key with the power button for a few seconds up to a few minutes then tried pressing the buttons expected to get to a reset menu with no indication of anything.
I'm kind of lost and was wondering if anyone has had these issues before and know what is the best issue to try and repair?
Thanks
It could be a faulty power button which is a common issue with the Nexus 5.
Remove the logic board, clean around the power button with isopropyl alcohol, dry it, quickly press and release the power button using more pressure than normal, re-install, and try to boot.
You could also try this: hold volume + button and connect the phone to a computer using a USB cable.
Thanks audit13, I'll give it a shot and shout back if it works

Honor 8 boot loop - no fastboot no erecovery no dload - is it dead?

I think my phone has gone forever, but I'd like to check here if someone can save it.
I've been using this phone for 3 years, no changes besides OTA updates. Suddenly, screen froze and I held POWER button until it turned off. Then it rebooted and showed honor powered by android in blue background. It shows only that screen for a minute or so and then reboot again. If I hold POWER button, it'll reboot again (it won't turn off). The only combination of keys that produces different result is combo of VOL UP + VOL DOWN + POWER, which will turn screen black, then vibrate and then turn off (if I release keys before it vibrates, it'll start over).
I tried to put dload\UPDATE.APP in sdcard and nothing happened. I also tried all combinations described in a post I found in modaco forum (www[dot]modaco[dot]com/forums/topic/377629-honor-8-button-combinations-clarified/) and I don't get any other result besides what I described before.
Is there any way to fix it??
Did you try to press power and vol- ? When it boot, release power and keep your finger on vol- while connecting to a computer using USB. Normally, you should access to fastboot
EDIT: Oh sorry, in hurry I have not pay attention to the website you quote :'(

Captiva Pad 10 3G Plus (tablet) stuck on boot-loop

Hello xda community,
I tried to install TWRP on a Captiva Pad 10 3G Plus. The installation failed, so I'm now stuck at a boot loop. As soon as the tablet is connected to a power source, it keeps restarting. I can only see the Android logo and after that the tablet turns black and the Android screen is shown again. This keeps going until the battery is empty.
All the phisical buttons seem to have no functions because the power button and the reset button can't turn the tablet off and pressing power together with volume (-) won't start the recovery mode.
Their support isnt very helpful, they only told me that power and volume - would normally start the recovery mode. Nevertheless I tried pressing power and volume (+) and power together with both volume buttons. But this didn't start the recovery mode as well.
I also tried to connect the tablet to my pc, but it disconnects too fast to use ASB.
Has anyone an idea what I can do to fix this?
