Tried of the stock Sony Boot animation?
Ever wanted to show your buddies what your Z1 is capable of ? OR just a show-off before your phone gets boot up?
If so, this boot animation is for you..Tease your buddies in Sony's own way.
Tired of Sony's stock unicolour(??) stock 4.4.2 boot animation, I created this one from Sony's Demo Video. 854 frames!! compressed to about 24 Mb boot animation, this is nothing like you have seen before, with very low quality loss from original frames, and frame rate matched to get a fastest boot time with out loosing parts of the video ( checked with my deodexed stock rom with about 135 apps installed), this one is just like a video show-off of your dear Z1, just before it even gets bootup.

THE ABOVE GIF IS CREATED FROM THE ORIGINAL VIDEO, AND OF-COURSE SOME FRAMES LIKE "TRY ME" ARE OMITTED FROM THE BOOT ANIMATION, ALSO, IN ORDER TO CUT OUT THE FILE SIZE, THE PREVIEW GIF IS COMPOSED IN LOW QUALITY AND LOW FRAME RATE ,BUT THE ORIGINAL BOOT ANIMATION IS HD QUALITY.
I have spend a lot of hours to grab frames (using VLC and command line) converting the frames to correct frame size and file size (using Able batch converter and XnShell) editing configuration file (using notepad ++) and then creating boot animation (using boot animation factory and winrar) and then checking various combinations using my c6903 ( rebooted more than 20 times including few boot loops and stuck in boot animation), this boot animation is a perfect combination of speed ,quality and style.
DOWNLOAD
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/65718497/bootanimation_c69xx%20demo.zip
DOWNLOAD THE FILE AND RENAME IT AS " bootanimation.zip " and copy it to " system/media/ " replacing the current one you having there. permission is 755.
So guys,if you like this one, feel free to click my thanks button
Can you post a preview of the bootanimation, if not a video of the whole animation? Sounds tempting.

Is there some special reasons why you used 755 instead of stock, 644 permissions?

I've searched whole thread, but I can't find this perfect boot animation I only see a ugly boot animation made in paint.

no problems with 755 permissions, nor the systems default one with 644, i just have it on 755, and it works. thats why i said 755. since this i not a critical system segment unlike drivers or lib files this just use basic permissions.

I think you should give permission to rwxr-xr-x.. Because there is a replaceable file on /system/bin, that same as /bin file on this flashable zip..
One more thing, why do i get this extreme case?

The Z1 is 1080p (1920x1080), correct? I use this on my Nexus 5 (also 1080p) and it fits perfectly. Just download the file he linked to in his post here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=48528841&postcount=9 and copy it to /system/media and change permissions to rw-r--r-- and it should fit perfectly. It should work fine with the Z1 because that's where it's taken from originally.

what i found out was the in order for the 1080x1920 resolution to play the JB bootanimation correctly, the dimension of the jpg has to be size to
540 x 960, else it will become empty screen or in smaller screen.

(it's good now but it'll be even better)
To do:
Slow down animation (just a bit)
Make it "smoother"
Add few more informations
Add animation instead od "XPERIA HONAMI" sign.
You want to see something else...?
Let me know and I'll try...
Just don't ask for other devices, sorry but just don't have time for that now and I forgot to save files in .psd so I can't just correct it

I ended up in a boot loop and the LED is blinking red while booting. It's in the "XPERIA Honami" part. (reflashing the old bootanimation works)

That's not bootanimation related.
If anything went wrong with animation you would just see black screen and system will boot without animation.
As I said already - few times - I will never release app/MOD/animation/anything I didn't test.

Oh okay sorry for wrong suggestion then
For me it`s working very well
I don`t know what could be wrong and cause a bootloop.

Sorry mate - that wasn't for you, I just accidently quote your post.
Any flashable ZIP could cause problems if it's not built well but this one is 100% O.K, I use it in all my bootanimations and I tested those two before I released them and again today...
So if it's working for you and me - it must work for all...
It'll work for all 1080x1920 devices if they store bootanimation in system/media.
Although can't see a point to use it on other devices - 'cause it's Z1 customized
No need for clearing cache, just flash and restart

When I find some time I'll redraw all png's in bootanimation and save them in psd format (PhotoShop format).
Will add original fonts for editing so anyone could make his/her iwn bootanimation for his/her device

It`s a really, really good job what you do!
Thank you for that
So guys and girls of the forum I finally figured out how to change the lock and unlock sounds and possibly any system sound of our rooted devices I'm using car lock and unlock sounds like I've used on my Motorola Atrix 4g when I was on AT&T with cyanogen mod if anyone would like to know how post here and I'll post a tutorial. I will play around with more sounds but for now the ones I have are entertaining.

First off your phone is rooted and do you use fx explorer or any file explorer of that nature that also has read_write capabilities? I'm going to have to make screenshots real quick.

First - side by side of fx explorer which is why I love this file explorer app shows system root for your rooted device the picture above shows where you can find the lock and unlock sounds when you lock and unlock your device.
Under system(root)_media_audio_ui
Second - Google any type of lock unlock sound. I used car lock and unlock sounds download your sounds and they'll be in the downloads folder.
Third - open your file explore and make sure the file explorer app you have has read_write capabilities as it's necessary to rewrite the system sounds, but you shouldn't need to it works for me that I didn't I'll explain that later if requested want to do simple tutorial first.
Fourth - if your file explorer has split view it'll be allot easier for you to do. Fx explorer is great for that. So now that you have your sounds downloaded and in the downloads folder as pictured below
(Keep in mind I had renamed my sounds already.)
If you'd like to rename your system lock and unlock sounds by adding .bak after .ogg (this is where rewrite permissions come in) you can do that but doesn't need to be done as per you. Go ahead and rewrite the name with .bak after .ogg. (deleting .bak will restore old sound) After you completed that go ahead and move the renamed sounds from the system audio ui folder to the downloads folder I used this method (again needs rewrite permissions to move system sounds out of the system folder)
Fifth - take your new sounds that have been downloaded and then move both to the system audio ui folder. Then find them in the ui audio folder and rewrite the name as the original you moved to your downloads folder example my downloaded sound was car_unlock.mp3 so just rename it unlock.ogg and same for your lock sound would renamed to lock.ogg
Sixth - close all Windows and reboot your device. After it restarts everything should work. If you want to use the original lock unlock sounds again delete the ones you downloaded and renamed from the system audio ui and just cut and move the originals that you moved to the downloads folder and make sure they are renamed lock.ogg and unlock.ogg.
Hopefully all works well and you now have your very own custom lock and unlock sounds. I will also post a video of my outcome. And this is not having a third party launcher app all original ui.

For Verizon users, you have to go to system, media, audio, ui and rename vector_lock.ogg and vector_unlock.ogg, fix permission and reboot.
