Download some skin...
then open the folder. you'll find xml file there.
open it with notepad++....
after that you can edit that... like change bg image, font, or the other.
If you want to change the bg image, just change .png file on that folder... * remember to make the height below 320 n width below 240, because our phone is LDPI.
If you want to change the font, just copy the font to the folder, n edit xml file. replace all ttf name by the font name you've already copied before.
after that, copy entire folder to sdcard n apply.(just like you appy the other mclock skin)
for the position of the date, clock or day,... you can open xml file from your device by Text Edit app, play with top, left or margin number for every element....
if you want it, just try to post the xml file here n ask which part you don't understand....
I'll glad if I can help you...
* if you want, you can search many mod n xml file here
Have come across a hacked version of S voice for Non SGS 3 Users and tested it in our Device. It is not 100% bug free but worth to give a try I love it
S Voice is an intelligent personal assistant on Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone, which runs on the Android operating system. Like Apple's Siri, the application uses a natural language user interface to answer questions, make recommendations, and perform actions by delegating requests to a set of Web services.
Many android users feels that S Voice is better than Vlingo in feature and performance wise.

PLEASE TAKE THE CWM BACKUP BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING HERE
I couldn't install the zip file in CWM so I manually extracted the file and pushed only the files/folders inside System folder into the. corresponding folders.
Procedure to install:
1. You mobile should have been rooted to use this.
2. Extract the zip file downloaded from the above link. Use file explorer like "Root Explorer " to navigate to the extracted folder and copy the folder "System" and paste that folder in "/" (root folder) of your device. If you are using Root Explorer make sure you tap on Mount R/w before pasting the folder. After you paste the folder, again press on Mount R/o. Basically it overwrites the existing /system folder contents with this one especially the existing text to speech related files will be overwritten with SGS 3 tts files. No worries everything works good.
3. Restart your mobile. Invoke S Voice either by double pressing home button or from Blue tooth or clicking the app icon.
Can anyone help in creating a CWM install zip file after complete testing by everyone please.

Q: How to delete this BootAnimation? / How to get the Stock bootanimation again?
A: If you dont have a Backup of your old Animation, follow these Instructions:

-on your Phone: (use Root Browser Lite or similiar) copy the
bootanimation.zip from your SD to system/media
-reboot

I will make this one as EASY as I can.. :good:
Im NOOBIE as well....
REQUIREMENTS
1.7ZIP for editing Framework-res.apk

(size 512x512) recommended by our great Dev Not-i
(but I used 800x1200 on above screenshots):beer:
4.COMPUTER :cyclops:
LET'S GET STARTED
make a NANDROID BACKUP in case any bad things happen...
1. GET your BACKGROUND IMAGE and change its format to .png(I use ROOT EXPLORER to change mine)
(this is VERY IMPORTANT to make it as .png format as it may cause problems/bootloop if its .jpg or others)
2. make a copy of your Background image and rename them to
>>>>tw_background_holo_dark
3. Copy the Framework-res.apk on SYSTEM / FRAMEWORK to COMPUTER
4. install 7zip
5. on a computer RIGHT CLICK the framework-res.apk and choose 7zip >>> OPEN ARCHIEVE
6.go to RES>>>> DRAWABLE-NODPI
7.COPY YOUR images and drag it in drawable-nodpi folder
8.close the 7zip window and copy the FRAMEWORK-RES.APK on computer to the Phone
9. move Framework-res.apk to SYSTEM then make its PERMISSION TO read write/ read / read
10. now place it now on SYSTEM / FRAMEWORK
11. REBOOT
not working on ALLIANCE..
confirmed working on Thaidai,Eybee rom, Jellyprime,EnergyBean.

GREAT POST DUDE!
But guys, about the background on Jelly Bean(LSZ), i wanted to change the transparency on the drawer background(make it semi-transparent like it was back on ICS and Gingerbread), is there a way to do it too?

This is a Noobie Guide on changing background through Framework-res.apk editing...
2. make 4 copies of your Background image and rename them to
>>>>background_holo_dark
>>>>background_holo_light
>>>>tw_background_holo_dark
>>>>tw_background_holo_light
Click to collapse
You only really need change "tw_background_holo_dark" to change system background. Don't worry about the others.
Size needed for Note 1 is PNG 512 x 512.
You can use a Free tool called Pix Resizer to resize images and to change them to png images. That way its quick and easy if you don't have Photoshop etc.
Hope this helps a little bit.
Good work mate :good:

To make it easy here the tutorial....
If using phone I prefer to use root explorer. If using laptop just need 7zip.
1. Download my modded sviewcoverservice.apk https://mega.co.nz/#!aAR3BJqB!8anPU32TCLeSOa0h4AG71PYoPfrWbc2bqFARJC_iFzc
2. Prepare your favourite wallpaper with resolution 1002x954 pixel and rename to mainbg_pattern_mainarea.png
3. Change modded apk to .zip(if you are using phone. If using laptop just open using 7zip)
4. Go to res/drawable-sw360dp-xxhdpi
5. Find mainbg_pattern_mainarea.png to mainbg_pattern_mainareax.png
6. Copy your wallpaper n paste inside the folder
7. Zip the file back and rename back to .apk
8. Go to system/app and rename original SViewCoverService.apk to SViewCoverService.apk.bak
9. Copy and paste your modded SViewCoverService.apk and set permission to r-w-r-r
10. Reboot

@jakTomas I wrote turorial for kitkat 4.4.2 ..... if you are running JB 4.3, u may proceed to the link on first post
Having an issue where re-zipping the folder causes the apk file to not be read correctly
Fixed ! all what was needed is just drag the modded png inside the opened archive not repack it
U can drag modded png if you'r using laptop.. but if you'r using hp you need to unzip n repack back.
Sweet, thanks... Needed to change weather icons too so this definately helped...
Great, works fine on my Note 3
Here is my patched file (remove .zip)
best regards
How do I change the transparency. I've tried all the . Apk's posted but there is always the colour tint. Any way if removing it?

If your ROM is odexed, just rename SViewCoverService.odex to SViewCoverService.odex.bak (or delet it) then reboot.
