Hi Folks!
I wanted to start a thread for potential aspirants from India interested in purchasing this amazing device!! Let us discuss prices and local availability, also if you can give a reason to move over to this device, would be a interesting to read
The product as of now to cost just $450 in China!
The desire 816 costs Rs 18000 in China , but in India it costs Rs 24000 .
So if One(E8) in china costs Rs 26000 , in India it will be between Rs 30000-33000.
Anyone going for it?
Now let us fill this thread up, with the colors of India.
If its above 30K noways!!
i hope htc will understand indian market and release it below 30K!!:angel::angel:
When is it being released in India??? I so wanna buy it.....

I have a quote on HTC M8 at 39000 INR at the moment, i am holding off my purchase to see what the E8 brings. My primary concern is the camera on M8 but i have seen samples on other threads that are quite cool. I am just waiting to see how both the devices compare in terms of camera..
May announce on 11 july

Better than other phones at that price.

Guys in my opinion 34990 is a decent price considering other flag ship phones at the same price bracket like crappy exynos s5. I know m8 is around 42k. But yeah the price of e8 will come down.

Dual Sim
Phone is described as Dual Sim. Is this dual Active or Dual Standby?
As read elsewhere it is standby dual sim
If only this was 5.5 inch....
Omg omg omg it would be my dream phone
But still it's the best... Better than m8....

For dual sim people this is a heavenly phone.....
Looking fwd to getting this phone too.
Would love if its price drop down to around 30,000:fingers-crossed:
Guess the best thing to do now is wait for at least a month and hope the price goes down to 30k or something (hopefully lower than that).
Judt saw that they dropped IR blaster....
No way for me then from a G2....
Need Indian Stock Rom
Is this phone available yet in India?... and if not when it will be available?
I need somebody to extract the RUU (preferred) or do an nandroid backup of the stock ROM before you install anything please!

Should be 34,990 itself, probably 1k more or less. You'd have to wait a few weeks for the price to go down noticeably. (realllllly hoping it goes down to 30 or at least close to that soon enough )

A very reliable source at HTC India (Delhi Office) claims that the HTC sensation after its UK launch , will hit the Indian Shores soon after that.

Didn't you say samsung india would release the SGS2 on April 17th? Did that happen?
As per my source the SGS2 is getting launched on May 13th. Stuck between a very tough decision. To go in for the SGS2 or wait for the Sensation. Heart says wait for Sensation, but have been surviving without a cell phone for almost a week now. My HD2 gave up the ghost.

Yes,but please try to read the full article..Source was Samsung Mobile India{the dumbest Samsung Service anywhere in India}.
They have clearly mentioned in their facebook/twitter page regarding April launch in India{hence the article},blame it to HTC Sensation 1.2 Ghz raw power which forced Sammy to brush up SGS 2 to 1.2Ghz{hence the delay}.But it has launched in April{not in India though}
Can't we get HTC Sensation before JUNE ? ? ?
Or it's still geting launched at it's previous date ? ? ?
Plz tell if it's may be launching in INDIA bit sooner . . . .
I think 22nd june it is!!!
Friends pre order started, availability is around 3rd or 4th week of this month
Its here now... 30.2K
Alright, My contract is ending very soon. So, I'm wanting your opinions on which carrier and device I should choose?
What are you currently using? Is there anything you especially like or dislike about it?
I just upgraded to an SGSII and love it, especially with the active development community here, but I'm also stuck with AT&T.

The primary downside to the AT&T SGSII is no LTE (4G). If that's important to you you'll have to avoid that phone. AT&T released a "skyrocket" version that is larger and includes LTE, but it has other differences as well that cause it to have a smaller developer community.
Have you asked friends on other providers how good their 4G service is in your area? Perhaps that would help you determine which carriers are best for you.
What's important to you? Monthly price? Coverage? Unlimited mobile to mobile? LTE in your area or areas you frequent? CDMA technology vs GSM? Having the hottest phone? Customer service? Do you get a discount through school or employer for a specific carrier?

HTC ONE X
Bro, I currently have a sgs2 and am loving it. Once you find the correct settings for performance v's battery life then it is grand. I have ordered a HTC ONE X as I would love to use it while flying to help me pass my aeronautical acrobatic exam. The camera is out of this world and the battery life is about 3 times better than an sgs2, running it with comparable settings etc. So, if you got the cash go with the HTC ONE X and I am sure you will not be let down. My copilot on one flight had one and it is freakin legendary. Anyways, hope that helps bro.
I would go with either the One X or the Galaxy SIII. im kinda partial to the SIII because i've had my Captivate with CM9 and its wonderful. Carrier wise just go with someone who has better coverage in your area
It´s time for you to learn where to post!!!

One X. After the 4.0.4 update and Sense 4.1. Its an absolute BEAST. Benchmarks better than the SGS3 now and Tegra 3 optimized games will give it the edge in gaming over a slightly better GPU in SGS3
When it all comes down to it. Pure power is so close that software optimizations will be the difference maker IMO

Was notification light ever fixed? That you couldnt manage the colours of the LED notification light made the one X useless, and even if they did they made the light so hard to see......what a pity
Galaxy Note II should theoretically beat all of them (depending on what you mean by "so far").
Not sure anything beats the Razr Maxx in terms of battery.
Xperia V , T and TX benches higher than those phones... lol!
As far as raw power is concerned it´s the S3 , the international - quad core Exynos version .
The Xperia T and V are S4 , so they are at the same level with HOS , american S3 etc.
+1 for mi2
The unlocked HTC One X has my vote. Technically if we're talking about to this date though, its the Galaxy Note 2.
iPhone !
Ofcourse the SGS3. Plenty of power. Just hoping some better optimizing with Android OS.
gs3 absolutely
I vote for One X.
When the Optimus G and Mi2 come out, they will really be the fastest. After doing a bit of research on the processor in them, I would say they will be around 70% faster than the One X or S3.
Its quite annoying, not only is my One X getting outdated fast, its going to be outdated by a lot... Phones move to fast now :/ you can't keep up.
Qualcomm APQ8064 Snapdragon
Quad-core 1.5 GHz Krait
I'd say it would safely handle any of the current games and apps and anything that android can throw at it so far.
My vote goes for samsung galaxy s3
Sony Xperia V!!
galaxy s3 for sure
If youre talking about hardware most people would say the sgs3 but the meizu MX and another phone I can't think of right now (not the one x) are slightly stronger. For the normal phone you word find in stores, it would be the sgs3

And the Moto X is actually smaller, at least in length, than either the SGS4 Mini (4.9") and One Mini (5.2").
looking at the phones compared to eachother its hilarious they're doing this.
-the phones almost look identical in size.
-htc one was released just a little bit ago. these phones come out so often its ridiculous.
-im fine with my htc one.
The One and One mini are similar in height, but the big reduction comes in width. That makes just as big a difference as height does. Just look at how different the Note 2 feels compared to the Note 1.

Yeah I found out right after that post. HTC deserves to go bankrupt for stuff like this.
I think more developers need to release more flagship devices with midrange specs and sell it at a lower price point. Some people want to buy a decent phone but don't want to spend $600 for it.
It doesnt need the best specs. Only midranged, but treat it as a flagship and a device that matters!

Rumour is that Google subsidises the Nexus 4 to the tune of $300+ - there's no way that HTC can compete with that.

Is the camera so bad as the first reviews said it is? It's a good idea not to compete in megapixels, but 4MP seems too low for a phone. I mean if it was a nikon it would make phantastic 4MP images, but I think it would have been better to stay with a standard 8MP. Or they may have just messed up something. I love the design of this phone and I wanted to buy it until I heard the problems with the image quality. No wonder they published a software improvement, but that's not enough!

I have the One (not Mini) and love the camera. It's much better than I expected. It was one of the hangups I had before buying it too because I use my phone as my main camera but I've been nothing but pleased with this since May. The ONLY thing that sucks about it that it doesn't do well to crop photos (because it's only 4MP) but for low light situations (indoors, outdoors at night or dusk) and HDR there is nothing better.
Will we getting the cool Ruby Red version of HTC One mini? Looks cool on HTC One

I don't think many ppl will jump ship. The Flex 2 will be expensive when it comes out I'm guessing, plus it really is the same as The G3 but curved and bumped up specs which is fantastic for me since I never owned a G3 yet. But for those G3 owners I think they'll wait for other snapdragon 810 phones to come out.

I don't know about that... http://www.androidauthority.com/lg-g-flex-2-price-amazon-de-579879/
The LG G Flex 2 was recently unveiled at CES 2015 and comes packing plenty of cutting edge hardware, including LG’s latest flexible display and Qualcomm’s new high-end processor. According to a listing on Amazon.de, the LG G Flex 2 will retail for around €599.99 off-contract. This will probably work out to around $600 in the US, give or take, based on the usual price differences.
This puts the G Flex 2 just on the cheaper side of your typical flagship smartphone and certainly isn’t an unreasonable price for a handset featuring a 5.5-inch 1080p flexible display, 13MP OIS+ camera, Snapdragon 810 processor, and a self-healing cover. However, what isn’t clear is whether this is the 2GB RAM/16GB storage or 3GB RAM/32GB storage variety of the handset, although the price probably suggests the former. Unfortunately, there’s no mention of a release date either, although pre-orders are available now via the link.
If you would like a closer look at what the G Flex 2 has to offer for €599.99, check out our coverage of the launch announcement and our time spent going hands-on with the handset at CES.

I am daily checking the Korean market with no news about the phone. I would remember as the official launch was planned for 30/01/2015.

Ran it a couple more times and got 51239 and 50693. Does it usually vary this much?

Thanks, comparing to the Exynos 7420 leaks of S6 it's not dragging behind much, but it does pull the shorter straw in all tests, especially multitasking and CPU integer/float-point. Obviously we have to see how the S6 does in real life later.
Since AnTuTu tests a lot of different areas the result can vary a bit depending on heat, current load on the system etc.
