Could you be so kind to upload here some 8mpix images you took with your M2 (single sim) cameras. Images from my camera are blurry, and im just not sure, if this is standalone issue, or do you people get blurred images too.
I also have an old Xperia Arc S, images from Arc are far better than those from M2.
Thanks for your effort!

The camera on the Tipo is pretty crappy. I recently looked at photos taken on a 3-year-old Nokia phone (S60 Symbian) and my Tipo on a large computer screen. The two phone cameras have nominally exactly the same number of pixels, 2048 x 1536 = 3.15 M, but the pictures from the Nokia were a lot sharper. The Tipo photos looked quite blurry in comparison. All were taken in good daylight. I don't know the exact Nokia model, and I don't have that phone handy. It was priced similarly to the Tipo, but 3 years ago.
The camera on the Tipo is basically only suitable for emergency snapshots when you don't have anything better handy, and even then only in daylight. There's effectively no low-light capability at all, and no flash. You do kinda get what you pay for. Of course, some might like the blur and wonky white balance as an artistic effect
I already know that the tipo has 3mp
I want to know that what is the difference between ion's front camera and tipo's back camera because ion's front camera's picture quality is better then tipo
Price is the main difference... use of better hardware and all that...

Look for the stock Android camera.
I'm using the FV-5 camera (non-free). Gives you control over sharpening/post processing options and also a "raw" mode (png).
Did sony tweak the camera on kitkat? Or is it still so terribad?
To answer my own question, sony did in fact improve the camera quality with kitkat. Though it's still not quite good. In the past it had lots of sharpening artifacts, now it does not have those. However, the edges are now fuzzy instead of being slightly unsharp...
I need some photo samples taken by Xperia M2 in full-size after KitKat upgrade.
Thank you.
After kitkat upgrade the pictures a cleaner, they don't have that black dot's any more, that was the first thing i checked after upgrade
BUT still the pictures are far from great.
ll upload some pic's when i get home.

Thank you so much.
Here is a picture with kitkat.
I searched a lot for a camera comparsion between Z3 & Z2 in low light conditions with & without flash, but I could not find any
Can u post some photos taken by them to compare?
Thank u
I thought there would be a pictures thread, for this great device but alas didn't find one.
So, owners of this device ,please post your best shots as soon as possible.
Thanks
I wish I could post some pictures but Sony did poor job with the camera. Perfectly blurred pictures is what I get. I've noticed that with the Google camera the quality is better so maybe if I get used to that I might post some pics
Here's a quick point n shoot using superior auto, I think the m2 camera is actually quite a good camera.
D2303 18.3.1.C.1.15 kk deodexed, rooted, philz touch recovery, xposed, z1 bravia engine 2 + x-reality+ z3 super vivid, viper audio
Here's two more same again quick point n shoot using superior auto mode

I think the camera is decent for me, eventhough I prefer to use my own DSLR.
I find M2 is quite a shooter for its price. Sure it has some quirks to overcome, but when you do, you'll get some good photos.
Here are some of my instagram photos taken with my M2. The second photo has a VSCO filter. The others don't.
And I only shoot manual.
You'll notice the lack of dynamic range. I think that is the main problem FOR ME.
Ok, i like this idea.
This are 4 of the 8 pictures i wanted to share, i dont know much about photography but i like to take them and see the results, none of this photos have any filter, tell me what you think about them if you want. Greetings!
These are the other 4 photos.
The last one is kind of a joke actually
This is after applying the fix discussed here: Sony Talk Link
Basically, you rub toothpaste with a cotton bud on the lens until the blue rubbish coating is fully clear. Results in crisper images and better colors. The older your Xperia M2 gets, more blurring will appear on your photos. This is because the blue coating degrades over time so it's best to remove it completely. You can use toothpaste or a very fine sandpaper.
Hmmmm a waffle

Just did the toothpaste metod and worked perfectly! Thanks !
Hi, just want to share a few pictures comparing the 3 phones.
All three running latest stock. Xperia 1 is 12MP, Xperia XZ1 19MP and Xperia XZ 23MP.
(first time creating a post like this, if some one can post the pictures to be viewed directly feel free to do so)

That's a good exemple of what I experience whit mine, when there is no need for HDR, like the city landscape, the shots are really great due to the high amount of detail. But when HDR is needed due to dark and light areas like here indoor, the Xperia 1 can't keep up.
damn..they really uped their game with the X1.. i have the XZ1...i guess its time to upgrade...let me see what they release in IFA..
