I'm usually not a fan of a lock screens. It just seems like one more step to get to what I need. This lockscreen from Snapdragon truly is an exception though. Its very very efficient and helpful. See what you think.

The battery saving app from Snapdragon is neat too. Who better to develop that than the company that developed the phones processor. See what you think.

I used the app extensively on my Rezound, but the HTC One M8 doesn't seem to need it. Plus it kept turning off my wifi.

I did the sqlite hack for power saving mode and now get close to 5 hrs sot and almost 24hrs between charges with moderate use. I used battery guru on my g2 when I first got it and it actually used more juice than it saved.

From you guys who already got the AT&T one x, how is the battery life compared to phones you've owned previously?
Only had it 1 day but I think it will be superior to or at least on par with my old galaxy s2
Sent from my HTC One X using XDA
It'll take a few cycles to be accurate

Mines great on 3G, 4g is crazy on battery tho.

I'm surprised there are not more posts on this. So how is it fellas?
had the phone since ten AM Thursday and it still has odd battery life. about 4-6, maybe 8. But this could just be me and it needing cycling. it does do some odd stuff, similar to what my GS2 did. Battery meter shows 95%, reboot and it will be 83% or maybe 99%, its a crap shoot.
After 3 full days:
16 hrs w/ 2hrs to go with light usage.
Monday when I am back at work will be the real test.
So far, the best battery life than any of my phones in the past 6months.

This is from my first full charge cycle and it will likely be another hour or two before it dies. I'm in an lte market and was on lte probably 6 or 7 hours here. Rest on WiFi.

Great so far
So far the best of any android phone I've owned. It arrived with a dead battery, I fully charged and got excellent battery life. This is from my second charge usage. I keep screen brightness around 30-35% cause otherwise it bothers my eyes (I wear glasses).

Well my trusty and beloved Skyrocket finally gave up the ghost due to a busted power button. I didn't want to return it again for another one as the call quality wasn't ever very good lots of people always complaining that they could not understand me. So I went and got me an HTC One. I quickly found out after getting it that it didn't come with an SD Card slot.............ARGHHHHH! And I also cannot use an extra battery which I always carried with me on the Rocket. This phone seems to be much better behaved battery wise after a day of using it but I will reserve judgement until I fully charge it and use it for a day. I am going to use all day tomorrow and see how I like it and if it doesn't measure up (probably won't) I am returning it for a GS4 or maybe wait for the GS4 Active if I have time???
Keep the one. It's an amazing device and the battery will surprise you. I recommend you install arhd and greenify. I get outstanding battery life. Far better than my old rocket.

I love my nexus 5 ! I would not trade any phone even for the new s5 that's going to come out. The development is amazing and the devs are very knowledgeable. As for the battery I get about 3-4 hour screen time. I usually take it out it the charger around 7am and it lasts me till 10 pm with medium to heavy use. The camera is also good I believe there was a comparison between the Nexus 5 and the Samsung S4http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-6AszlQIIs. I have never owned a moto x so I really can't tell you if the camera is better.

Man, there are a ton of these Moto X vs. N5 threads, please search before posting next time. But if you want my opinion, I have both and I prefer the Moto X. I do love the N5, I just like the Moto X a little better. Check my posts in this thread- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2642626

I have both in possession. Which is better?
The only thing that makes the X better is ergonomic design, the customization, always listening feature, Active display and the screen is better in most ways(IMO).
The nexus 5 wins in all the other departments, even the battery. If you do get an NX5 unlock the bootloader as soon as it's out of the box. Huge pay off

I don't have this phone yet, but I will be getting it in the mail Monday. I am coming from a Moto X, which is a great device. I love the phone overall. But two gripes I have is the development for the phone and the fact that it's "wannabe stock"
I want the N5 because of the ROM support. Its outstanding. I'm used to the Note 2, S4, HTC One, and when you have Roms on there, there's not a major difference. The AOSP Roms are always buggy. With the N5, your going to have a phone that was made to he tinkered with. Most apps that are made to replace something (lockscreens, launchers, etc) were made for fitting a stock android (N5) experience.
I am excited about this phone because its been a while since I've rooted a phone. Its an addiction that has been cured with VZWs S4 and HTC One, but The relapse is far more exciting then sticking with stuff almost out of the box

I used to flash a lot on my previous devices, but this phone is so awesome on stock rooted with Xposed, I haven't yet felt like trying any other roms.
Why do they get it and we don't? This is so frustrating.
Nor does the S5... Or the Z2... Or the Find 7...
I think the question we should be asking is why did every other manufacturer decline the functionality?
My guess is that it either isn't too great with battery or the keyword HAS to be "Hello Snapdragon" which didn't fly with them.

You're right! I wasn't aware the GS5 had that. Indeed they're most likely using the chipset feature.
But this raises another question, why didn't one plus customize their keyword? "Hello Snapdragon" is kind of a mouthful. I guess it doesn't really matter.
I can't help but wonder if this functionality can be hacked in. I'd think it would be easier on a AOSP based ROM.

The core is low power in order to transmit that information it would need to cause a wake lock which could easily be blocked. I would be more concerned with backdoors that are in the closed source radio blobs

Ha! I wish! With Verizon's record, we probably won't see the update until the next ice age! It does look like a lot of good things are in there though- improved camera drivers and a built in file manager would be great. Oh, and the FM radio and stock internet browser that Verizon removed would be good too. ?

This part is not credible. They installed an LED with orange and green; period. It reminds me of an April Fool's joke many MANY years back when Palm announced a "software color mode" and those not knowing better thought that suddenly their monochrome Palm Pilot's would have color capabilities. The LED colors can't be changed with software. So, I'm a little suspicious of the entire piece because of that one detail.
Besides, if I haven't heard it from @evleaks, I don't believe it's real.
LED
I think the different LED flash notifications would be awesome! I used to have this on my Moto Defy and I love it. I am going to try this ROM out tongiht.
