I'm looking for an application that will automagically record my calls without me having to run anything. I'm assuming this would require root. Also, I want nothing that will upload my calls anywhere. I want them stored locally. Thank you.

I don't suppose you searched the Playstore? Anyway, I use this one. There's a trial version to make sure it works and to get the full features it's about $4.50. On my rooted stock GS5 it works better than any phone recorder app I've ever tried on previous phones.

I rooted my skyrocket and flashed CM7 Alpha Version 3 ROM.
I wasn't able to receive calls, or txt messages.
Also, does anyone know if I can uninstall ADW.Launcher From CM7? I want a pure google based ROM. I like Pure google, but dont wanna slap down the price for a unlocked nexus...

Flash the new version alpha 4 with da_g new cm7 v4 kernel and that should solve your problem

I had to flash DaG's kernel even with the latest update to CM7. My WiFi wasn't working before I did.
You will also need to restore backed up APN settings for data and LTE to work. I tried entering them manually (as outlined in the OP for the ROM) and it didn't work.
There isn't a vanilla Android ROM for this phone yet, at least not to my knowledge. You could try making one I suppose, but that is no easy task (nor is it risk-free!).

The new 4.1 youtube update killed youtube for a lot of gingerbread users, as im still using a gingerbread rom and i updated not knowing it would break it. I have looked all over for an old version of the youtube but can not seem to find one that works and I do no remember the version for gingerbread! im currently using the GB Hellfire rom if anyone could please post a link to the apk or pull one from the rom that would be awesome! Thanks!
Currently running Youtube v4.1.23 on my GB ROM (Temasek 135.1 Final Build) and things are working just fine. Possibly un-install and reinstall the app?
I'm also running version 4.1.23 on rooted stock GB (2.3.4) without any issues

i thought the same thing, turn out you just have to uninstall the update, the old youtube we like is the one by default. no need to look for the apk

I am trying to find out how to tell if I gave the VRBLK3 baseband version installed. I realize you go to >settings>about and read it displayed. But I've been installing several different ROMs, restoring Nandroids and tweaking the build.prop values to get wallet to work. So I'm just not sure if value I'm seeing for the baseband version is the actual version or just what the build.prop was set at. Is there another way to tell which version I have installed?
I ask because I'm running the galaxy mod 14.1 rom right now and everything is working perfect, but I've watched of video that said when you are running that ROM you should be seeing the VRBLK3.
I just don't know another way to check.

If you flashed it (baseband), rom's/backups/ whatever will not change it.
I know some of these new roms are so tweaked things like meid and such are not showing up right. Flashing a more stock rom fixes this but they work fine.

If it's a rom based off the TW 4.4.4 NI3 leak for sprint then it will work
Updated patch if you flashed the original patch SM-G900P_4_4_4_Sprint_PATCH.zip then you need to reinstall the rom and apply the newest patch listed below this will fix the laggy call screen and contacts

@jrkruse question, I know you mentioned about getting stuff working eventually to start patching 4.4.4 international roms when they finally get the update. This patch is only for 4.4.4 sprint..which last time I looked there's only 1 rom of it and it's just a stock rooted. Jrkruse said when the international s5 gets 4.4.4 he'll work on a patch for that then. I too would like a 4.4.2 international patch as I'm sure it's possible but it's alot of work, so myself im ok with waiting.

If you guys can send me the framework2.jar and telephony-common.jar and build.prop from the 4.4.2 rom that your wanting to use I can see if I can make a patch the only problem I believe is that the newer the international 4.4.2 builds got the more kernel dependent they were. but I can put one together and you can try it. I am without high speed internet for a few more days so in order for me to download one of the International roms to pull those files would take my like 12 hrs only have crappy 3g service on the phone right now.

I could probably do that.. If I could decide what rom looks the best performance wise to try out. If I'm able to choose, Would those few files in a zip be ok?
Also, what about T-mobile roms? Does the same apply to them? , as far as patching to work toes.

Yes zip fine. Tmobile roms should work the problem is getting the tmobile apks deleted from the rom some of them may cause the rom not to work right on verizon

Im sure this is the only way we will see it on our phones is with a patch unless Verizon needs to push it out for something that benifits them like the 4.4.4 update to give us VOLTE

If you had OI1 installed stock and set up the phone then flashed the Rom it will work. That is something me and my testers made sure of.
Working great so far. Love it @Joshwaaa good job. I'll report back if I find any bugs (doubting it ).

Went straight stock to rom following directions from OP and can confirm hotspot working!

Got it working. Didn't set it up initially... ROM is great!
In the 925P downloads folder in the OP there are OI1 mods. Center statusbar clock and center statusbar clock with no AM/PM if anyone is interested.

I dont know if its the ROM or the beta kernel, but inside facebook it sometimes crash to the lock screen. Facebook is the only app I noticed this on so far. As anybody else seen this? I am running the latest nova launcher

I will ask some of my testers if they use facebook as I do not. See if they have the same issue. Can you give me some more info. Like what are you doing or press when it crashes.

Just noticed this the first time today on Facebook when a video preview is showing on my rom. I flashed v9 beta last night, so not sure if it has to do with that or not. First time i ever noticed it was today.
Thanks for this ROM! Itching to flash it, just gotta odin to OH1 or whatever and OTA, flash rom etc. Hoping UniV9 is good cause for some reason V8 was a turd for me.
