No.
D820 = 4g in North America and nowhere else.
D821 = 4g everywhere else and not in North America

Looking for some advice. I've recently purchased a British Google Nexus 5 from Google Play. However I plan to move to Canada shortly.
-> Would the lack of support for LTE band 4 on the D821 model result in any problems in Canada? (I was hoping to join either Koodo or Virgin mobile on 4G).

Rogers runs on 2600mhz as well. And Bell has 2600mhz in some markets.

Looks like Bell (and companies using their network) don't have 2600mhz in Ottawa so that's out.
Do you know if Fido has access to Roger's 2600mhz network around the Ottawa region? (I'm trying to find a month by month contract)
I might be better off returning my current Nexus :/
Rogers claims that their 2600mhz is available in all LTE markets. Fido uses the Rogers network so it will have the same reception as Rogers.

I am going to buy the Nexus 5 from Saudi Arabia (probably D821) will I be able to flash any nexus 5 software (I don't care about 4G as Egypt has no $G network yet) found on the forum without problems or not ... What are the problems I would face????
Yes, all the software and roms are the same for the d820 and d821. You'll have no problems

There is only 2 nexus 5 variant.
D820 is sold in america
D821 is sold in rest of the world
There is no difference between D820 and D821. A chip on D820 is programmed to work with usa lte networks, while on D821 this chip is programmed to work with lte network outside of the usa. Besides that all nexus is the same, and all sim unlocked.

If you're really planning to buy; not rent a phone, just get it from the Play Store. The 16gb version is cheaper and you can get the 32 gb version if you want, which Sprint doesn't carry. You can get the SIM card from Sprint and activate it, no charge. That unleashes you from any long term commitment to Sprint.

India is not north America? Isn't that enough
The short answer is it will work on either gsm or CDMA but only sprint CDMA in us. Long answer is you bought the US version for use outside of the US. Not sure it will work in India.
