So i have been searching for 2 weeks for Roms and how to Root this device. I have finally rooted the devices but yet to find any roms for this device . None of the main websites like here and Android central even have a section for this device yet. i was wondering if anyone had started working on any Roms for this device. i might try and mess with it my self but the device is my wifes so i dont have it in my possession all the time to be able to do that. Any info would be great thanks guys
There is none that I know of yet SDX is doing alot with transform. The samsung moment is very close to the transform and little john has just come out with 2.2.1 for yhe moment still has some bugs but will be working soon. I'm sure some one will be porting it soon as its done. also there is a very cool theme for the transform and some of moment things do work on it. I am getting 9.1 on linpack. Go to SDX!!!!

i rooted mine using intercept root.apk there are many places to download it if you want it
also i flashed custom recovery easily which i can use to flash a ton of roms like TransGinger and even unofficial versions of cyanogen mod
My friend helping me root doesnt want to brick MY phone. SO. Just to clarify. I see Jelly Bam rom is for D2spr phone. Is that ok run on my ...... sph L710? There are a couple other roms I like that r for D2spr phone It looks like people with L710 a running them. These roms are listed in L710 catagory on this site. So again r these roms designed to run on both phones? Ive really been trying to find devinitive answer searching and learning all week.

can someone please point me to best and easy rooting tutorials and how to flash a rom etc been reading threads and still i don't have a clue
what rom fully boots the fastest.?

Are you purchasing new ? Or are getting this second hand ? The only reason I ask is because 4.2.1 is not the "stock" software at this time.
Mine came stock with 4.0.4, and I have read that they are now shipping with 4.1.1 installed
The only 4.2.1 version currently out is the custom CyanogenMod 10.1 ROM.
May just be a typo on your original post - but figured I would ask just in case

Change the title of your thread to reflect your question. This will help others in your situation to quickly find and learn from your post, in turn hopefully preventing more 'how do I root/flash' threads.
If anyone knows of or is in production of a custom ROM please let me know. I have mine rooted with CWM, so if you need any stock files let me know and Ivan send them over! I would love to have something for this make. I see there are plenty of option for the pxxxx or gtxxx models. But nothing for the SGHxxx variants.

I have one too and I can't believe there is no development for this thing. If there is no dev for it soon, the next new thing will bump it off the AT&T shelf and all we'll have is a rooted stock Tab 2 or the opportunity to buy something else.
Im sorry but there is seriously only one dev for any SGHXXX device. And he only supports the 7" one. Sorry guys. Besides, why not get a Nexus 7 or wait for the new Nexus 7.7?

How did you get yours rooted? I have tried a number of different ways and never could get it rooted. I have searched XDA for it as well but no luck.

i found a great ROM for this tablet its a 4.1.2 ROM but i can get a lot of the features from the newer Roms you just can install a rooted app and install them i can get the link to the ROM if anyone would like. its a stock ROM but its amazing

I'm also looking for any usable rom apart from stock. I have an sph-p500 which is technically the same as sgh-i497 but found no roms at all. any help appreciated. all rom links are broken. I know the device is pretty old but I don't want to shred it.

hello settler11 why don't you try a custom firmware instead of custom roms ?
