[Q] Phone freezes during media - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys, I'm running stock 4.4.3 and franco r53, and have run into an issue.
When I am listening to music, and access snapchat or something like a audio piece on whatsapp, it freezes, and even exiting takes some time. After killing the apps that have stopped, audio on the device is also soundless. A quick check at system monitor shows CPU at 100% load and cores are locked to maximum frequency. Also when powering down it hangs at the black screen after "system is shutting down"
Does anyone else have this problem?
Thanks

[Q] Reboot, crash, freeze tracker?

Are there any apps available tharly can runin the background and track when my phone reboots, crashes or freezes? How about logging battery usage?
For some reason, my Dell Streak has been having issues lately. To try and fix it I have even reset back to defaults and reinstalled the firmware.
What has been happening is...
- freezes when the phone has been sleeping. Requires a battery pull.
- random reboots.
- getting extremely warm in my pocket and draining the battery.
Since the phone is dead or reset, I can't determine what was happening when the problem happens.
CPU Speed
My Phone was doing that same thing. When I installed an RCMix3d kernel it nearly doubled my CPU speed and was making my phone crash and freeze all the time. Once I got SetCPU and set up some profiles to lower my CPU speed to something it could handle everything has been smooth sailing since.

[Q] Issue with high CPU% usage by some services

Hi,
From last few weeks, I am getting random lag in my phone. Everything just moves in frames. I checked CPU load using android system info and found that service 'com.motorola.blur.service.main' consumes 100% CPU usage (also it shows 2 processes running for same). Also, some times service 'android.process.acore' too shows CPU usage as 100% (but phone does not lags at that time).
Any solution for that?
Another strange issue I am facing is that whenever I connect my phone to laptop/desktop in media mode and the phone is unlocked, random clicks starts happening itself (like bluetooth is turned on, data turned off, random shortcut on home screen gets clicked)
I have JB leak1 installed and phone is unrooted.
Thanks,
Deepak Anand.

[Q] Phone crashes as soon as media scanner completes...able to boot in Safe Mode

Hi All,
Background,
My phone used to crash whenever left on for too long or when the battery is low. And when it crashes the processor heats up very rapidly and the battery charge runs out fast if I don't replace the battery and restart the phone. Well I'm running the Firmware Version 2.3.6 Build # Gingerbread.UCLB3 - yes the one that starts with the "Rainbow Screen".
Now the current problem,
I might have installed something recently (don't remember what), I got a memory is full message and phone went into the kernel panic mode. Ever since whenever I'm restarting the phone it keeps crashing as soon as the media scanner completes running 100%.
I removed the sim and booted into Safemode and phone is running all fine. Even if I booted to safemode with the sim on I think it'd still work.
What do I do?

[Q] CURIOSITY OF DEGRADATION OF PERFORMANCE DUE TO SOFTWARE, ETC (android)

Hi there! Does anyone knows whether a screen hang/freezes would affect the phone performance?
And what about apps (games/doc, basically high ram, cpu, graphics usage) :
1-when it hangs and you could get to task manager and force stop app
2-When it hangs you need to click & click lock button
3-When it hangs you need to restart device (with the option menu able to pop out during screen hangs)
4-When it hangs and you can't do ANYTHING about it (which means what left is to take off battery)

Someone please answer: Why is my device lagging / stuttering after sleep ?

Why is my Android Tv set top box lagging badly after I put it in deep sleep, and then wake it up again? This normally happens after I have been using the youtube app to watch videos, then put it to sleep, with the power plugged in. I tried everything to fix the problem, including memory clean, restart all apps, virus scan, speed boost app and even system UI reset. The only thing that fixes the problem is to reboot the whole thing. Without reboot, the performance improves but only after a long time. But I don't like shutting down my device, I prefer putting it to sleep so it can start up quickly when I need to use it again and rebooting is too slow. So what do I do to fix it? My device is rooted.
Update: It seems that after searching other posts, this is an update issue to the android firmware for tv boxes but no solution has been found. One user claimed that putting the device to sleep without exiting app to home screen reduces the lag upon wake up somehow.
