Hi,
I've been trying to restore my P3100 back to the official firmware after screwing up a custom firmware install. I'm trying to flash the P3100XWBLH3 firmware (ICS, downloaded from samsung-updates) with Odin3 1.87 but the process gets stuck at modem.bin. I am unable to post a screenshot, but here's what it showed in the message box:

I'm wondering, could this be caused by the fact that I accidentally flashed the firmware of the non-GSM version earlier? Can this still be fixed or have I perma-bricked my device 3G-wise, effectively turning it into a Wi-Fi tablet? I have tried extracting the .tar.md5 and flashing the modem.bin separately but it still gives me the same error.
E: I am also getting an "E: Failed to mount /efs (Invalid argument)" error every time I boot to recovery mode. I looked around the forums a bit and it seems that the modem and the efs thingy have something in common. Is this correct?
Help, anyone? Sorry for bumping, but I really need help with this.
I have come to the conclusion that the /efs error is causing this. I looked through the folder and there was nothing in there, apart from an empty folder named "wifi".
Could somebody please send me a copy of their /efs folder for 4.0.4 ICS - preferably a factory unlocked one, modified to include a fake IMEI if you so wish - so that I could put that on my Tab and replace the IMEI with the one found on the back side of my device. I am quite sure that would allow me to flash the modem.bin successfully and finally get this thing working again.
Hy guys.
I need help to flash my Samsung SM-G900F. I've downloaded an official Rom and I tried to to flash it whit Odin v3.09, but every time i get the same error at the end of the process and my phone display's the same message: "Some thing went wrong. Please connect to Keis " or something like that. Android vresion: G900FXX1ANG8. And another strange thing is that I can't enter the Recovery Mode, when I press volume up+power+home nothing happens. Please help me flash an official rom.

so you are still able to get into download mode? also give us a picture of what ODIN says, you should try to connect it to kies which would install stock rom itself for you, ODIN is basically already inside kies and we ripped it from it.

Yes, I can still acces the dowload mode. Odin fails at the end of flashing after writing the modem the box at the top turns red and FAIL appear. The phone remains in download mode, and when I try to start it shows this message “Firmware Upgrade Encountered an Issue”

Curious, what is your phone's country of origin (and service provider).
This can help identify the correct firmware.

I bought the phone from Spain an now i'm using it in Romania and the carrier is Orange Romania. When i tryed to reset ot from settings it remained stuck a boot loop.
My boot loader is updated with COH2 OTA and I try to flash BOG8 with ODIN after upfrading. Now I stuck with blue screen says An error has occured and need emergency recovery in SmartSwitch. But SmartSwitch shows unsupported device. Any Idea on how to avoid the problem?

The problem is that you cant downgrade the bootloader. Thats why it failes at hidden.img. With Odin you only can flash a COH2 firmware. Older ones will definitly fail.
Why do you want to have a BOG8 rom instead of COH2?

My first firmware was G920FXXU1AODE. Then one OTA update reached automatically and I was unable to use 3G from now on. When I first bougt this phone I was able to use 3G. Now I am searching firmware that can give back the 3G function in my phone. I hope that G920FXXU2BOG8 can give me back the 3G. But now I am stuck with the blue screen saying error and need smartswitch but smartswitch does not recognise my device. What to do now? Need to wait for COH2?

When you got the OTA for COH2 then there should be an Odin flashable firmware available on Sammobile.

Edit: Sammobile listed it. Downloading
Galaxy S5 SM-G900F running Lollipop (BOE5) rooted with CF-Auto-root worked fine for about 5 months until few daus back. After device restart it entered download mode with message "Could not normal boot; ddi: mmc_read" failed. It does not boot into recovery either, instead it enters the Download mode with the error messages. Any flashing attempt with Odin stops at "Odin : flash read failure" on the device and the "There is no PIT partition" error on Odin on PC. Is the device really hard bricked and cannot be repaired via Odin or similar?
Things I have tried so far:
-flashing Lollipop and KitKat stock ROMs with Odin
-flashing TWRP and stock recoveries with Odin
-booting with SD with S5 debrick.img (boots into DM with errors)
-flashing PIT file only and PIT file together with stock ROM

Got the device back from repair, looks like they have replaced the internals (board (?) and/or the memory chips; I don't know that much about physical architecture).

My story
Yesterday i root my phone with this image below by chainfire and it was working perfectly

However the propose to root was not working very well so i unroot with superuser. And since that dont solve the problem i wipe Delvin/cache/data to have a full clean install.
So it start to say that i need an urgent recovery from Smart Switch, but for some reason that program dont detect my phone (add problems previosly also)
to overpass this i enter in download mode and flash with the the rom i mention above with odin v3.13.1.
i read in some places that cm.bin has to do with the version and i cant downgrade. But i'm using the same version i had before so dont think is that.
Also i try to make a new image without the cm.bin but when i'm placing the md5 file in odin he returns an error saying "binnary file is not ok"
Any help!!
Download and run this;
https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3803841&d=1467715462
When you open the program, type the values given here;
Model: SM-G920F
Region: DBT
Auto: Selected
Manual: Unselected
Binary Nature: Unselected
Check CRC32: Selected
Decrypt automatically: Selected
When you write and select options given above, press "Check Update" and then press "Download" to download the most updated firmware for your device.
Once the download has been finished, extract the zip file that you've downloaded via SamFirm.
After unzip it, try to flash it via Odin.
Havent test the one from the app but i was already download this from SAMMOBILE. But i check the name and it's the same.
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s6/SM-G920F/OPT/download/G920FXXU6ERC9/217601/
i think was bad luck that was an update yesterday and i actually update it, so that's why my previous rom wasn't working. This release came out today afternoon
So if you have this kind of problem just check if there's a new release.
Solved thanks guys.
