[SOLVED] - Verizon HTC One (M8)

I format Data inside TWRP recovery to accomplish a full wipe.
I was installing AOSB Rom. The ROM installed and hang on reboot with a dim screen.
I managed to get back into recovery after several tries and my internal storage says 0 MB when i tried to wipe dalvik cache again to retry ROM installation.
TWRP says E: unable to mount data
it says something else about internal storage I just cant remember the whole error lol.
I flashed CWM and TWRP custom recovery several times and no luck getting the partition back.
Is this phone now soft-bricked? It is stil charging the battery for me.
I had Super CID the phone to able to install AHRD 7.0 ROM. Do i need to revert the CID?
I ran into a similar problem before but I did not loose the internal SD card in the process.
Do i need to follow this tutorial here to fix the problem?

Thanks for any help in advance.

If you can get to bootloader then download Ruu to sd card via pc an put it on root of sd card an reboot bootloader that should restore your phone to stock. You can try that as a option

But i woke up today after phone rechaged and was shocked of a screen showing Decrypt Storage and at the bottoms i says 30 attempts remain before device data is deleted. I dont know the password to decrypt so i put in many combination of letters and hit enter but it will not reset (delete ) data. The phone power interface appears to be a ViperOne M8 Rom, I can reboot to boot loader and just about anything here, seemed to be working normally.
I have no idea how the SD card is encrypted.
I'll try to revert the CID then run the RUU to see what's up lol.
edit: It will not let me write cid VZW_001
says Invalid cid
Thanks again

Your encrypted come from a aosp Rom. All them out there have this problem that I aware of some get it some don't. My self I'm staying away till it's fixed. There is a way to fix that too but try the Ruu first well that's what I would do. Let me know what happens.

You have to remove the encryption there r ways I think you have to wipe internel or something...see if you can find the thread about it. Check around the roms. I'll do so to see if I can find fix. Maybe you can change cid cause of this.

[Q] [RESOLVED] Is my phone bricked? Please help

Okay so today I was tinkering with my phone when I accidentally deleted a system file that was crucial. So I went to bootloader and wiped phone (I know that was the wrong thing to do, now). So I have no ROM on my phone. I was able to ADB the ROM I need to my phone on internal storage (not /sdcard) but the problem is whenever I try to flash it, I get the following error over and over in the code area in TWRP "E: failed to mount /sdcard (invalid argument). I've gone to the mount options screen and when I try to select sdcard nothing happens, I can't select it. If it's any help, the ROM I'm trying to flash has the official page here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1804223 and the ROM I was on before this whole thing is here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1868236 . Any help is greatly appreciated, I really need this phone fixed!
EDIT: Alright, so I flashed stock recovery, relocked, and then used my friend's PC (thanks man!) and now my phone is in perfect working condition. Just re-rooted and re-unlocked the bootloader in like 10 minutes, which is funny because it took me like an hour and a half the first time. Anyways, thank you to all the users on this forum for helping me. Appreciate it!
NEVER Factory Reset or Clear Storage from bootloader it'll screw up your storage inside of twrp. I tried formatting storage afterwards in twrp and in windows and it still didn't help twrp see it. I ended up running the ruu again.
easiest thing to do is run the ruu again, reunlock bootloader, flash twrp and flash rom. then never factory reset or clear storage in bootloader again.
if you find another method let me.

EDIT: So is the ruu the stock ROM? I've done some googling and it appears that it's something to do with exe file. I'm on a Mac, but I can get access to a PC if it's necessary.

And youll have to learn some simple adb commands tto relock your bootloader..or it won't work someone correct me if wrong
Hi guys yep you'll need to do some adb work to relock for ruu. However... if you still have recovery? You could try flashing a clean ROM. Then flash the cm10 over that. Of course youll need to delete cache,s before flashing cm10. I'd give that a shot first.
(Edit) I just noticed you having the mount issue also... ignore that. Just check you PC it should still show up. And it may ask you to format the drive? Your OK to do that fat32.

Easiest way to fix is to connect phone to pc, then select mount, mount usb in twrp and windows will prompt you to format.
Then once that is done you can copy your rom of choice across unmount and flash.

Twrp is known for having mount issue. I'm tell in ya if you USB to PC it will still find the SD as long as you have the HTC drivers installed. Unless your twrp is gone? Then you need to ruu.

Yes, I still have recovery and twrp is not letting me mount sd card. I'm trying to get the ruu to work, however, I have a Mac and getting it to work in a third party program like Wine or Parallels isn't easy, but I'm making progress. If there's another way to run the ruu on Mac, let me know.

I made a terrible mistake and i delete my entire system, whitout backup first.
my device is now rooted, with twrp. I tried a several ruu, but i can't find one for version 1.18.709.3. my cid is HTC_621.
I also tried a several roms with sense 5, but the wi-fi data can't work. Right now i have no operating system.
Do you have any ideas what should i do for getting back on stock rom, no twrp and unrooted? Kind regards.

I guess i have a custom rom if i it get me in bootloader after i download updates. all i want is to have stock rom, unrooted, without twrp and to install updates ota
here is how i proceed:
downloading your rom from dropbox.
put the rom on a sd card
Open the rom zip and extract the boot.img file to the adb folder
Connect the phone to pc
opened cmd
restart phone in bootloader
type adb devices, but my device serial number arent showed here, but i have installed htc sync
Type "fastboot erase cache"
Type "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
Type "fastboot erase cache" again
Type "fastboot reboot recovery" to get to CWM or TWRP, but the command doesn't work. still, i enter manually on recover
Backup system, data, and cache but it says "failed on cache"
Factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, format system
Install the rom from sd card.

Ever since i plugged in my PC from that day, factory resetting in BL Mode, it would say "Device seems to be corrupt, you need to format this in windows", but yes, it did remove everything from it anyways.

Problem installing carbon rom 4.3.1 over maximus hd

Hye. I installed maximushd rom few weeks ago. Now i wanted to install carbon rom but each time i flash it from recovery it fails.
I also installed miui rom. It flashes fine and boots. But i cant access my sd card. Only internal 48mb can be seen. Is there any solution for these problems?

Sure just flash the old firmware
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2322755
bootloader clear storage
fastboot flash your new custom recovery
Then load whatever rom you want and install it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
or another way, I did, just to see if I could go back if I wanted to
flashed stock recovery
factory reset from bootloader... waited for it to do it's thing.... when it rebooted to phone I held down the power button to reset it.. held down volume down to get back into bootloader.
made sure it was in fastboot usb mode
ran RUU
But that was kind of overkill.

Sure, it's not going to get rid of Soff or anything.
That only happens when you use the ****** (fastboot command that will not be named, because someone will use it and have a paperweight)

Thx for your advices !
By doing the 1st or the 2nd method, then I'll have to re-unlock via HTC Dev ?
I ask that because I want to restore with RUU and I see everywhere that I have to relock the bootloader before doing this.

You don't have to relock bootloader to run RUU on s-off device.
Just reboot to fastboot, make sure your pc can see your phone and execute ruu*.exe

Yes, that is the important bit, clear storage in bootloader when you have the STOCK recovery.
The stock recovery fixes the issues. (from what I have read on our forums)
I did it but no help ,when try RUU got 158 error ,reverted back to Maximus ,have no time to bug any more

sdcard formated

Hey guys today when I turned my phone on nothing happened it showed the htc screen then turned off. I loaded recovery and noticed that everything on my SD card was wiped. I'm thinking even the OS is gone as well because it will not boot past the HTC screen. It stays there and after about a min or so the phone turns off. Is there a way to install the stock os in fastboot?
Provide more info please. What ROM were you on? Were you on a custom kernel? Had you made any changes to the device recently? What are your bootloader details?

I didn't have a custom rom installed, I was on latest stock. I was rooted and my bootloader was unlocked. I didn't make any changes to my device
That's very odd, devices don't usually just wipe automatically. Anyway, just try mounting your sd card in TWRP recovery and copying a ROM across from your PC.

yeah it wouldn't let me do that either, I downloaded the RUU and reloaded the phone that way.
Try wiping the sdcard again and then mounting it.
