[Q] how to get back to stock rom? - HTC Butterfly

Hello.
I made a terrible mistake and i delete my entire system, whitout backup first.
my device is now rooted, with twrp. I tried a several ruu, but i can't find one for version 1.18.709.3. my cid is HTC_621.
I also tried a several roms with sense 5, but the wi-fi data can't work. Right now i have no operating system.
Do you have any ideas what should i do for getting back on stock rom, no twrp and unrooted? Kind regards.

There are original firmwares. Just search and flash

I guess i have a custom rom if i it get me in bootloader after i download updates. all i want is to have stock rom, unrooted, without twrp and to install updates ota
here is how i proceed:
downloading your rom from dropbox.
put the rom on a sd card
Open the rom zip and extract the boot.img file to the adb folder
Connect the phone to pc
opened cmd
restart phone in bootloader
type adb devices, but my device serial number arent showed here, but i have installed htc sync
Type "fastboot erase cache"
Type "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
Type "fastboot erase cache" again
Type "fastboot reboot recovery" to get to CWM or TWRP, but the command doesn't work. still, i enter manually on recover
Backup system, data, and cache but it says "failed on cache"
Factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, format system
Install the rom from sd card.

yes. relock your bootloader
from bootloader type fastboot oem lock
then you can flash the 1.85 RUU
just run the file from windows.
After that you can unlock with the same unlock token you got when you unlocked in the first place
then you can install recovery again
but the ruu requires the phone to be on and usb debugging on

Once you have them installed you'll have to reboot in to fastboot and install the official 1.85 RUU.
Also so you know I had a similar experience when I was on cleanrom 2.6 and tried to format and go to 3.0. I had to relock the bootloader, RUU to stock and install a different rom cause 3.0 would just never install for me for whatever reason, it would always bootloop back in to recovery. However I had backed up my NANDROID to my PC so I copied it back over to my SD card after I was on stock then restored it then did an in-place upgrade to 3.1 which worked. I was able to install cleanrom 4 after a wipe without issue.

I thought I made a back up of CleanRom5 when I first put it on the phone, but alas I find that I didnt.
So I am between roms with s-on. Is there a way to achieve S-off with. I can still get into bootloader, and recovery.

This seems to be a bug with 2.4.x.x versions of TWRP. If you downgrade to an old version, it should be OK, from what I've read.

I installed 2.3.3.0 and the factory reset still failed..?
errors given were E:unable to mount '/sdcard'
did you factory reset from bootloader if so you have corrupted your sd card there is a fix let me find it
I did this and this is what Xsmagical and I did to fix it.
Take the stock android recovery from a ruu or stock Rom. (I used the one from 1.85 ruu but it doesn't matter.)
Fastboot flash the stock recovery to your phone and then reboot into bootloader where you originally wiped.
Factory reset from hboot and then Fastboot flash twrp again, mount sd should be available now. Mount sd, copy whatever Rom onto sd card and flash from there.
Freaked me out too man

Don't wipe system, you don't need to wipe the internal SD Card either.
Wiping system wipes the ROM.

Download cm10.1, MIUI or something like that on your pc and copy it to your phone. If you are not s-off, you will have to extract boot.img from the zip file before, flash it via "fastboot flash boot.img" in fastboot mode and install the zip file via recovery afterwards.

Here is the ruu http://www.htc.com/us/support/news.aspx?p_id=655&p_name=htc-one-mini-att you need to be s-off. Just use the revone method. It's really easy. remove the tampered flag and change to locked instead of relock. I've done it on mines and it didn't brick my devices. I used the terminal emulator. GOOD LUCK !!!!! On your bootloader it will show locked and s-off if you done it correctly. I'm going to get a replacement today and hope that at&t won't check the s-off otherwise I'll be sad.

Question about Cyanogenmod 11

Hello guys,
I've been looking around for CM11 for my HTC One X+.
Now I've found the original CM11 on their website for HOX+, but there is one little question I got about this.
http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=enrc2b
That's the link where I've found it by the way.
There is no boot.img download, how safe is it to just install the ROM? In my opinion it isn't.
So let me know what you guys think.

Its on the official website, and It should work. Make a backup though.
The boot.img download isn't there because the boot.img is probably inside the .zip.
So open the zip and you'll have your boot.img.

Oh okay, you will need to flash the boot.img alone then as flashing the ROM zip won't just work. So boot into bootloader, and flash the new boot.img you had extracted from the .zip
Once yo uhave flashed the .img boot into recovery mode and perform a gull wipe, including cache. Once done simply flash the zip and reboot.
First reboot takes a bit so be patient. I also recommend you getting a band backup in case.

If you're coming from a Sense ROM you can't just flash the zip without flashing the boot.img. It wouldn't even boot. And sometimes it boots but without mobile signal or WiFi signal.
So just place the zip on your sdcard, take the boot.img out of the zip on your computer.. Then boot into bootloader and connect it to the computer using USB then type
"fastboot flash boot boot.img"
Then "fastboot erase cache"
(you must have fastboot installed and configured on your computer)
Then boot into recovery and flash the zip file and gapps. Oh don't forget a wipe is mandatory if you're coming from sense ROM. But if you're coming from an AOSP ROM it's recommended but you can go without wiping. I flashed cyanogen over paranoid android without wiping data and had no issues at all. But I wiped the system partition.
And you cannot S-OFF an HTC One X+.. If it's S-ON then it stays that way. Only a few amount of people have S-OFF on their HOX+.
Oh and I don't think TWRP recovery is compatible with CM11 on HOX+.. So I recommend you flash philz recovery. Flash it by using the fastboot command "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
(recovery.img should be replaced with the name of the recovery you downloaded)
It doesn't take a lot of time. I change ROMs almost every week.
Please press the thanks button if I helped!
