Mobile Data not working after Root (Sprint)? - Sprint Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I rooted my S5 about a week ago and now my mobile data isn't working. Is there a kernel or update for this?

That looks like the international version of the kernel. There is a specific one on the original android development of the sprint s5 forum. Use that as the international version has issue with data.

This is the one I have installed. When I reboot my phone it says seadroid not enforcing. Something tells me I rooted this incorrectly.

when i flashed this kernel mine said the same thing booting up. just wondering if you had the right kernel because the one in that thread said kernel version 1 and it was made before the 30th of may and yours says kernel version 13 and made on jun 4th.

You didn't. I got the same thing and I'm sure many others have as well. Did you install TWRP?

Working root for I9500UBUAMDK

A big thanks to the developer for this flawless root method for my I9500 on UBUAMDK.
The Cofface method did install the recovery but did not fully root.
This roots perfectly: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=41042903&postcount=20&nocache=1&z=5328519083559513
Curious though:
XXUAMDK: 526212
UBUAMDK: 534999
So yes, while this method will work, UBUAMDK still looks a newer kernel based on the changelist. No idea what was changed (as usual), but at this early stage, they're probably doing quite a bit of bug fixes.
I'll ask Ivan in his thread, thanks for the heads up.

May be they are just mentioning the change log in kernel and changes are made on both kernel and rom sides.
But whatever, just flashed this custom kernel and it didn't brought back the red tint issue (for me), so it should be as new as Sammy since it uses upd1 sources

I was able to get rooted w/ TWRP using Odin 3.09.
I followed these instructions, but i did not use the android-armeabi-universal-root-signed.zip, i used a different one I had on my sdcard already. I dont think it matters.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2514821
the first time i attempted it failed and replaced TWRP with the stock recovery because i forgot to un-check the automatic reboot box.
My second attempt i *unchecked automatic reboot,* unplugged the tablet from my computer *before* rebooting it into recovery, worked just fine!
Got TWRP installed just fine, but when I open SuperSU, it says there are no binaries installed.

Looks like T-Mo variant is close to getting root_ can Sprint be far behind?

I know word on the street is that devs are going to avoid the Note 5 like the plague, but according to THIS thread, the T-Mobile variant has working TWRP and may be close to root:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note5/development/dev-pre-root-firmware-twrp-testing-t3183877
Does this bode well for Sprint development as well? Let's hope.

Is there a root method for CPB6 6.0.1 marshmallow? My sprint s6 edge updated to 6.0 after a stock flash and cannot put the mods and tweaks I had previously, so until there is a root method my phone stays stock

Thanks. First boot got stuck on splash screen and I didn't wait long enough and flashed stock until a solution, but checked back in on my post and with someone stating same issue and problem resolved, flashed root again and with in a minute or 2 later booted up verifying the root flash! Thanks a lot!! And, doesn't have the annoying red kernel not se android enforcing. This does work for sprint s6 edge 6.0.1 CPB6!
