I bought a charging dock after I bought an Xperia Z last October. I was able to use it and was happy about it but after a few months, the charging from charging dock became slow, not as fast as the cable connected on my Z. Charging at the Charging Dock is frustrating so I decided to forget about it and went back to cable charging. I noticed that it started after Typhoon Haiyan soaked my Charging Dock with seawater. I dried it up for about two days and was glad that it was still charging but it's just that it's really charging slow. Can somebody help me about it?

Hello All,
I recently purchased a new TF300T, and it initially charged fine with the original wall charger. Within the past 2 weeks, I've been using my dock, and I noticed my tablet won't charge using the original wall charger. The only way my tablet will charge is I have it hooked up to my dock, and I connect the dock to the wall charger.
Everything on the tablet is stock.
Any idea what's up?
I've had this issue too, it appears that the tablet IS charging, but neglecting to mention it. I've read somewhere that it might be due to a firmware update, which hasn't been identified.
My advice is to watch it while the charger is plugged directly into the charger, if it doesn't show any charge going up then that's confusing, because if something was wrong with the charger it wouldn't charge your keyboard. :\
My cable broke, and a friend gave me his (from a TF201). It charges my tablet, both docked and undocked, but it doesn't charges te keyboard. The energy passes through the keyboard to the tab, but the keyboard itself doesn't charge at all, it's always on 0%. How can I make it charge? Thanks!
[Ignore my poor english]
Sounds like electronic in your keyboard is not working.

If you let your dock battery reach 0%, it might never charge again, you should never let them reach 0%
You can try opening it, there is a small switch on the board inside, flip it and try charging for an hour, then flip it back and try charging fully
I did it once and that worked - might have been coincidence though
Have you tried charging the dock without the tablet attached? Mine did the same thing until I did this. I just waited until the little light on the side went green. Works fine now.
Yep, i tried everything. I'll open it tomorrow to check for that switch *Detection* talked about. Thanks!
Have you tried charging just the dock trough usb for 30 - 60 minutes?
I once had the dock @ 0%, wouldn't charge on the net charger, but after "trickle" charging trough usb for ± an hour further charging on the net adapter worked.
Hi all here, would appreaciate some help and feedback on the charging problems Ive been having with my Xoom II 10" tablet, here is my story.
Recently for the past few days I have been having on/off problems with charging the battery in my Xoom II and it started about less than a week ago, or lets say close to a week.
One evening before I went to bed I decided to put my Xoom on charge as per usual and it was down to 10%, the next morning when I woke up the charge was only up to 15% and just stayed there. a day later or that evening I managed to charge and get it back up to 100% which was great than after I had used it for a while and when it dropped down to 40% I decided to try and recharge it again and I was back to square one, infact this time after charge the batt dropped by 5%. This time the charging was not stable and kept fluctuating.
I thought perhaps the Motorola charger was faulty and tried it very quickly on my Samsung Galaxy Note II and it did show that it was charging, so I ruled that out. i did deide to try and charge the Xoom with a Samsung 2A 5V USB charger and someone it seems to help and work but not all the time, once again fluctuating.
Now its got worse and today when I tried to charge it it was from 0% and went up to 20% and that was it and would not seem to hold charge at all. I took it to work with me and left it on charge and after a period of 2 hrs it still showed 20% if not dropped to 5%.
Some Questions
I have noticed near the charge port when ever I plug the charger in a white led light comes on, note that this light is near the charge port not the other message indicator LED light or notification light.
The other funny thing is when ever I plug a samsung or some generic brand charger in the xoom I get an error popping up telling me that this charger is not optimised to be used on tthis tablet etc etc, but I mean really speaking isnt a 2.0Amp USB charger a USB charger regardless of brand. I can use another generic 2amp charger on my Note II and dont have any probs at all, so sorry bit confused here..
looking forwards to your reply.
Just bought a new nexus 4 and I've noticed it takes an age to charge anyway I found another two chargers at home and on one of them it says fast charger and the cable is a lot thicker and the other is just another charger but its made by motor rolor. Now when I plug the fast charger in it says its going to take 30mins less than the original charger to complete and when I plug the motor rolor in it about 15 mins quicker than the original charger .my question is would i be doing any harm to my battery if I use the other chargers and should I just keep using the original one.

Hi I've been using the fast charge motor rolor charger and its actually taking 2 hrs quicker to charge my phone .now I haven't had a phone for a while my last device was a galaxy s2 and I'm sure it never took over 3hrs to fully charge.so I'm thinking maybe the nexus original charger was charging far to slow anyway.any thoughts on this? Thanks again
Hello i have a problem with the tablet dock
The tablet was just stored for a long time and i got a new charger because i lost the old one, the tablet works fine but the dock stays at 0% no matter what
i flipped the switch inside the dock like once or twice a day over a week but its still at 0%
I have switched the battery from the tablet wich was at 100% to the dock and the tablet got charged like no problem but the dock it still not charging, right now its at around 80% it got discharged a little over some weeks .
The keyboard works with no problem its just not getting charge or charging the tablet when docked but if i connect the charger to the keyboard while docked it charges the tablet
I hope someone can help me
Sounds like the charging circuit is fried in the dock if the battery charges fine in the tablet

is there any way to test it that you know?
Buy a new charging board and replace it
Other than asking someone with a lot of micro-electronics knowledge to test it, that's the only thing I can think of
They are so cheap now though, it would be easier to just buy another one, you can get both tablet and dock on ebay for £99, or the dock for around £40
Usually when they are stored for a long time, the batteries drain and once they hit 0%, they won't charge again, but if you say that battery still works fine in the tablet half, and the dock can still charge the tablet, then it sounds like it's the actual dock charging circuit at fault, can't think of anything else other than connections being loose between the battery and the dock
The dock battery not working properly
Hi, i have Transformer TF101 (KTU87Q KaTKiss-4.4.4_036) after some time the battery in my dock stops working (icon dock battery display still 0% and red exclamation mark)and while charging the battery dock is still flashing red light. I replaced the battery for genuine type, battery can be charged (green light while full charging - OK) BUT when I turn on the tablet, then some time icon shows 0% and red exclamation mark after that for example 96%, when the tablet battery is discharged, transfomer shuts down and the icon dock battery still display example 94% What is wrong?
I made a battery calibration but nothing has changed.
Why new replaced genuine dock battery not working?
Thank you

I recently had a dock that had the same problem. Everything worked fine except that it would not charge a known working battery. Make sure that you have the switch in the correct position. From what I recall, the switch has markings on it that show in one position "0" and the other "1", similar to a power source switch on a desktop computer. You want it in the "1" position.
Also, does the battery indicator light come on when the battery is less than 90% and you are connected to the charger? Are you using a OEM ASUS TF-101 cable and power adapter?
It may be that the dock has a hardware problem in which case the only thing that will fix it is a new board. Not really worth fixing as this is now 4+ years old and there are many devices that can be purchased brand new for the price of fixing the dock which are vastly superior to the TF101.
