I'm using the Swiftkey X Keyboard and sometimes the SlideIT Keyboard.
I love both keyboards and i couldnt get a decision which is better.
Try it!
Thumb and a.I. keyboard
From the Beast : Galaxy Note
I use Swype but have tried all the above mentioned on smaller screens...still can't make up my mind which is better though...
Keep switching between swift key and thumb keyboard myself. Slide it is also really nice.

Swype is great after mastering the short learning curve!
SlideIT is the best for me
Patos via tapatalk.
For people like me that often write in more than one languange (English and Spanish for example) SwiftKey Tablet X (or Swiftkey X) is simply the best keyboard for any device because you don't have to keep switching languages while you type, it auto detects and corrects on any language (up to three) at the same time!
I did read that there are not many themes and for Spanish are some issues with ñ character, any comments?
Both really stop my buy.

Is it possible with Swiftkey to use it only with particular apps? The default one to stay as primery and to use Swiftkey only with specific apps?

I installed touchpal, and seems like it is not scaled properly, i.e., the keys are sided to the left, instead of taking up all the horizontal span, can you tell me how to make it take up all the space? Plus, it also seems when pressing on a word that wasn't in the dictionary doesn't bring up the option to save it, can you point me to the solution(s)? Thanks ps: I'm using ics build from the chinese leak...

You can use any keyboard you have installed. Touch and hold anywhere in the writing area and choose your preferred input method. It will remain until you change it again in the same way.
Im using kingdroid rom and the keyboard came with the rom, try to swap rom...

I'm using imilka's AOSP rom, and I have the same problem with TouchPal. But I have to mention that I have the tablet interface and I changed the display density. And I'm guessing that's causing the problem! So I was wondering if you've changed the display density too? I really like TouchPal but I can't use it with the keys sided to the left!

Swiftkey 3 is out of beta and 50% off at the moment.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.touchtype.swiftkey
I've been using the beta for about a month and love it (smaller keyboard footprint and better word prediction than Swype that I have been using for 2 years).
But I just switched over to the new Swype beta as it has a keyboard almost as small as the swiftkey and pretty good word prediction (though not as good as Swiftkey).
I did buy Swiftkey3 still, just to have available if Swype doesn't get any better.
I was using swiftkey X since i got my first android phone last year. The word prediction is awesome. Will buy the app later to support the devs
It just great. Spell check for three languages at the same time. Just what I needed.

I also purchase this swiftkey 3. But the most accurate keyboard for me is Perfect Keyboard Pro.

On ICS, Swiftkey 3 Tablet (i.e.the Tablet version of the keyboard) does work on our Notes but at the moment we don't get the handy split-screen keyboard in landscape mode that tablets get. This has to do with the way devices are classified in ICS.

If you bought Swiftkey X before, you'll get a free upgrade to Swiftkey 3.
Tried it but thumb keyboard still tops for me with split layout

I consider buying swiftkey pro after reading the possitive comments on google play store and three language recognation is also very tempting to me. Do u guys think swiftkey is much better then swype ? I'm really used to swype n i wonder if swiftkey is worthy compared to swype ? Does swiftkey also support swype input just like swype keyboard does ? Which version do u recommend ? The tablet version or regular phone version ?
EDIT: I try to download the trial version first but both tablet and regular version gives me this error : Error while attempting to process the purchase [DF-BPA-09]
EDIT 2: I cleaned google play store app cache and restarted to fix market issue and now i can run trial version on my gnote so i take back all my questions
The best keyboard out there for me, it automatically recognizes if I type English or portuguese, for that alone I give it 5 stars
Oh and I do get the split keyboard in landscape mode on CM9

swift key function's well buy Perfect Keyboard has more themes though I do admit it doesn't recognise spacing errors as well as swift key but overall Perfect has the whole package. Maybe when Swift Key has more theme options ill like it.

I can type faster using Swype. Even faster if I use the S Pen.
But I switched to the Swiftkey 3 beta because the old Swype keyboard was too big on the Note. Swiftkey was the best sized keyboard I found that I could still type pretty fast on with little need for correction.
Now that the new Swype beta is about the same size as Swiftkey set to small size, I'm back using that as I can type the fastest with that.
The new Swype beta feels like a combination of the old Swype and Swiftkey to me.

Hey guys. What's your favourite keyboard? I have always been a fan of the google keyboard but gesture typing isn't always practical on a phone this size.

SwiftKey for me, simply can't have any other keyboard. The Google keyboard isn't as bad as the stock Samsung one, but I like SwiftKey because the auto correct is amazing and you can customise many things.

Multiling O keyboard is by far the best, I think. Fast, completely customizable - colors, sizes, key layout, has swipe functionality.
I've tried many, nothing comes close if you want to make the keyboard exactly how you like it...

I like the stock Samsung one with extra number row and the Google one the most.
Swype, But when I selected Swype as the default keyboard reappears while the Samsung keyboard, someone else wrong?

+1 for Kii. Have also tried the other popular keyboards, but Kii was the only one that ticked all the boxes for me.
Best keyboard I've ever used is the Samsung Stock with bobcats black glass theme I've never needed anything else for the Note 3 I did used to use Touchpal now and then though that's my 2nd favorite!
Swype, without a doubt. I've been using it since the early-ish beta and can't seem to use anything else anymore. It seems like it gets the words right more than any other keyboard. I try a different keyboard once in a while for like two minutes, but always go back to Swype, even though they need to update more and add more themes so badly!
My first custom keyboard was Swiftkey, and I loved it for a long time until I got into Swyping, though I may give Swiftkey a shot again since I think they actually update from time to time!
Swiftkey and Hackers Keyboard.
Swiftkey for everyday use, and Hackers Keyboard if I have to type a lot. (I write.)
Predictive text annoys me to no end, I've hated it since the first introduction of T9.
I can't stand Stock. Had to use it for about an hour after my reset last night, couldn't get a single word right. Also, no comma.

+1 I cant use any other keyboard apart from stock samsung and google keyboard.
If I change - the phone reverts back to stock samsung - google keyboard is the only other keyboard that sticks - swype and swiftkey don't stick

honestly it doesnt matter lol. the other person would see the emoji according to the icons on their phone, not yours.
Anyways, try downloading the AOSP Keyboard
and it should work. If it's still displaying the samsung emojis then it would require quite an extensive amount of apk modding.
You could also try the SwiftKey beta

Definitely Swiftkey!
I've used Swiftkey, Google, LG, many keyboards. Swype has been my favorite by far. If you use Xposed, the customization is limitless, and the fact it has cut, copy, and paste functions makes it better. It also has the world record for fastest texts.

LG Keyboard with Google Keyboard theme.
Google Keyboard and Swiftkey are good choices. Try both and see for yourself which suit you better...
I used stock keyboard[emoji4]
Swipe with CM12 nightly. Smooth, very accurate and precise, themable and best speak to text thanks to dragon engine. Quicksilver theme in screenshot looks pretty with dark CM12 themes.
cm 12 stable enough for g3 ?
Also yeah Swype is definitely amazing.
I wanted to ask you does cm12 have its own theme engine ?
Does it allow us to customize things the way CM11S( Oneplus one sadly no port for g3 d855 ) allowed its user ?
I mean it allowed user to modify different aspects like font distinct nav bar different and so on which I really loved a lot...
I alternate between Touchpal and Swype with there new material light theme.
