Swiftkey 3 released and on sale - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Themes and Apps

Swiftkey 3 is out of beta and 50% off at the moment.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.touchtype.swiftkey
I've been using the beta for about a month and love it (smaller keyboard footprint and better word prediction than Swype that I have been using for 2 years).
But I just switched over to the new Swype beta as it has a keyboard almost as small as the swiftkey and pretty good word prediction (though not as good as Swiftkey).
I did buy Swiftkey3 still, just to have available if Swype doesn't get any better.

I was using swiftkey X since i got my first android phone last year. The word prediction is awesome. Will buy the app later to support the devs

It just great. Spell check for three languages at the same time. Just what I needed.

I also purchase this swiftkey 3. But the most accurate keyboard for me is Perfect Keyboard Pro.

On ICS, Swiftkey 3 Tablet (i.e.the Tablet version of the keyboard) does work on our Notes but at the moment we don't get the handy split-screen keyboard in landscape mode that tablets get. This has to do with the way devices are classified in ICS.

If you bought Swiftkey X before, you'll get a free upgrade to Swiftkey 3.

Tried it but thumb keyboard still tops for me with split layout

I consider buying swiftkey pro after reading the possitive comments on google play store and three language recognation is also very tempting to me. Do u guys think swiftkey is much better then swype ? I'm really used to swype n i wonder if swiftkey is worthy compared to swype ? Does swiftkey also support swype input just like swype keyboard does ? Which version do u recommend ? The tablet version or regular phone version ?
EDIT: I try to download the trial version first but both tablet and regular version gives me this error : Error while attempting to process the purchase [DF-BPA-09]
EDIT 2: I cleaned google play store app cache and restarted to fix market issue and now i can run trial version on my gnote so i take back all my questions

The best keyboard out there for me, it automatically recognizes if I type English or portuguese, for that alone I give it 5 stars
Oh and I do get the split keyboard in landscape mode on CM9

swift key function's well buy Perfect Keyboard has more themes though I do admit it doesn't recognise spacing errors as well as swift key but overall Perfect has the whole package. Maybe when Swift Key has more theme options ill like it.

I can type faster using Swype. Even faster if I use the S Pen.
But I switched to the Swiftkey 3 beta because the old Swype keyboard was too big on the Note. Swiftkey was the best sized keyboard I found that I could still type pretty fast on with little need for correction.
Now that the new Swype beta is about the same size as Swiftkey set to small size, I'm back using that as I can type the fastest with that.
The new Swype beta feels like a combination of the old Swype and Swiftkey to me.

Swiftkey vs. Swype vs. Multitouch

What are are you using now and which do you think offers the most advantage.
Swiftkey with its learning and memory
Swype well with the swyping
Multitouch with the well multitouch lol
im currently testing swiftkey and am still not decided if only they could all be combined into a mega keyboard lol.

I've tried all three and currently using Swiftkey -- but I don't like any of them. I'll be switching back to the regular HTC_IME. I'm perfectly happy with it and it does everything I want.
Tried em all.. Liked swype the best but swiftkey is pretty nice too.
I'm a fan of SwiftKey. I've tried Swype and just couldn't get the hang of it. I still have it as an option though for an input method.
I downloaded swift key and didn't see a benefit.

I've been a huge Swype fan for a while (was even on the beta) so needless to say I'm in love with it.
I just installed SwiftKey and Droid X keyboard today. I did like SwiftKey but it takes a bit for it to start learning. It's really good though and the font it uses for the keys is awesome.
Droid X (multitouch) keyboard is really good as well. It looks good and I can type super fast on it (though no where near swype status).
I wish I could just combine all of them into one. Or at least give SwiftKey multitouch capabilities.
At the moment I'm using multitouch just for the cool factor but I'll probably end up switching back to SwiftKey and then Swype once I get tired of slower typing. Right now I just need a change of scenery.

Swype for XOOM??

I know there were some grumblings about Swype on the XOOM around release time and the team at Swype haven't returned any emails so I come to my community.
Is there any word on the XOOM getting Swype? Soon? Ever?
Anyone have a way of hacking it on? I've tried but keep getting the error "Screen resolution not supported".
Have you tried installing the beta?

Last i checked the beta didn't work on the xoom, that was the day i got my xoom too, so not sure if a new beta has been released since, but i also heard that swype had no intentions of making a swype version for the large tablets (keeping to the 7" of the galaxy tab) but those could have been hear say, just lending my 2 cents! I'd love to see a mini-swype that takes ups just one side of the screen and you use one thumb, that'd be sweet...
Still not working on the Xoom, but last I read on their forum they still intended to make it work for us.
Just go to themes and apps in this sub forum and you'll find thumb beta. It works pretty flawlessly for a beta
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA Premium App
I just tried loading it few minutes ago. No dice. But I downloaded Thumb Keyboard last night and it is a massive improvement overall the stock keyboard. I love that it splits for thumb use in landscape mode and that a long press allows numbers and symbols on the main board without needing to jump back and forth boards like on the stock.
I figure if they can't get to market, there's always the competition.
I use SlideIt. I like swype better, but it's not a bad option. It's not free though, but pretty cheap.
Thanks for all the good info! Looking into it now.....

I have both swiftkey and thumb keyboard. They're basically the same concept but I find it easier to type on the thumb keyboard thanks to its responsiveness and functionalities. Nevertheless, swiftkey interface is tron like which is wohoo nice. Though it still has more bugs to ve worked out than as of thumb keyboard

Phone keyboards won't fit very well on a bigger screen. I be tried smart keyboard too. The keys are squished down to the bottom of the screen and are longer.
I doubt that flext9 will work. But still 4.99 is still a bit too much for testing lol
Sent from my Xoom using XDA Premium App
Actually I'm using the flext9 keyboard on my Xoom to type this...
It does work Swype style, but not sure if typing is faster or swiping.
I guess it depends if you are using two hands or one to type. In portrait it seems better to swipe but not necessarily in landscape, if you have the tablet on the desk.
After 15 minutes of use I decided to keep it and still using it as my default keyboard so it can't be bad
I like the word prediction bar and the long press for punctuation... haven't tried the voice or handwriting recognition though.

TouchPal keyboard, the best keyboard for note!

SlideIT is the best for me
Patos via tapatalk.
For people like me that often write in more than one languange (English and Spanish for example) SwiftKey Tablet X (or Swiftkey X) is simply the best keyboard for any device because you don't have to keep switching languages while you type, it auto detects and corrects on any language (up to three) at the same time!
I did read that there are not many themes and for Spanish are some issues with ñ character, any comments?
Both really stop my buy.

I installed touchpal, and seems like it is not scaled properly, i.e., the keys are sided to the left, instead of taking up all the horizontal span, can you tell me how to make it take up all the space? Plus, it also seems when pressing on a word that wasn't in the dictionary doesn't bring up the option to save it, can you point me to the solution(s)? Thanks ps: I'm using ics build from the chinese leak...

You can use any keyboard you have installed. Touch and hold anywhere in the writing area and choose your preferred input method. It will remain until you change it again in the same way.
Im using kingdroid rom and the keyboard came with the rom, try to swap rom...

I'm using imilka's AOSP rom, and I have the same problem with TouchPal. But I have to mention that I have the tablet interface and I changed the display density. And I'm guessing that's causing the problem! So I was wondering if you've changed the display density too? I really like TouchPal but I can't use it with the keys sided to the left!

Best Keyboard For The Gs3?

What keyboard do you like the best? Post a screen shot of it Please!

Gingerbread 2.3 i think its called. Much better then stock Samsung. Hate how that either has auto complete or if you turn it off then you can't select a word from the list.
SwiftKey 3, easily the best unless you like to Swype.
swiftkey 3 is best imo
A.I.Type keyboard. BEST hands down IMO
I love the jelly bean keyboard. Fast and free .. Do a search on the market.
its gotta be swiftkey for me. so much customization a great keyboard and easily the best prediction software out there. takes up like 17 megabytes of ram but the s3 handles that fine. swiftkey ftw imo

I was beginning to think I was the only one that hated the Samsung one. I like the plain old stock keyboard. Whatever was on my Bionic with the leaked ICS was a great keyboard as well.
Swype Beta, so much better than the stock keyboard.

I like the SmartKeyboard PRO ! it has hundred themes that can be used and nice dictionary for every language
Depends on what I'm doing. For longer thoughts and messages like this, I use Swype Beta since its by far the fastest form of typing on a mobile phone, but for other things like web browsing, I the use jelly bean keyboard. It's easier to type passwords and URL's.

Having always had hardware keyboards it never occurred to me that I could install a different one. Trying swiftkey now and it is several orders of magnitude better than stock samsung.
I'd be willing to bet any aftermarket keyboard is better than stock.

Best Keyboard to Me...
I feel the best keyboard is between the Go Keyboard or Thumb Keyboard.
Currently the new Thumb Keyboard is my favorite, I can't find any drawbacks except not able to use swipe.
The new Thumb Keyboard uses the new text as you talk feature that is embedded with ICS.
It just works so good and if you pay for it, you will see that it works very nicely with ICS.
Furthermore, it has clean looks and customization based off how big your fingers are and how you prefer to type.
Go Keyboard is nice because you can use swipe as well as a voice input option that works pretty good. (the main drawback is that it sometimes is glitchy when using google products and the adds if you haven't paid for the app)
Another vote for SwiftKey 3 here. It's been my standard for a long time now.
SwiftKey hands down.

TouchPal VS Swype

Just curious as to how many people prefer one keyboard or the other.
Im switching between each one and im curious
Latest Touchpal
Or
Latest Swype Beta
And why?
I feel Swype beta is better predictive and more friendly to mess ups
SwiftKey is faster than all of them and provides the best prediction IMO.

Swype. However swift key is coming out with a new version that has swype ability, that should prove to be the best

TouchPal wins if only for the way it handles numbers. Swipe up for a number is genius - press and hold on Swype and Swift seems so annoying now after experiencing the TouchPal way. It doesn't get in the way of swipe-to-type (because you're swiping up into nowhere) while still saving screen real-estate.
I still have Swype and Swiftkey (and Flow Beta) installed but just wanted to put this plug in for a little-known feature that I think is killer and deserves applause.
