Sort of. When I first get into Android and tap on the blank widget to restore it, it loads up BW, and makes me re-configure everything. However, if I go into BW from the launcher (Nova), and go to Widgets configuration, I see my old widget, with the themes, and everything's configured properly. However, I can't see any way to restore that widget to my home screen. Does anyone know how to get this to work correctly?
Old post I know... but this continues to drive me nuts every time I update my rom.
You probably lost your widget? I don't know maybe.

I'm not sure how it got deleted. I'm running Damage ROM. I added the Vanilla lock screen and flashed the market app fix. Somewhere when doing this my widget disappeared.
It's the widget that you can set for all the groups of people you have configured. It has 2 types, one takes up a full screen and the other is just a bar that only takes up one column of blocks. You can scroll through and set what happens when you select their name.
Can someone up this widget for me.
Thanks!
See if you can see the "People" app in Manage Applications. If so, try clearing data. That might bring the widget and app icon back.
I've had that problem with Calendar and Bookmark widgets.
I've had this issue with the bookmark and calendar widgets as well. Just go to settings>manage applications>HTC sense>Clear data. You will have to put your shortcuts and widgets back on your screens, but the missing widgets will show up.

...and what if they don't?
I have less widgets now than I did before clearing the HTC Sense data. Not the first time I've seen this problem, either.
I found that clearing the davilk-cache seems to fix things.
I had to clear it twice. The first time brought my people widget back but made my calendar disappear. The second one brought them both back.
However, I'm not sure if restarting will cause the problem again.
Hi all,
I love changing between Roms on my Galaxy S but I hate having to restore my widget configuration every time I have to wipe. I always get the dreaded 'Problem loading widget' sign where all my widgets used to be. This is especially a problem as I have a Windows Phone 7 esque layout using desktop visualizer widgets so it takes sometimes up to half an hour to get all the screens back in order. Any way to save my configuration and restore it in the new ROM?
Thanks in advance

From what I understand there isn't really any way to back up widget settings unless the widgets themselves have an option to backup/restore the config for them. SwitchPro does this now and I think that some of the widgets in LauncherPro will restore properly if you happen to use that home app. Aside from that, you'll just have to manually set the other widgets back up.
ok thanks ill try out launcherpro i was on adw.
Hi, I am looking for a way to automatically freeze/defrost/launch an application but from the app drawer.
Titanium backup has a widget that performs exactly this way except that being a widget, it cannot be run from the app drawer.
I do not use items on the homescreen (aside from the dock), nor do I wish to. Currently using Apex lanucher.
So, the main questions are:
Is there a way to use widgets in the app drawer?
Is there a way to perform the function of Titanium Backup freeze/defrost/launch without a widget, yet more automated.
Is there a way to 'intercept' between the app icon and the launching process to auto freeze/defrost the app?
Have been searching for an answer to this for a long time. Ideally if this could be done with full automation, ie when you install a new app it automatically gets a freeze/defrost icon/link/widget/etc without having to set it up.
Any help, info, thoughts, would help immensely.
A bit of a bump as I'd be interested in this too.
There is likely a custom launcher that allows widgets in folders or the app drawer, no?
I have a sort of solution for you that sort of works (hear me out)
I guess you don'tl like the clutter that comes with homescreen widgets (me too)
Heres what i did: use nova launcher, and have multiple docks (swipe to change). You CAN place widgets (1x1 certainly) in the dock, and then just hide it away by swiping to a differnt dock.
I must admit it doesnt work amazingly well when you press it, and takes some time to work sometimes, but its kind of a work around.
I use this solution currently for my Wifi High Performance Widget (1x1), which doesnt need to be touched so its in the dock
Hope this helps
Hello, I tried posting this in the question section but I for some reason had insufficient access.
I've just installed Cyanogenmod 11 (Nightly Build) from my carbon ROM and I've installed Go Launcher Ex. Unfortunately, It requires a million other apps and it's making me want to throw my phone at the wall.
I am using the default lockscreen that the GoLocker comes with as I find all the other ones on the store absolutely awful looking and terribly made however, on the default launcher you swipe right and it brings up a page where you can change the settings of the theme, wallpaper, security, weather, settings and a clean option. Then underneath that part there is a load of app icons there and I have no way of changing which apps are there at all!! Sometimes I unlock my screen and there are 3 apps there, then when I go back to it afterwards, it's completely filled up!?!? They're really frustrating me!! If you take a look at the attachment I have, it's just a picture of what I'm talking about as I'm unable to post links or images.
The other thing that Is really bothering me is the icons such as the Themes, wallpaper, security, weather, settings and clean. They all serve not really much purpose apart from the weather one which I installed ANOTHER Go Launcher app and bought it which is a weather app and when I tap the weather icon, It just takes me to the stupid settings page for the weather options?!?!?
SO FRUSTRATING!! Any help would be saving me SO MUCH!
Hi all
I'm new to this forum so I'm still getting used to this. I'm currently having issues with the MAGI Home UI, the widgets and some icons. I know this theme is really old and built for a previous version of Android, but I'll try to get all the questions I have out of the way. I'm not sure if there's still anyone active with this project since the theme is around 8 years old.
1. The MAGI "UI show screen list" animation plays, with the rotating screens. However, when I tap one of the screens, the animation continues playing in the background despite the screen already set into place.

2. Some of the issues for the widgets are that it is blank. This happens for the news widget, the user phone number widget, and the weather widget. For the weather widget, I think you have to download some kind of app, as tapping it takes me to the Play Store, but it's just stuck on a loading screen. If anyone knows, please tell me what app I have to download for the weather widget to function.
