Missing "People" widget - Hero CDMA Themes and Apps

I'm not sure how it got deleted. I'm running Damage ROM. I added the Vanilla lock screen and flashed the market app fix. Somewhere when doing this my widget disappeared.
It's the widget that you can set for all the groups of people you have configured. It has 2 types, one takes up a full screen and the other is just a bar that only takes up one column of blocks. You can scroll through and set what happens when you select their name.
Can someone up this widget for me.
Thanks!

See if you can see the "People" app in Manage Applications. If so, try clearing data. That might bring the widget and app icon back.
I've had that problem with Calendar and Bookmark widgets.

I've had this issue with the bookmark and calendar widgets as well. Just go to settings>manage applications>HTC sense>Clear data. You will have to put your shortcuts and widgets back on your screens, but the missing widgets will show up.

...and what if they don't?
I have less widgets now than I did before clearing the HTC Sense data. Not the first time I've seen this problem, either.

I found that clearing the davilk-cache seems to fix things.
I had to clear it twice. The first time brought my people widget back but made my calendar disappear. The second one brought them both back.
However, I'm not sure if restarting will cause the problem again.

Invisible widget

I'm just wondering if anyone has similar problem as me. I got a weather widget that disappears. It's still taking up space but is invisible. How do I know this you say? Well when you hold your finger over an empty space, it pops up the app screen in which it allows you to place shutcuts and widgets or set wallpaper. But if you place your finger on a location with an icon or widget you are able to move it.
The invisible widget area won't do anything but a reboot usually makes it reappear. I've even force close the app of the widget and still does nothing.
The widget I'm having problem with is weatherbug widget. I don't like the how the stock widget is taking so much space. And I don't need duplicate information on my screen. I just want an accurate weather and some other weather information. I don't need the city and date and time...I have time on the bottom right corner already and calendar widget shows date already. Why does weather widgets want to show you unnecessary information? And a lot of them aren't accurate. But this weatherbug is OK app, I usually do not like weatherbug on PCs but the android app is not annoying.
I had that with CNN widget, it's only happened twice, but still a bit weird
They're called zombie widgets, and you can clean them up using an app called elixir.
same thing happened to me with the youtube widget, but only once so far.

Pure Calendar Widget?

I just got a Skyrocket, coming from an iPhone. I had Pure Calendar back when I had an original Droid so I downloaded it again to my Skyrocket, but I've got a problem.
No matter what calendar grid I choose, part of it gets cut off. Not sure if it's an issue with the Widget, or with Go Launcher, which I'm using.
Anyone have any ideas?

Do you have the grid size changed?
I do, but I still have it 4 icons wide (5 high).
Does Go Launcher allow you to resize any widget? I use Nova Launcher and I had the same problem, but just resized the calendar until it fit perfect.
I have not seen the option to resize widgets individually, only an option that is supposed to scale widgets to whatever grid you have set (for the record, the problem exists with that option checked or unchecked).

Press and hold the widget until a menu comes up then tap resize

Yeah, figured that out after I said it. I ended up putting my screen at the default 4x4, putting the widget on, then resizing back to 5x4. Seems to have worked.

Beautiful Widgets doesn't restore widget configurations

Sort of. When I first get into Android and tap on the blank widget to restore it, it loads up BW, and makes me re-configure everything. However, if I go into BW from the launcher (Nova), and go to Widgets configuration, I see my old widget, with the themes, and everything's configured properly. However, I can't see any way to restore that widget to my home screen. Does anyone know how to get this to work correctly?
Old post I know... but this continues to drive me nuts every time I update my rom.
You probably lost your widget? I don't know maybe.

Stock weather widget disappeared from widget list!

Hi,
I have a very strange problem with an S6: The built-in weather widget was accidentally deleted from the home screen and when I tried to restore it, it was nowhere to find in the widget list! All other widgets are there (clocks, alarm, bloatware) but no weather (yes, I scrolled to the last page). On a different phone running the same Marshmallow version (though an S7), it's right there in the widget list, simply called "weather".
The built-in weather app ("weather forecast") is still there and can be launched from the app menu, so it's not deleted or something (it can't be deleted anyway, since it's a system app), it's just not showing the widget in the widget list. I tried to reset touchwiz (clear data) and it restored the factory home screen - containing the weather widget! Still it doesn't show up in the widget list .. Also that's a bad solution because the factory home screen uses the 4-tile weather widget including a clock, but I want the 2-tile version, which has to be selected from the widget list. What else can I try to restore this widget except a complete factory reset (which I really want to avoid)?

Personalize locksreen

Hi,
Is there any way to personalize the lockscreen (withou installing a new lockscreen app)?
I'm having issues with the meteorology app, beacuse it is always requesting GPS.
Or is there a way to stop the meteorology app from using GPS and just use a city choose by me?
I don't want it accessing the GPS all the time. I've already took it away from the homescreen but I haven't found a way to take it from the lockscreen.
Question 1, no not without installing another launcher. The icons on the LockScreen are the ones on the Dock.
Question 2, I would check in the Meterology App Settings, something along the lines of Location, Default home or something like that. Hard to tell when no one knows exactly which app you are referring to. Most likely look in Settings.
Hi,
Thanks for the answer and sorry for not being explicit.
I was talking about the weather app that comes with the phone.
If I add a new widget from that app to the homescreen I can choose a specific city but the widget on the lockscreen keeps updating using GPS.
If i use another weather app on the homescreen, the one on the lockscreen will not change and it will still be the one that came with the phone.

Basically the same applies. Go into Weather app, Menu(3 dots), Settings and unclick Auto detect my location.
It was the first thing I did!
