I'm just wondering if anyone has similar problem as me. I got a weather widget that disappears. It's still taking up space but is invisible. How do I know this you say? Well when you hold your finger over an empty space, it pops up the app screen in which it allows you to place shutcuts and widgets or set wallpaper. But if you place your finger on a location with an icon or widget you are able to move it.
The invisible widget area won't do anything but a reboot usually makes it reappear. I've even force close the app of the widget and still does nothing.
The widget I'm having problem with is weatherbug widget. I don't like the how the stock widget is taking so much space. And I don't need duplicate information on my screen. I just want an accurate weather and some other weather information. I don't need the city and date and time...I have time on the bottom right corner already and calendar widget shows date already. Why does weather widgets want to show you unnecessary information? And a lot of them aren't accurate. But this weatherbug is OK app, I usually do not like weatherbug on PCs but the android app is not annoying.
I had that with CNN widget, it's only happened twice, but still a bit weird
They're called zombie widgets, and you can clean them up using an app called elixir.
same thing happened to me with the youtube widget, but only once so far.

I'm not sure how it got deleted. I'm running Damage ROM. I added the Vanilla lock screen and flashed the market app fix. Somewhere when doing this my widget disappeared.
It's the widget that you can set for all the groups of people you have configured. It has 2 types, one takes up a full screen and the other is just a bar that only takes up one column of blocks. You can scroll through and set what happens when you select their name.
Can someone up this widget for me.
Thanks!
See if you can see the "People" app in Manage Applications. If so, try clearing data. That might bring the widget and app icon back.
I've had that problem with Calendar and Bookmark widgets.
I've had this issue with the bookmark and calendar widgets as well. Just go to settings>manage applications>HTC sense>Clear data. You will have to put your shortcuts and widgets back on your screens, but the missing widgets will show up.
edit: poop

Click to collapse
...and what if they don't?
I have less widgets now than I did before clearing the HTC Sense data. Not the first time I've seen this problem, either.
I found that clearing the davilk-cache seems to fix things.
I had to clear it twice. The first time brought my people widget back but made my calendar disappear. The second one brought them both back.
However, I'm not sure if restarting will cause the problem again.
Has anyone else had issues with this App?
Weather & Toggle Widget
I can use every aspect of the app except the MOST important feature,
The flip clock /w weather widget.
If I long press my desktop and select the "Weather & Flip Clock" widget, enter my zip or let it find my location (both don't work).
After I save there is a little grey box on my screen that just says
"Loading Data..." where the widget should be... It doesnt matter how long I leave it, it never loads into the widget. I have to long press it and drag it to the trash to stop it.
Anyone have any advice?
Use Beautiful Widgets instead, Weather Widget has bugs.
I got it to work. I had to un-install and re-install. All is well.
how you've done to fix it ? jsute re-install because on my x10 i can pick zip code or location and there is no meteo on the widget
tryed to reinstall but no
is it a donation one or a cracked one ?
Can anyone suggest a weather widget, or even know of one, that is JUST the picture/graphic of the weather? I'm going minimal these days with my homescreens and need something to match. Seems every widget has a clock or forecast for the next couple days, etc. I simply want, if its sunny, a sun. If its raining, rain drops etc.. I've seen similiar ones for the moon phases etc, but can't seem to find anything for weather..
Any help? Thanks folks..

Well am not sure this is rom related but if you going into the widget selector and scroll down to weather there are 3 of them in there with 2 small ones.
You don't say if you even bothered to look at the phones selection of widgets.
These are from beautiful widgets. You can turn off the background so all you get is the weather. It's in the market if you want it.

Thank you ^
Going to check it out in a few. Wonder if I can edit that to remove the text(temp, high/low) somehow. Is it simply removing a line of script in the file does anyone know?

BW has an lwp that displays just the weather.

Weather bug has a nice small widget.
As I said with the stock weather widget you get several small ones. This is the smallest on that is available without having to buy anything.
simi clock has a minimal weather widget too.
strange issue...on a couple of my pages i have 'dead' spots in the sense that i can put any widgets or program icons there...it is as if there is an invisible widget there (they are the size of widgets and not program icons)...almost as if i need a screen refresh...it might be the result of me deleting widgets from the 2 pages - i don't recall which widgets i might have had there and subsequently deleted...any help to get rid of this odd issue would be appreciated...i am probably overlooking something obvious
Sometimes it's because the widget has a large border and the widget icon is just normal size. The way around this is installing a launcher like ADWLauncher EX. This will allow you to edit the borders of most widgets and shrink it down if necessary.
Also you could have a dead widget occupying that spot after you uninstalled the app. Sometimes the devs don't add a line of code that deletes the active widget off the screen but instead just makes it transparent. Try long pressing in that spot and see if you get the trash bar to appear. If so just drag it off to the trash.
Also are you trying to load an icon or widget into the space close to the edge of the screen? If your running the stock launcher it reserves a large portion of the sides of the screen.
if you look a the placing of certain Widgets some are on the dots some are between them, they take up 2 squares
I thought i had tried the long hold garbage can trick but it worked this ttime..yeah
Thanx
Hi all
I'm new to this forum so I'm still getting used to this. I'm currently having issues with the MAGI Home UI, the widgets and some icons. I know this theme is really old and built for a previous version of Android, but I'll try to get all the questions I have out of the way. I'm not sure if there's still anyone active with this project since the theme is around 8 years old.
1. The MAGI "UI show screen list" animation plays, with the rotating screens. However, when I tap one of the screens, the animation continues playing in the background despite the screen already set into place.

2. Some of the issues for the widgets are that it is blank. This happens for the news widget, the user phone number widget, and the weather widget. For the weather widget, I think you have to download some kind of app, as tapping it takes me to the Play Store, but it's just stuck on a loading screen. If anyone knows, please tell me what app I have to download for the weather widget to function.
