OK, where to start. I've been searching forums and the internet in general trying to find a way to mix and match Fancy widget & Beautiful Widgets to get the desired effect I'm looking for.
I've been trying endlessly to find a way to get Fancy widget to open up Beautiful Widgets Forecast when I touch the weather icon and there seems to be no easy way to do this (if it can be done at all).
Now, I must say I have tried Fancy Widget, Beautiful Widgets and Weather & Toggle Widget and so far I love the look of Fancy Widget, love the look of Beautiful Widgets Forecast and didn't like Weather & Toggle Widget at all.
I have noticed that the Forecast app/add-on does appear in my Recent apps when I long press Home; so I was wondering if anyone would be willing to help me figure out a way to get Fancy Widget to see it as an app when choosing an app to open when touching the weather icon.
Also, Beautiful Widgets by default brings up the Alarms section of the Clock app but I can only get Fancy Widget to bring up the Clock app instead of directly bringing up the Alarms section. If anyone knows a way to achieve this also, I'd greatly appreciate it.
I'm just wondering if anyone has similar problem as me. I got a weather widget that disappears. It's still taking up space but is invisible. How do I know this you say? Well when you hold your finger over an empty space, it pops up the app screen in which it allows you to place shutcuts and widgets or set wallpaper. But if you place your finger on a location with an icon or widget you are able to move it.
The invisible widget area won't do anything but a reboot usually makes it reappear. I've even force close the app of the widget and still does nothing.
The widget I'm having problem with is weatherbug widget. I don't like the how the stock widget is taking so much space. And I don't need duplicate information on my screen. I just want an accurate weather and some other weather information. I don't need the city and date and time...I have time on the bottom right corner already and calendar widget shows date already. Why does weather widgets want to show you unnecessary information? And a lot of them aren't accurate. But this weatherbug is OK app, I usually do not like weatherbug on PCs but the android app is not annoying.
I had that with CNN widget, it's only happened twice, but still a bit weird
They're called zombie widgets, and you can clean them up using an app called elixir.
same thing happened to me with the youtube widget, but only once so far.
Sense 3.0 is great and all, but every time I unlock the screen, it tries to show some cheap little weather animation, is there a way to disable this? I have dug through some settings but to no avail.
Touch and keep holding the clock/weather widget
Drag it onto "Edit"
Select your city
Remove the checkmark on "Show full sceen animation"
An alternative would be deleting the mentioned widget.
Hopefully I was able to help you with my first post on xda-developers.com...

Cheap weather animation?? Do you know that almost all other android phones are dying to have the smoothness of that what you called cheap weather on the S4G... Anyways, im not sure I understand where you are seeing the weather animation but here are the possible solutions:
1) If you are trying to disable the weather lockscreen, then just choose another lockscreen. (Personality > Lockscreen > Choose anything other than weather)
2) If you are trying to disable the live weather wallpaper, then just choose another wallpaper that isnt weather (personalize > Wallpaper > HTC wallpapers for example)
3) If you are trying to disable the weather animation caused by the flip clock, then from within your home screen, tap and hold the clock and drag it down to Edit. Select current location (if desired) then uncheck (Show Full screen animation)
Good luck to you...

This did the trick, thanks very much!
Thanks. I wouldn't call it cheap but it is annoying for sure. Nice to show off but gets old quick.

Hello partners
I'm Seeking for a widget like beautiful widgets, transparent weather clock, etc which shows time and weather (weather is not essential) and allow to perform actions by touching a part of the widget (the hour, the minute, the city ..) and allow it without unlocking the phone (I mean the swipe security screen lock).
The problem with these is that I put is that not allow to execute actions ROM, gravitybox, etc, only allow launch installed applications.
Buzz widget allow actions, but pressing the entire widget, so you can only put one.
My idea is for example that if I press the minutes do toggle wifi, if I press the hours toggle sound / silence, etc.
Any ideas?
I've tried many (Beautifu widgets, 3D widget, Bright weather, Go weather, Transparent weather, Weather & clock, Weather xl, zooper, buzz, uccw ..) but none fits both needs or I am not capable of it.
Another idea that occurred to me is to find a way to make shorcuts/activities appearing on the list of installed applications but I don't have found a way to do it..
Greetings and thank you very much
beautiful widget

Hi
Beautiful widget don't allow to launch shorcuts or activities, just installed apps
Try Chronus. You can set up on-click-actions (open apps, open popups, executing shortcuts) when clicking on parts of the widget (clock, weather, ...). Great in combination with Popup Widget.

Thanks mate I'l try Chronus
on the other hand, I'm at work right now and I can't see the youtube Popup Widget video and the google play description is very lacking (at least for me)
Could you please tell me what Popup Widget 2 does?
Edit: AFAIK is to have launch widgets via icons, isn't it? So you save space in the screen

Basically, you can create popup widgets (using every available widget from your device's apps), that can be bound to gestures, icon clicking, shortcuts and more. I would recommend to try both Chronus and Popup Widget when you have some spare time (up to 2 hours will be enough, I guess).
For example, if you create a swipe up gesture, you can launch your favourite music player widget, which will just pop up in a pre-defined area.

Great!!!
What app gestures do you work?
I'm using gesture-navigation which is great but unfortunately seems that will be dead in a close future.

Most custom ROMs (or even some launchers, like Nova Launcher) have in-built gesture support.
Hi,
I have a very strange problem with an S6: The built-in weather widget was accidentally deleted from the home screen and when I tried to restore it, it was nowhere to find in the widget list! All other widgets are there (clocks, alarm, bloatware) but no weather (yes, I scrolled to the last page). On a different phone running the same Marshmallow version (though an S7), it's right there in the widget list, simply called "weather".
The built-in weather app ("weather forecast") is still there and can be launched from the app menu, so it's not deleted or something (it can't be deleted anyway, since it's a system app), it's just not showing the widget in the widget list. I tried to reset touchwiz (clear data) and it restored the factory home screen - containing the weather widget! Still it doesn't show up in the widget list .. Also that's a bad solution because the factory home screen uses the 4-tile weather widget including a clock, but I want the 2-tile version, which has to be selected from the widget list. What else can I try to restore this widget except a complete factory reset (which I really want to avoid)?
