Since it is located in /data/media/.
My previous devices had a separate partition for it.
I just wanna confirm before I do something stupid (or spend a precious hour backing it up)

Since nobody answered my question, I am here to answer it myself:
The internal storage (/data/media) somehow did survive a data wipe.

Hi,
just a quick question, does the xoom support a 64 gb sd card?
thanks
I tried, Xoom to my knowledge supports only upto 32 GB external SD

Yes, you can use a 64gb sd card in it as long as it is a sdxc. The one thing i will note however is that the xoom won't format it directly (recovery might, but i never could get ics to format the bloody thing.) You will probably have to use another phone, or a pc(which has additional complications) to format it.

I was trying to dual boot with bootmenu and when i install a ROM, i tried to install all of my apps with titanium backup and it said i did not have enough space. So i was wondering if dual booting takes up a lot of free space?
Okay, so yes and no is the answer. When you use boot menu and two ROMS, one ROM is on the normal phone memory and the other gets put in the place of the webtop partition. Which is why you make a backup of the webtop when you do so. So yes, the ROM running in the place of webtop is VERY limited on space as I believe the webtop partition is BARELY over a gig. However, your normal ROM hasn't changed as far as space goes.

It's done through boot menus main menu. And man of you're asking how to do this, you probably shouldn't be.

Hi,
I have some questions regarding encryption.
Are there any downsides to encrypting an Android device?
What about encrypting SDCard, will CWM still be able to mount and read it?
Last, after encrypting a device is it still possible to update the rom normally through CWM?
Cheers.
If you encrypt your phone, CWM will not able to work.
Backup/restore functions cannot de their job...

Yes.. thats right.
What do you mean? Will CWM be deleted or is it just the rom updating? What about factory resetting in CWM?
CWM will not be able to mount System partition, nor Data. So factory reset option will not work at all...

Oh. OK, thanks!
One last question: is it irreversable?
It let me decrypt my phone... Agreed i encrypted memory area only. But there should be the option to decipher it...
Takes more than encrypt, but CWM will work again as it should do

I'm not quite sure what you mean? How is it done?
Cannot remember... It shows up ONLY if you already encrypted the phone...
Well, i think

OK I got a question I searched a bit and couldn't find the exact answer ... I've been wanting to wipe my internal sdcard since I've been flashing roms but afraid I'll have missed something and loss it forever ... I've got plenty of backups so I can always revert back but want to get rid of all the garbage that gets lost in the mix between flashing ROMs ... Besides my photos is there really anything important that's stored only on my internal sdcard??? Thanks for the help and hope this hasn't wasted forum space

Do you put your downloads and music on the internal or external sd? It depends if you put music etc on there as well. Also idk if 4.2 sdcard0 issue will matter to you or not.
I got my stuff saved on my external just was curious is there was anything system wise or anything specific that I'd need to backup or save

I think your good. Ive done it plenty of times with no issues, also you said you have plenty of back ups so I don't see any problems arising.

So it is a gt-p5113 wifi only model running 4.1.1 from samsung. All of the sudden it is closing out of apps while they are being used any idea whats causing this. She did not do a system update or anything of that nature a lookout scan shows its good. I'm at a loss on this. Any help would be great.
