Here is a Cyanogenmod 7.2 Rom!
I built it directly from Cyanogenmod so no worries!
I recently got a Samsung Infuse so I wont be testing these myself before release, but I see no reason why they would cause any problems. I wanna keep you guys updated and such so I most likely WILL do weeklies. As I said before though... CM7 wont drastically change... But it still nice to know your on the latest version
I take no responsibility for anything that may happen to your device.
This is a direct Cyanogenmod Repo Sync and build! Happy Flashing! ^_^

Ill try to do weekly builds. But I'm not sure how much CM7 will change due to CM9 in the works.

how did you compile that? using the nightly or another source ?
thanks

Its the Cyanogenmod repo... So I'm guessing nightly

No, it's using the same thing that n260 is using. When I first flashed n260 a while ago, the GPS worked fine for me for a while but eventually would stop getting a lock. If you run into problems, you should be able to flash the older libs to fix it.
soooo...who has tested this? Stability compared to n260? I don't have the time right now to test
Stability is fine liking the disable boot animation option makes boots super fast

Same here. After 3 days of usage - stability is fine.

Only good things for me so far.
Big Thanks !!
So far so good over here. Was having a problem with Drowning's kernel, dropped data connection after a while. It's all good right now.
Flashed this puppy.....couldn't resist. So far so good. Thanks for this.
Your welcome... just got an infuse so idk how often I can update what little I have for the aria...

Very nice. Also +1 on disabling boot animation. Where would I be w/o ROM manager and Titanium pro...

Thanks for the build, running great.
Just flashed it and works great so far. I agree, the Disable boot animation feature speeds up the boot a lot!
Are there any other things that have changed that I could make use of or somehow realize?
Thanks man!

Thanks for the tip! That is great! I was missing this so much that I installed another Dialer which I didn't really like but I still used it because I want the T9 search feature. Awesome, these two things alone are worth updating
How is everyone's battery life on this build?
I did a full wipe of data/cache/dalvik and formatted my sdcard when I installed this and I have to say my battery life seems to be better than it has in a long time.
great release... I typically always run some Quadrant tests and saw marginal performance improvements (only 2% @768) compared to the CM7.1 final.
The big improvement I noticed was on GPS lock, which was significantly faster than with 7.1.
Thanks for a great release.
I just bought a Nexus 5 and I was wondering which is better: CM11 nightlies or just having rooted stock FW ..
Which one is faster? (bootup time, app launch times, smoothness)
And am I really missing any features when staying stock?
This http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=46344624
It's really up to you to decide which is better. Cm will probably have more bugs than stock but maybe they're ok for you

I prefer stock because of the difficulty of porting the Google Dialer with Caller ID by Google

I flashed just about everything and settled on stock. cm11, purity ROM, sanity, slim, you name it. Stock with xposed is great. On any custom ROM, I lost LTE and still don't know why. Gravitybox is just about the same as running a custom ROM, too.

I dont see much of a point in owning a nexus if you are just gonna throw Cyanogenmod on it.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app
I would probably stick with stock if I didn't require voice+ app by cyanogenmod. Until hangouts come with full Google voice number support sticking with CM11.
CM11 really isn't that buggy with current nightly, it's incredibly stable. Also the fact that it's a continuous work in progress is plus. You never know when stock gets updates.
Other than that I would use paranoid android when that comes out or pacman.

Or like any other Android phone. Almost every major Android phone has Cyanogenmod ported to it. I don't personally understand the appeal of buying a Nexus phone to then throw on the same custom rom that you could run on literally any other Android phone. I guess if you are off contract and absolutely love Cyanogenmod for some insane reason. . . . .
As said on a non nexus the cyanogen team really shine, to be honest I'm loving cataclysm ROM at the minute. Close to stock but has just enough customisations for me

thx for your reply! i like cm very much. but i figured there would be the disadvantage that cm updates will take a little longer than google (which was the other way round with samsung). maybe this will change since google is sending out dev-previews of new major releases now.

I will never use CM again, and will stay away from CM variants if at all possible.
You're talking about 2-3 days here. If that worried about it, go back to stock until CM updates. That's what I did for 4.4.3. I was already in bootloader flashing the new modem, so figured I'd just flash the rest.

Just letting everybody know that their has been a Tesla ROM developed for Clark. Their is a test version only right now but its still bad ass! Go to android file host and search it. I'm sure we will see it posted to XDA sooner then later.

Chop chop and double twist are working on it. I've been running it for the last few days now, and it's my favorite ROM. The 03/12 build is better than the 03/13 build. The 03/13 build was chewing up my battery.

Nope, you have to move them manually.
I tried it for a day and it seemed very unstable and buggy. But so was Broken OS, and PureNexus. I don't know if it's my phone, or just the ROMs becoming more unstable than they were in February. I haven't found a DD yet.

Yeah :/ I had really high hopes. At times it seemed great. I wished there was a way to turn their theme from holo blue to red! I've been using black and red themes lately. I wish I could remember the specific issues I had with this one. I know Broken would be working fine, then just crash, and not power up again. Pure nexus only had 3/4 of the features working, and had all the notofication and scrolling lag that the CM ROMs have. Who knows. Could be my device.

I'm leaning toward it being your phone. Broken ran great for me as did Pure, with the exception of the music bug.

Do you mind describing how it was unstable and buggy? I need feedback in order to fix issues. It's running very well for me right now. And I'm working on porting EAS from bullhead as well

I apologize, but I can't honestly remember now. I can't remember if that was the one that would have apps close on me, or open on me without any input, or why I used the word unstable and buggy. If I say something is unstable and buggy, it typically means I had significant issues, beyond the normal one or two things that just don't work. But I unfortunately cannot remember.
I would like to note however, I noticed that restoring my apps and data with TiBu seemed to be causing some of my issues with the ROMs from that timeframe. Because I flashed the same purenexus build twice, once with restoring apps and data, and once by reinstalling everything from the play store, and noticed a huge difference. Using TiBu was much buggier, on the very same build. So it might have been that.
Link??
Restoring system data with TB can cause all sorts of weird issues. I strictly use it to restore apps/data for everything else, but not system data.
Sometimes it helps to wipe internal storage too when moving from one rom type to another (ie, stock based to aosp).
I haven't tried tesla rom yet, but may give it a shot in the future.

Anyone else having the 2 below issues or do I need to clean flash again...
1. Holding recents for last app will flip to last app then open recents (not just flip to last app). I tested this over and over with same result.
2. Google maps works but I can't see streets. The GPS showed I was home but nothing else
I'm rooted on stock with twrp, wanted to install some tweaks for the reboot menu and status bar and I know we need xposed for it.
Can anyone guide me as to how to install it? I've read tutorials but wanted to ask the people here. I'm new to this phone.
Much thanks

good info, im just not sure why people use xposed as opposed to a custom ROM with the features that theyre looking for baked into the ROM
Because sometimes, there are many things "cooked", and if I need 1 or 2 mods, then I don't need to deal with all the bugs that came with custom ROMs.

thats pretty fair, but i dont really get many (if any) bugs with custom ROMsif installed correctly. Im not bashing xposed, i just think that custom ROMs are the way to go for my taste
plus, in my experience, using xposed on a stock rom is better, you don't have to deal with any bugs

It can screw things up fast and often! Haha. I use XPosed purely for boot manager and greenify. Those are safe on any rom. Unfortunately there are so many modules you can use on your phone that aren't meant for it. If you're not happy to screw things up to learn what works than it can be a huge headache. Lol. I gave up screwing with many of the modules. Oh. I also use it for no ads and background play for YouTube.

no, im on resurrection remix nowadays and very much miss the TW camera. I ran MOAR for over a year and wanted to try out the AOSP ROMs that everyone was ranting about, and i rather enjoy several things about RR, but the camera is rather lackluster on AOSP. TW ROMs have access to the stock Samsung camera, which is awesome!! I really havent found much that just WOWs me about AOSP vs MOAR other than the fact that MOAR isnt being updated anymore (yes, you jsut witnessed someone remind themselves about why they decided on something that they had totally forgotten LoL) I spent a little time finding out if one could port the stock TW cam to AOSP, but apparently its not possible
