Just letting everybody know that their has been a Tesla ROM developed for Clark. Their is a test version only right now but its still bad ass! Go to android file host and search it. I'm sure we will see it posted to XDA sooner then later.
Great news!
I really liked their rom and used it on my Samsung Galaxy S2.
It was awesome!
But I'm already used to moto display, chop chop for flashlight And double twist for camera...
Will be hard to switch to AOSP for me ?

Chop chop and double twist are working on it. I've been running it for the last few days now, and it's my favorite ROM. The 03/12 build is better than the 03/13 build. The 03/13 build was chewing up my battery.

Nope, you have to move them manually.
I tried it for a day and it seemed very unstable and buggy. But so was Broken OS, and PureNexus. I don't know if it's my phone, or just the ROMs becoming more unstable than they were in February. I haven't found a DD yet.

Yeah :/ I had really high hopes. At times it seemed great. I wished there was a way to turn their theme from holo blue to red! I've been using black and red themes lately. I wish I could remember the specific issues I had with this one. I know Broken would be working fine, then just crash, and not power up again. Pure nexus only had 3/4 of the features working, and had all the notofication and scrolling lag that the CM ROMs have. Who knows. Could be my device.

I'm leaning toward it being your phone. Broken ran great for me as did Pure, with the exception of the music bug.
Alpha release is up on their G+ page.

Do you mind describing how it was unstable and buggy? I need feedback in order to fix issues. It's running very well for me right now. And I'm working on porting EAS from bullhead as well

I apologize, but I can't honestly remember now. I can't remember if that was the one that would have apps close on me, or open on me without any input, or why I used the word unstable and buggy. If I say something is unstable and buggy, it typically means I had significant issues, beyond the normal one or two things that just don't work. But I unfortunately cannot remember.
I would like to note however, I noticed that restoring my apps and data with TiBu seemed to be causing some of my issues with the ROMs from that timeframe. Because I flashed the same purenexus build twice, once with restoring apps and data, and once by reinstalling everything from the play store, and noticed a huge difference. Using TiBu was much buggier, on the very same build. So it might have been that.
Link??
Restoring system data with TB can cause all sorts of weird issues. I strictly use it to restore apps/data for everything else, but not system data.
Sometimes it helps to wipe internal storage too when moving from one rom type to another (ie, stock based to aosp).
I haven't tried tesla rom yet, but may give it a shot in the future.

Anyone else having the 2 below issues or do I need to clean flash again...
1. Holding recents for last app will flip to last app then open recents (not just flip to last app). I tested this over and over with same result.
2. Google maps works but I can't see streets. The GPS showed I was home but nothing else

I recently got a Samsung Infuse so I wont be testing these myself before release, but I see no reason why they would cause any problems. No, it's using the same thing that n260 is using. When I first flashed n260 a while ago, the GPS worked fine for me for a while but eventually would stop getting a lock. If you run into problems, you should be able to flash the older libs to fix it.
soooo...who has tested this? Stability compared to n260? I don't have the time right now to test
Stability is fine liking the disable boot animation option makes boots super fast

How is everyone's battery life on this build?
I did a full wipe of data/cache/dalvik and formatted my sdcard when I installed this and I have to say my battery life seems to be better than it has in a long time.
great release... I typically always run some Quadrant tests and saw marginal performance improvements (only 2% @768) compared to the CM7.1 final.
The big improvement I noticed was on GPS lock, which was significantly faster than with 7.1.
Thanks for a great release.
There's an article from geek.com/androidpolice.com outlining Focal, a new camera app from the CM team. It seems awesome, especially for our device which has always had issues with the camera as compared to the stock camera app.
One of the best parts is that it is modular, so any dev can enable special features specific to our device, like zero shutter lag that we don't really get on AOSP camera app.
Just thought I'd share with you guys!

update from the focal apk: it runs. overall works. focusing is meh on this device, everything looks kind of faded. it has issues connecting to the camera after a few tries...
anyway, i would only recommend using the apk for fun just to try it. there's obviously a crapload of bugs left that the CM team are already aware of, and they're working tirelessly to fix them.

Was very excited when first heard of this, figured since I'm using the unofficial CM build for this (SilverL's 4.2.2) that we might see it integrated into one of the builds.
Guess there are more issues than it's worth and we likely won't be seeing it fully operational?
Surprisingly its not just our device that its really buggy for. Other legacy devices are having a hard time getting it to work, and we're always waiting for the sensation to get fixed so its worse for us.
However the issue is with the focal app itself. I don't blame the cm team. They're going through a lot of awesome stuff right now, and I believe they're writing the focal app from the ground up, as compared to before where they were building on the aosp camera.
Anyway point is that its buggy for all cm users. Especially legacy devices.
But time fixes all bugs
Oh good, hope! I still love our "legacy" device more than 80% of the current tech that's out there, so glad I haven't had to buy a new smartphone in so long!

I'm using CM11s port 1.4 on my Nexus 5 this is what I noticed : (clean flash)
- Battery is consumed on sleep, no CPU wake up
- Lockscreen's battery percent doesn't match the system one
- Proximity sensor does't work for checking when to wake up or not
- QuickBoot : the phone goes on this mode, no way to boot again unless I use Power+Vol buttons
- HDR mode should work on this build (1.4) but it doesn't, I have to flash the fix for 1.2 and lower
OnePlus said there're fixes for battery drain in the way...(OTA but when...)
I really liked this ROM, even with less features than the original one ... Knock code in native would be great ! with ElementalX.
the issues are expected, its a port. by nature, ports will be buggy and have issues. but who knows, maybe they will eventually fix them, or not, the next android version will probably be out long before everything works on the port.
One thing to remember is that this is not a port. It's CyanogenMod M8 with added apps and some minor build.prop edits. Any problems you experience are CM problems.

Oh snap! It's that time of year again, kids.
What time, pappa Digitalhigh, what time?
Why, it's MIUI time, children!
What is MIUI?
MIUI is a Chinese ROM. Well, not just any ROM, but the most widely used ROM in the damned country.
Essentially, it's *kind of* an IOS clone...but not really. Or maybe like, if Android and iOS got drunk enough one night to get busy, and that resulted in some kind of bastard wunderOS that has a lot of the sexy sensibility of iOS, minus all the stick-up-the-buttedness that comes with it. It has a full suite of custom software, is 100% themeable, and gets weekly updates.
And it's fast.
Now, as this is my first ever release of this for the M8, please be patient as I get settled into MIUI on this device. As the days and weeks progress, I guarantee you I will be spanking in every goodie I know about for MIUI, and some others I've learned about since then.
In testing so far, I know audio, camera, video recording, phone, and 3g/LTE data work. 3G may be a bit spotty as this is based on GPE and I haven't gotten the data drop fix in yet. But it works, and it works smoothly!
I have yet to test bluetooth, headphones, etc...but this is based on the GSM version by @JTJTJ here:

Edit 1
--------------
Make sure you do a full wipe before flashing rom including internal storage. Cell coverage is spotty and creating a miui account from set up does not work. Connection to WiFi takes a while the first time but eventually connects. Headphones, speakers and bluetooth do work for me, how ever certain parts of the ROM are still in chinese

Hello fellow XDAers,
I am waiting for MIUI 9 to drop so we can pull that into the kitchen and cook. I am going to attempt to work with the new system, I haven't ported anything after Jellybean. So with that, I wanted to see who was on-board to potentially want to try MIUI.
Two things; One - I am not saying I am for sure going to be successful, but I will try. 2; MIUI 9 release date is expected to be end of May or early June 2017.
Feel free to have a discussion of MIUI here, I will also use this thread for small updates in regards to MIUI.
--- Small Post Update ---
MIUI 9 ?
Here is a small list of features to potentially look out for in the new version of MIUI. This is a leap forward into Nougat from MIUI 8.
Multi-window support
Quick-reply from notifications
Optimised dose mode
RAM optimization
Improved data saver
Always-on VPN
Call screening feature
Dual space feature
Dual apps
I have honestly never once run a MIUI ROM. Im not quite the flashaholic i used to be (especially now, as finicky as the v20 seems to be), but i could be game for flashing it a few times to kick the tires, see how it rolls.
Am i to understand that it does not have a home screen/app drawer for stock launcher ala iOS? it does retain androids ability to change launchers?
Is there anything "must see" on MIUI? ...not so much eye candy·· I don't care about bling so much, im all about that utility.

Hello! We have all been there with the flashaholic syndrome. It's a fortunate disease ? the V20 is a unit that is quite more finicky than most, but surely not the worst.
Initially, this will be a project starting off with the 918 and working into other variants as I relearn Android and what the new systems look like. It is a launcher that emulates that of an iOS landscape. Yes, you still have all of the ability of changing launches, etc. Must "see" would be animations, style, small 'functionality' pieces like that of the battery bar rather than a battery icon and so on.
It's more or less a eye candy piece of OS rather than something slim, although it is still smaller than a factory image. More "bloated" than a aosp rom but still functions greatly under the right environment.

Collaboration is better when its on big projects. something like miui wont need a collab. Now if you do get stuck then sure ill certainly help.
Would love to have someone seriously try to get a stable Miui going. Ran it back in my old Droid X days and really enjoyed it. Good luck and I hope you can do it.

Added some minor information to OP about Miui 9 itself.
