Error "invalid battery" - Milestone 2 Accessories

Hi all, first I would like to start the thread clarifying that I already searched the forums for the solution for this problem.
See, I have a MS2 with two batteries, one generic and one original. Today, I was using the MacGyver method to flash an sbf back to stock rom, and when it finally ended, I realized that the phone was not showing the battery percentage, and said the battery was invalid, (impossible, it came with the phone). So, I thought changing the battery for the generic one would solve the problem, but it didn't. I've tried deleting battery stats, dalvik cache, reflashing the sbf, changing roms (CM10, CM10.1, CM10.2) and still no solution.
Thanks, and sorry for my extremely poor english, it's been a while since I used the language for the last time.

[Q] My Sensation turning off !

My sensation is turning off randomly. Its very strange i think. sometimes turns off 2 -3 a day sometimes 5 - 10 times a day and sometimes never. i tried to fabrication reset but it cant help. after the reset it starts again in couple of days. My battery is about % 70 but after the turning off it says battery is % 6. then i restart my phone it turns normal % 70. I m not rooted my device yet. Today i spoke with support service they say try to use in safe mod. i used and my device doesnt turns off. but it could be coincidence. I dont know what to do. Any suggestions ?
hi, i have same problem, i am using official rom. i have found this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1160054
but there is no confirmed reason or method to solve this problem.
does anybody have an idea?? is it software or hardware issue?
soft-reset? hard-reset? or other rom??
help somebody please
I've also had this problem, I discovered that it was what I suspected, the battery. I took advantage and bought a new evo3d battery.
Already spent a month and never had this issue again.

I had the same problem, did a factory reset, a new ROm at the store and nowthey gave my phone a boardswap. i hope that helps....
Same problem here, but not with every Rom and only with the Anker battery... not with the officale htc battery.
i am using official htc battery, official android, now at version 2.3.4, sense version 3.0 and software number 1.45.401.3
i am not sure if flashing other rom helps and if no, i have a problem, bcs with flashing unofficial rom, it breaks warranty.
I try out various ROMs and various kernels including stock rom and kernel. The result was sometimes worked well for a while other times it turn off short time after installation. Turning off some things like wifi, bluetooth and making an underclock the processor helps the phone to hold up better. In my case, having less than 30% of battery life make a call the phone turns off immediately.
This has happened to me on sense miui and cm7 :/

Root your sensation and flash another rom, it seems like it's a software issue. Also, unlocking your bootloader is what voids the warranty, but there's a way to relock it as well (so if you do get any problems, all you have to do is install the RUU you initially had and relock the bootloader and no one will ever know it happened )
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300
Here's the thread with the guide to unlocking and relocking your bootloader
Hope this helps
I tried to flashing many roms but it didnt help. I think battery cause this problem. I will buy new battery but not htc`s battery.

[Q] CM9.1 giving me headaches like no other....

I have an HTC Sensation which i S-Off'ed , rooted, and installed vanilla CM9.1 on last Friday. And for the past 3 days, it's been having TERRIBLE random battery drainage, and even turns off on it's own (which is really annoying me). I've had these problems on and off when i was using the original Stock ROM, so i thought that installing CyanogenMod 9.1 would fix it, but NOPE, it just wouldn't let me go. I have ClockWorkMod Recovery (the latest version) and i have wiped the battery stats, wiped dalvik cache, formatted the system partition, reset the phone, heck i even re-downloaded and re-installed the WHOLE thing over and over again, and it STILL can't set itself straight.
Can anybody help meh?!
By the way, i don't keep Wi-Fi always on, and i have no Mobile Data plan, so that's not on, plus i really don't use the phone every-day, which negates the possibility that my usage is the fault. And i checked online for help, one way was to update the firmware, didn't work. Another way was to put cut a part of a business card or paper and just stick it above the battery to hold it in place, which didn't work when i was on stock so I'm not trying that again (Also, HTC, if you're reading this, you made a beautiful phone with the Sensation.... SO WHY U HEFF TO GIFF ME TRABBOL?)
Something else to be noted is that i used the SAME methods and files on my bro's phone and his is perfect, although my guess is that it might be something to do with the fact that my phone was a Vodafone UK branded one and his was completely unbranded one....
Also, I'm trying to get my hands on an Anker battery, but until I get it, I've only got you all, so help me...... pretty please? lol....

LOL...CM 9??? You should give CM 10.1 or CM 10 a try, but you have to update the firmware first. Did you follow the directions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767
If you flash firmware 3.33 you can flash CM 10/10.1
If you want a super rock solid ROM i would try Bruce's CM 10 here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1782009
CM 10.1 is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1782009
ARHD (ICS) is awesome also: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1098849
Although I've never tried CM 9, CM 10/10.1 should be a huge update. I think it should improve battery life as well.
Thanks for the help

[Q] Return to stock rom due to never ending reboot?

Hi
So I have a sensation for a year.
Never been on stock rom.
I tried a lot lot of custom's rom, but I am always ending having the same problem, the phone reboots when someone's calling, or writing a sms.I know it must be a memory problem like I read here and there.
It depnds on the rom, I am now on revelation from sebastian, it's the best I had, 2 weeks without reboot, but since last month it came back, 10 or 15 reboot a day, sometimes 10 in a row.
I have a battery Anker 1900.
On firmware 3.33
I have tried I think everything, from services.jar file (which applies on revelation rom) to factory reset, but nothing.
So now, should I go back to stock rom, will it resolve my problem ?
thanks!
No idea?
Try switching to performance or userspace CPU governor.
If this occurs with every ROM, you can do an ruu and go stock from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1672425
Happy to help.
Ok thanks i'll read your link!

[Q] Battery indicator stuck at 1% in unofficial CM11

Since I cannot yet post in the development section, I'll hope to have some response here. Upon installing the unofficial CM11 mod in combination with pink kernel, I came across a stubborn bug: the battery indicator is invariably stuck at 1%.
A clean reflash (even /system format) did not help. I flashed back the stock ROM, wiped everything and reflashed the CM11 with no difference so far.
Has anybody got an explanation/bug fix? Thanks in advance..

I had this same issue even in stock ROM... just let the battery drain completely til the phone switches off and then charge the phone and boot... it worked for me... :fingers-crossed:
I had this happen to me on stock as well the first day I owned the phone. Left it on the charger all night and on less than ten minutes of use the battery showed 1%. Charged back to full and haven't seen it again. I think server people have experienced this bug.

[Q] After flashing modem firmware my OPO gets rellay hot + bad battery

Hi guys,
Yesterday I wanted to install Carbon Rom on my One Plus One. After the installation failed ones I noticed that I maybe should also flash the CM12.1_15.05.15_modem_firmware.zip. But also with this flashed first the installation of the Carbon Rom failed in TWRP. So I decided to go back to the newest CM12.1 Nightly.
For me, yesterday, nothing went wrong with CM. I flashed cm and the pa gapps. All ran and worked fine.
Today I noticed that my battery life is really bad. At least badder that before. I lost 40% of battery in 5 hours with not much use. Maybe is deep sleep broken or so.
And finnaly I also noticed that my phone got really hot. I attached an screenshot from Aida64.
Maybe that temperatures are normal ... I havn't just Aida64 on my phone before ... But for me that temperatures look very high.
So my final question is: How can I flash back the original modem software?
Can my bad battery be caused by the other modem software?
Hopefully someboddy can help me.
