Warning: If you are using this app on a device that is running an OEM skinned Android (Samsung Touchwiz, HTC Sense, etc.), do not expect perfect compatibility. As explained below, this app works best on devices running ROM's that are close to AOSP. (Cyanogenmod, Paranoid Android, AOKP, Slim, and all other derivatives).
Description
Fontster allows you to easily change the system wide fonts on your Android device within a well designed Holo UI. In order to use this app, your device must be rooted. What makes Fontster special is that it will replace all font styles used by the operating system. Unlike other font installers that only replace a few of the font styles, Fontster will change all styles resulting in a consistent look across all text. This means that practically all of the typed elements throughout your devices UI will be changed to your desired font, including the keyboard, digital clock widget, web pages etc.
Features
• Font installation
• About 150 full font families to choose from (more are constantly being added)
• Font previewing (try out fonts prior to installing)
• True Font Display (font names are show in their actual font)
• Backup and restore fonts
Compatibility
Fontster works best with devices running close to stock (AOSP) builds. Therefore Nexus devices tend to work great with this app. Although the app has been tested and confirmed to be working on some other non-AOSP devices (Samsung Touchwiz, etc.), it is highly recommended to use caution (make backups) and be prepared for things to go wrong if you are using a non-AOSP device.
Open Source
- Fontster has been developed in a fully open source nature
- The code for the app can be found on GitHub
- Feel free to contribute to the project by submitting pull requests

Strange I havent seen any Nexus 4 users having issues. Did the problem only occur once, or is it happening every time you install a font?

Hi @Chromium, great app works very well on my Galaxy S2!
Just one thing can you please add for prevent a bad handling, confirmation pop-up for backup/restore fonts?

This is an ongoing developer project to make way for a modification that will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the experience of your phone. I know you've seen tablet mode roms before, they change two lines in your build.prop file which you could easily edit yourself in seconds and maybe throw a keyboard in there to make it work better. It's a start, but this ain't enough. This thing has potential, but it is wasted the moment you try to stuff a full blown tablet into your poor phone. Yet we all know our high res phones can very well handle more than silly 1-column layouts. So the magic must be in between somewhere, a place that Google must have overlooked and left blank. Yes, this rom strives to drop your device into tablet mode, but it won't stop there, it will reshape and redefine ICS to make it all a useful addition and not just a cute novelty. we're calling it: Hybrid Mode, best of both worlds.

That's actually pretty slick.
wow!! nicely done!!
I would give this a try, but the HTC keyboard is a must. No keyboard on the market even compares. Paid or free.
However, thanks for the hardwork and I hope you get the responses from the XDA community you expect. I think you will.

Just one reboot so far but I lost the entire nav bar on the bottom of the phone. Its very nice I will try it again as she matures more thanks for the new look I like how the menus open open up all the way
Hmm, still looking into this reboot thing. Working with the ParanoidAndroid team atm, hopefully I should be able to dish out something epic within the next few days!
Too many reboots for me, so I had to restore but really loved the look and idea of this rom after playing with it for a while, keep up the good work bro

Take your time
Just downloaded this but seems ppl reported some reboots I will wait for new version Really love idea! take your time we will wait
Hi Gtj94, look great.
Is it have feature to switch between Phone UI and Tablet UI like Paranoid ROM, and Hybrid settings support Per App Layout (PAL) and Per App Density (PAD) ?
Really love Paranoid rom on my HD2
This rom made love my sensation again.
After playing with it for about 4 hrs, i must say that it looks promising. speed and responsivness are good ( antutu [email protected]). bugs that i found: after installing an app from (play store or from sd-card), it gives you a reboot and it`s saying that mobile network has problems. in settings>phone gives reboot.
It seems like the reboots are the only problem here.
You did a great job and i`ll use this as my daily driver

This is an ongoing developer project to make way for a modification that will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the experience of your phone.
For more information about PARANOIDANDROID please check this website
Features :
PAL, First time in Android history that Per-App-Layout has been realized
This rom features a setting called Per-App-Density - PAD. It basically allows you to scale apps, make them bigger or smaller. This is a must for tablet mode since it shrinks your apps considerably, making them useless. you can even scale widgets and framework components like the navigationbar. You can define an apps native DPI with it, make it look stock, smaller or bigger than that, your decision.
All apps are depicted at DPI 182 per standard. No other rom has that feature right now
Google Play does not allow density changes and will stop working if you mess around with that. This rom fixes that problem for you 100%.
More stuff: Recents window closer to stock, fixes for overlapping elements, framework fixes, no crashes, working Phone (looks 100% like stock aswell),Sense 4 Recent Apps too etc.

This app will make Theming your phone as easy as tapping on a button. The concept is easy:
You tap the MOD you want, and my app will apply it for you. Currently there are about 20 functions, but I am willing to improve the app even more. Now it is your turn! Test it on your device and let me know what you think, if you are not very happy, tell me, if you are, tell me too. This is a communitiy project, so lets see how far we can get and create more hot features as the possibility to use your own backgrounds (Settings as an example) for the system, with just a few taps, and no computer required! This app needs Root! This App can now run on versions below 4.0, BUT it can leed to strange things
Wait! If you download this app, please do write a review here or in the Play Store!

Are these all the changes which are included in the flashable zip (so ticking every option would be like flashing the zip), or are there some extra features?

Basically at the moment it is kind of true. Not really because at most points you can choose and do not have to use the one I would have picked! And remember it is not final, just Beta, so people can test the Way it works.

I just noticed a big thing that needs to be fixed, update will come today.
tested on aokp #40
- all animations doesnt work
- after reboot, google account was remove
- cant back to original framework
- spinner not smooth
good job!
ok, played enough with some of the option. Now, how can i go back to default options?
All animations seem to work correctly except the spinners, sometimes it gives me the blue ics one but sometimes it shows an ugly Orange box!
Other than that no issues so far, everything seems to be working fine. Nice work.
It Would you be nice If there was an option to change back to your default settings

I see mention of a menu with settings in it but cannot find it. How do I access the settings? The screen shot in the OP shows the three dots menu icon at the bottom right of the screen, but they are not present on my device. I only see the usual Back, Home, and Recent options. This is on a Motorola Razr M, 4.1.1.
List view is in the settings(layout as list) then set grid width to 1.
If you don't have access to the menu then you cannot access the settings, ill have a look into that to see if theres anything i can find to fix it...
I included a screen shot from my RAZR M so you can see the absence of the menu.
I also installed this on my Nexus 7. No menu there either

I love the concept! However, here are a few features I would be pleased to see implemented:
Padding adjustment choice
Option for swipe left/right grid like launcher (iPhone esque)
Customization of titles
Color customization
Add/delete pages
Thanks

there is some customising of tiles if you long click them.
With the padding option, are you referring to between the tiles, or around the edge of the screen?
Re: [App] Grenade Launcher - BETA
Firstly liking the I idea here, also can't add shortcuts.
And I have a few suggestions:
1 Adding the ability to have widgets on screens
2 home screen change
3 customizable app screen transition effect and look and feel
4 customize color schemes
Again liking where it's going nicely done

I'm sorry, but this thread is just for an app I've developed for @JoshBeach to be used within his JellyBomb ROM. Unfortunately I don't offer support for the ROM. I would suggest visiting the ROM thread and asking for help there. Sorry!
It was recently brought to my attention that several of my apps are being pirated and in some cases quite heavily.
In order to combat the piracy I've opted to add a few minor security features to my apps. I've pushed an update to the Play Store that should start rolling out as an update here shortly. There's nothing crazy with the new security features but it's hopefully enough to deter a few of the pirates.
Users who are using the free version or a legitimately purchased pro version should see no difference in the security settings.
There are a bunch of other big updates coming as part of this update though!
Thank you to everyone for your continued support!
