The last few months I have a problem where my battery would go from 20% to 12-11% to 0% just in a few minutes. I don't know what's causing this problem or how I should fix it. Did anyone have this problem and knows how to fix it?
Thanks.

Have you tried recalibrating your battery? That helps with the random skips in battery percentage.

What's the best way for doing that? Because I've searched in TWRP for wipe battery stats but I couldn't find anything.

Download battery calibration app from Playstore. Wait till your phone is completely drained and turns off. Plug in charger and dont disturb the charging cycle till its complete 100% and then open the app and press the calibrate button. Worked for me on several occasions after flashing roms.

Ok thanks. And will every calibration app work? Or what's the one you'd recommend?

I used battery calibration app by the creator NEMA. try out whichever works best for you.
I have the same problem with you but to be honest no battery calibration app worked, even the mentioned one. The problem is that your battery capacity got lower the last few months. After calibrating my battery my phone switches off from 20% to 8% to 0%. before that it was 15% ->8%->1%->dead.
the proper solution is to buy a new battery to be honest.
BR,
Thanos
I've just calibrated my battery but I noticed something odd. I read that when your battery is full it should be somewhere around 4200mV but mine is more around 4000mV. Is this OK? Or should the best solution be getting a new battery?
I still have my warranty until October this year. Would HTC replace the battery for free or isn't this a part of the warranty?

Okay...?
The majority of the people here have rooted.
It won't help. I have deleted the batterystats on mine phone more than 20 times in the last 3 days and there is no change nor hope!
Let me rephrase by saying your ROOTED phones battery stats might be lying to you.
And for the guy who tried it three times and failed. I don't think you took the time for fully discharging the phone. That's right I'm calling BS.
Anyway got to go my battery just dropped 30%
Just wanted to let you guys know that this is completely true in my case. The other night around 2am I went to sleep with the battery around 68%. When I woke up 4hours later for work my phone was turned off. I then plugged it in and my battery was at 0%.
I was on the perfect storm Rom. I then switched to das bamf. Still happens. Tried bump charging and 0-100 charging and its helped but when I reboot the phone the battery shows about 7% less then where it was.

I think that is thy the stock battery icons don't show an exact %, b/c they haven't been able to make it work right. Don't worry though i believe that the devs will get it before HTC.
Ok my battery was just now at 50%. I restarted and now showing 41%. I don't know what's going on.

As I said, you can charge and discharge all day long, it won't help!
Thank you for reposting this. So sick and tired of people complaining about dropping 10% in a few minutes after a full charge.

I think this is a glitch. It drops like crazy after restart but then stays there until it "catches up" I guess.

So far,I have only rooted my phone, not a custom rom. I either have a crappy battery life, which seems better when I shut 4g down, or there is a glitch on the metering. My .02 worth.
After a full charge to 100%, my battery reports that it holds that 100% charge even through heavy usage, for up to 30 minutes. Anybody else noticing this weird easter-egg?
I noticed this too

Happened to me too. Infact, before the udate, my battery was 80%, after update and reboot, it showed 100% for quite q while and then it started dropping.

+1 same here... Before 78% after new ROM 100% removed battery stats... But no cigar
Maybe this will help..
Remove battery stats.
Plug to the wall charger when the phone is off and let it charge for let's say 5u
Sent from my HTC Sensation xD
I've heard that it's only a good idea to wipe battery stats when the battery's fully charged, not before.
I charged the battery full, calibrated it and now drops normally. Current widget shows me very high consumption, I don't know is it works normally with dual cores.

Definately something strange going on.
I charged my phone up fully last night, took it off charge and went to bed.
This was the battery usage in the morning. Trying to work out why it shows awake and screen on for the entire time.

That's a misleading image.
What that data means is this: of all the energy expended DURING THE NIGHT(according to the photo 1-2%) the energy lost was because the phone was awake at some point, and the screen was on. It DOES NOT mean that your phone was awake/screen on all night. Just that the energy lost during the night was because the phone was awake/screen on for a miniscule portion of the night (somebody texted you or something). Nothing to be distraught over.

It seems to work for a lot of people.
i calibrated, wiped batt stats and then fully discharged and recharged, nearly a week later im gettting back to normal levels, i was also hanging on 54% for like 4 hrs then phone would just power off
Can anybody help me with this?
I am having some kind of charging problem ..i tried different roms but didn't work...i guess the voltage goes high after a 2-3 hour charge...but the battery percentage doesn't ... i guess its only the battery percentage indicator problem... because i am happily using my cell for 12 hrs after 2 hrs charge... Is this a motherboard issue?

Hi,
Try charging differently.
If you are using a wall charger, then, try using the PC/laptop to charge.
Or vice versa.

OK thanks i will give it a try
Tell us if it helped.
You can also calibrate the battery turning it off, charging it to 100 then booting into recovery and deleting the battery info (option under the advanced menu) and then booting and going through the entire charge.
AW: Battery charging issue..!!
My battery is full loaded by 4215 mV - i had also wrong readings for% and i was on CWM Touch Recovery. I flashed TWRP recovery and the readings and load is ok.

I guess its not the battery issue ... but anyway did it work?
My phone won't show that it's charging, but it is and it won't go past 50% I even factory reset it and same thing. Anyone else having this issue?
Are you using the charger and USB supplied by OnePlus?
Are you plugged into the wall and not charging via USB?
Yes and yes and still nothing.

You'll have to recalibrate your battery, drain it complete til its turns off. Hold the power on, it'll boot and turn off to make sure its flat then recharge, it should take it til 100%

Don't do that to much, it lower the battery life and won't help much the best is to not over heat and don't let it drop less than 25%.

Nope i somehow fixed it...used an app called battery calibration it said it was possible to calibrate battery below 100% and that worked...
I gave up on this, I simply traded my phone for a G3, the guy I traded said he would fix it, since he has his own shop.
Hi,
My new Lg G Pro 2 stay at most 5 hours....
I can see strange battery stats from time to stay and collecting battery info..
one time I see +100 hours and many times I see 4 hours to stay..
I did everything.. wiped it many times and flashed the correct kdz through my imei and nothing changed..
I'm still on kitkat hongkong..
rom version v10d..
thanks
which app is using the most battery % when you check in the settings?
if it's varying that wildly, it sounds like media indexing or something similar.
nothing abnormal i assure u...
If nothing abnormal in battery stats , your battery gone bad. Replace and see
purchased a new one still the same problem
I think this is due to that the battery usage settings is based on the 3-hour usage pattern.

If you leave it on standby for 3 hours then check the estimated time remaining, it would give really high numbers.
If you use it heavily for the past 3 hours, it would show low time remaining.
I Charegd It to 100% and slept..when i waked up next day I found it 80% without any usage....
