Hi,
My new Lg G Pro 2 stay at most 5 hours....
I can see strange battery stats from time to stay and collecting battery info..
one time I see +100 hours and many times I see 4 hours to stay..
I did everything.. wiped it many times and flashed the correct kdz through my imei and nothing changed..
I'm still on kitkat hongkong..
rom version v10d..
thanks
which app is using the most battery % when you check in the settings?
if it's varying that wildly, it sounds like media indexing or something similar.
nothing abnormal i assure u...
If nothing abnormal in battery stats , your battery gone bad. Replace and see
purchased a new one still the same problem
I think this is due to that the battery usage settings is based on the 3-hour usage pattern.

If you leave it on standby for 3 hours then check the estimated time remaining, it would give really high numbers.
If you use it heavily for the past 3 hours, it would show low time remaining.
I Charegd It to 100% and slept..when i waked up next day I found it 80% without any usage....

I can do?
Your phone usage is extremely heavy as indicated by the battery graph. You'll have to scale down your usage, no rom or kernel can improve much with this kind of heavy usage.
Ok tahnks, but i think there is any conflict or something
Install battery monitor widget and look inside in 1-2h who eat your battery.

That might be caused also by a widget.
I had installed a clock widget(don't remember the name).
When I fell asleep with 100% charged battery,in the morning the phone had just 20~25%.

I don't think the adb daemon will eat up *that* much battery, mine has never ever encountered such a high battery drain even though it's enabled all the time.

the battery starts to spend when active data (2G) or wifi. 10% every hour if I have wifi or data assets and off the phone just.
If they are not data or wifi battery does not spend much.

Theoretically you are right. Mine is also ON all the times. But in his case seems to run 50 minutes out of 5h and in normal situation you will never detect this service as long as you are not USB connected to PC. Am i right?
Exactly, in this 5 hours im not connect the phone to the pc
True. But by right it should not start unless it is plugged to a computer, so now the question is what's making it start? I would hazard a guess at anything that may use adb, for example aLogcat.
Okay, the problem is that coverage of my town is very very bad, and the phone is constantly looking for coverage. took 1 day in another town and still I have the 5% of the battery, almost 24 hours. problem solved, thank you very much mates
Everyday i wake up to use the bathroom then unplug my battery from charging. When i usually start my day i have about 97% battery. Heres my battery when i got up today. I am completely stock.

My understanding is that the battery drops fairly rapidly from 100% to 95% before stabilizing to a slower, more controlled drop
I think this was detailed in the Synergy ROM thread

It might be because you are in cell standby a lot, are you in a low signal area majority of the time? Checking for signal 41% of the time, might account for the battery decreasing so fast.
It also seems that the international phones are getting a firmware update to address cell standby battery drain, but I don't know if it pertains to us in the U.S. http://blog.gadgethelpline.com/samsung-seeds-firmware-update-fix-cell-standby-battery-drain/

No, usually most phones will charge to 100 then stop charging and let the battery drain a little, many phones down to 90 then recharge again. That way it doesn't harm that battery.
Now personally I always preferred trickle charging where the phone pulls just enough that it doesn't drain at all, but there has always been debates on if this destroys your battery faster.

During the night your phone charges and the drops to about 90% then up again. That is normal . Nothing to worry about.
Battery difference with "scanning always available WiFi" on/off? Anyone test it?
So currently have it on. Its suppose to use very little battery, but my WiFi keeps showing up on my battery useage with it normally at the 2nd/3rd highest battery drain. Has anyone done any testing with it on and off yet? I'm curious if they actually see a noticeable difference between the two.

Leaving WiFi on will always have a detrimental effect on battery use. More so if it's constantly scanning and not connected to anything.

You know I'm not talking about having the actual WiFi on itself right? I'm talking about in the advanced settings where it will use it to determine location when needed. Google added this feature saying it will improve accuracy and have very little effect on battery at all.

Yeah I noticed this. My 2nd day using the phone, I left WiFi on while not connected to any network, the battery lasted 5 hours, with like 1 hour screen on time.
Yesterday it lasted me 13 hours with WiFi off, and about 4 hours screen-on time. I was streaming the Laker game for like 2 hours via SlingPlayer too.

I have a Galaxy S4 SHV-E330S currently running Official 4.4.2 and only gets 3:30 mins of screen time on my phone. I lose around a percent of battery life every two hours. This is really terrible for me as it is very low compared to other S4 models considering I have the Snapdragon 800 processor, so it's supposed to have more efficient battery life, please post screen shots of your battery usage and screen time as well and the firmware you are currently running. Please indicate the specific model of your S4. Thanks!
Please post your updates, I'll be adding my screenshots soon.

There is nothing wrong with your screen on time. 3h30m is normal. And losing 1% every 2h? Come on that's really good. That's like 8,3 days standby time.....

Thanks for the post, sir. What's your screen time and what model do you have. i'ma. Bit disappointed because in gsmarena's review, it says S4 is supposed to have 10 hrs of battery life while browsing the internet. And i'm only reaching about 30% of it!

i'm currently getting 2-3 hours of SOT. not very good. right now i'm at 1h and 55min with 35% battery left. i took it off the charger at 9am and it's 4:15pm now. going to have to charge again before bed tonight. cant wait to get that extra battery. so far this battery life has been bad.
part of me wonders if LG knew this so that's why they are offering an extra battery promotion.
First cycle. I have been having mixed usage. Auto brightness LTE only. I'm at 5 hrs 25 SOT. I'm pretty happy with battery life. Phone is great so far. Way better than my old G4.
Once I get my second battery it will be more than adequate for my needs. I travel a lot for work so I'll report back how the phone does while in the air.

Day 4
This is day 4 with my g5. Everything is running fine except for my battery life. Here's some screen shots of what mine is doing. As you see I don't have a lot of time with total battery usage before I have to charge it again. Screen is the top usage but my battery life is poor. I don't know how to fix it. I could disable a ton of services but then what would be the use of me having this phone if I have to cripple it? It's sad.

I wish. Then I would have a reason for the bad battery life. The only intensive thing that I have been doing is Snapchat and Facebook and YouTube videos and ESPN videos.
First weekend, Bluetooth on all day connected to me zenwatch 2.

So I'm not the only one with really high "phone idle". Haven't been able to track that one down. I even disabled the Always-On screen just in case it was related.
I also get significant (like half the battery in 7hrs) drain from Google Maps. I left my phone unplugged over night and it ate through the battery at some point. Second time it's popped up.
