I can do?

Your phone usage is extremely heavy as indicated by the battery graph. You'll have to scale down your usage, no rom or kernel can improve much with this kind of heavy usage.

Ok tahnks, but i think there is any conflict or something

Install battery monitor widget and look inside in 1-2h who eat your battery.

if you on promethius its wifi also disable background data

Data is disabled, only enable data when i turn on the screen, and its when the battery begins to eat.

Look, you think ?

your ADB Daemon is running all the time. it is seems that your phone stay in debugging mode. I bet you have always about 20% CPU usage

Yes, i disabled debugging mode, I will try to see how it ... and tell the result here
thanks

That might be caused also by a widget.
I had installed a clock widget(don't remember the name).
When I fell asleep with 100% charged battery,in the morning the phone had just 20~25%.

I don't think the adb daemon will eat up *that* much battery, mine has never ever encountered such a high battery drain even though it's enabled all the time.

the battery starts to spend when active data (2G) or wifi. 10% every hour if I have wifi or data assets and off the phone just.
If they are not data or wifi battery does not spend much.

Theoretically you are right. Mine is also ON all the times. But in his case seems to run 50 minutes out of 5h and in normal situation you will never detect this service as long as you are not USB connected to PC. Am i right?

Exactly, in this 5 hours im not connect the phone to the pc

True. But by right it should not start unless it is plugged to a computer, so now the question is what's making it start? I would hazard a guess at anything that may use adb, for example aLogcat.

Okay, the problem is that coverage of my town is very very bad, and the phone is constantly looking for coverage. took 1 day in another town and still I have the 5% of the battery, almost 24 hours. problem solved, thank you very much mates

uptime. share your record

i am curious about achievable uptimes. e.g without reboots. because some reboots may be missed,I usually put an icon on notification bar (drocap or connectbot), when it disappear I check the recent applications and usually discover a reboot.
my record is 112 hours
usual uptime is less than 36 hours
Sent from my Milestone XT720 using Tapatalk
By uptime do you mean how much it lasts on one charge? Or do you mean how long youve been without a reboot and just charging your battery inbetween?
without reboot
I charge my nightly
Sent from my Milestone XT720 using Tapatalk
For me the longest was probably around 100 hours. I use the fjfalcon kernel so sometimes when my phone gets a lil sluggish, I reboot using adb and have to fastboot into the kernel. So I guess 36 hours is the normal uptime for me.
Not using fastboot until all these little kinks get worked out, bc I can't adb at work. Would say around 24-36. Would definately say once a day. Maybe in morning or at night bc of market hangs or just plain freezing.
183 hours and still working
It will turn out that the sdcard was the problem.
The previous almost 112 hours record, was with umount-ed sdcard (both partitions, ext2 and fat).
This uptime (almost 184 hours and counting up) is with sdcard removed (physically from the slot)
p.s. by working i mean even without warm reboot, quick reboot or whatever name is the process of system_server restarting
20 minutes. I reflash my phone a lot!
I reboot usually once week

battery life?
what bout battery life? cos im not sure if my battery is damaged or something. usually i spend most of the time in one app at a time, like facebook, twitter or read books on adobe reader. then about 1-2 hours later battery drops from full to half. is that usual?

Try recalibrating ur battery with a "battery calibration" app. i had the exact same problem; my battery only lasted 1 day at most. after calibrating, i was able to get two days worth. btw i live in singapore so our phones should be the same..... hope that helps!
My XT have a cronic issue.. i dont know why but it reboot itself averytime... my record was 24hrs with miuixt, but sometimes it reboot like 4 times in 1 hour...

I was coming up on you here real soon but turns out my wife's XT's battery is crapping out, so I'll have to pull mine to restart hers and lose my uptime. Anyway by end of day I should hit close to 175hrs.

Addtional battery Management on Custom ROMS

I realize this may be sacrilege to some, but is there any advantage to installing a battery management app like Juicedefender to a custom ROM? Or is each ROM optimized enough to not need third party apps like this... I just installed the ICS 2.3.5...
If not, are there custom kernels that can be flashed to this ROM to optimize battery more?
Thanks.
Actually, there is EVERY advantage of installing JD on any rom. JD does things no roms can do, like enable/disable connectivity such as wifi, gps, bluetooth depending on variable you chose such as location, time of day....
I use JD ultimate and this is what i usually get...JD is probably the best battery manager out there, you can couple it wil SetCPU to additionally tweak it.
On this screen is my usage for tha past day, i have 25% left and i've already have 26 hours on my battery. JD is set to keep wifi on at all time when im home. Imagine how much more i could gain if it only enabled wifi every half hour to sync my stuff.
Also take into consideration i've been uploading all my pictures to dropbox for the past 1.5 hours. When i woke up 2 hours ago, i have 43% remaining. So dropbox drained 20% in 1.5 hours

Very nice thanks, good to know at least I picked a good one...
Also what battery app is that u r using?
battery status
I don't see a point really. My screen uses most of the battery.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda premium
I dont understand how you can "not see the point". Even a save of 10%-15% gives you at least a couple more hours of up time...we all know there is no magical solution for such a hungry, battery guzzling phone, but why not make the best out of it and control what we can?
I guess I do see the point. Maybe I just don't care that much. It makes sense to try to maximize battery life, so maybe I will try it out. I don't care much for the idea of turning off data when the screen is off with manual sync times though.
buy a extra battery. or a car charger. juice defender and under volting will help but not much. just turn screen down your self and turn wifi off which leave house. i tried most bat apps there are. i don't use any now and get better life then most people. been work eight hours and I'm at eighty four percent still. that's with use lol. jd uses more then it saves

Any of you guys try that double capacity battery, if it really does give 100% more juice? I am debating over it because it also makes the phone heavier and almost twice as thick... the slim form factor and weight is one of my fav parts of this phone so..
There's a double capacity battery? Where can I get it?

I'm sure they sell it elsewhere but it is all over ebay and I was tempted:
3800mAh Extended Battery + Cover
I love my slim form so I may just get like a battery 3 pack and always keep a couple charged in the fridge or something... when I go out for a while it can easily fit in a back pocket or bag for emergency.

[Q] Please Help!!! Battery shoots up automatically.

I usually flash custom roms on my device. But my device has one unusual behaviour. When I charge my device and suppose it is 70 percent charged and I reboot my device within 20-25 minutes, the battery level shows fully charged. (100 percent) After that the battery drains within 2-3 hours. Because of this I charge my device 3-4 times everyday. This happens on every custom rom I install on my device. Should I change my battery or is it the device's fault? Please help.

the percentage increase after reboot is a htc common issue while charging
about the fast drain maybe your battery is dying or doesn't makes contact properly
check it
Thanks for providing this useful information. Do you mean using paper or something that holds the battery tight or I misunderstood something.

exactly that
use something to hold the battery and see if you still have reboots
Actually I think the paper solution won't work. He's not having reboots, just the battery is draining fast. It looks like that your battery is almost died. I think you should buy a new one. And I highly recommend Anker's one.
Thanks once again. Will try.

I didnt want to make a new topic but I have similar problem:
i switched from standart ROM to Cyanogenmod 10 nightly builds for my Sensation Pyramid (original battery, about year old).
Everything worked fine, but there is one more than annoying problem:
I charge phone to 100%, i pull charger out. If i use standard things on phone (settings, gallery etc) everything seems to work fine. As soon as I enter any applications (Twitter, Facebook, default Web Browser) it just shuts down in 20seconds or in 2/3 minutes (always some random time, i can browse web 10 seconds, it shuts down, sometimes i can do the same for a minute and then it shuts down), it doesnt reboot just shuts down.
When I turn it back on, it shows battery level ~ 9-15%. It was 100% just 3minutes ago. I charged it for hours before, so that 100% should be real. I tested with battery drain monitoring app, when i use any apps, battery drops for like 1200% every minute. Its Ok on standby mode.
When i just reboot the phone, it comes up with some random battery percentage, f.e 47%. So it can go from 100% to 7% and after reboot it goes to 47%.
I thought it might be a ROM problem, so I installed this albinoman887 ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2115520
Did factory reset, cleared cache, phone was 100% charged. But the same problem.
I dont thin its battery problem, because it was OK with stock ROM. Is there anything i can try to fix this problem without going back to stock ROM (or other Sense based ROM)?

Really no advice on this?
Im not so good with Kernels etc., but my guess is- maybe this has something to do with CPU usage? I checked with CPU Spy app, it says Internet explorer, other apps use 1566MHz. Isn't that too much?

I did everything.. wiped it many times and flashed the correct kdz through my imei and nothing changed..
I'm still on kitkat hongkong..
rom version v10d..
thanks
which app is using the most battery % when you check in the settings?
if it's varying that wildly, it sounds like media indexing or something similar.
nothing abnormal i assure u...
If nothing abnormal in battery stats , your battery gone bad. Replace and see
purchased a new one still the same problem
I think this is due to that the battery usage settings is based on the 3-hour usage pattern.

If you leave it on standby for 3 hours then check the estimated time remaining, it would give really high numbers.
If you use it heavily for the past 3 hours, it would show low time remaining.
I Charegd It to 100% and slept..when i waked up next day I found it 80% without any usage....

Phone getting warm in pocket

Hi all,
My s8 plus is getting warm when it is in my pocket but when i keep it outside , it stays very cool. Also while sleeping as well if i keep my phone under the pillow it is warm when i pick it up in the morning, i am not sure why this is happening
I have even switched on block accidental touches option, its still the same
What could be the issue, my idle battery drain is very bad as well , i am thinking its linked to this issue.
My guess is that the screen is on or coming on.
If it's not the screen IDK.
Thanks for the reply.. if the screen was turning on, it should be visible in the battery usage right, but its not , yesterday night I kept my phone under my pillow and my battery drained almost 25% .. attaching screens ..
Another strange thing is if I sum all the drained mah it's only coming around 500 mah but battery has nearly lost 40% .. what drained my remaining battery ?

Any software that's using Wi-Fi causes this. It was caused by Alcatel link app for me. I forced closed it and it was fine.
I don't have any wifi related app installed, and I am confused why it happens only when it is pocket or under pillow , I think something to do with the proximity sensor but I am not able to nail down the issue. And the battery usage is completely bonkers , it cant even show what drained the battery and what was happening that time.

Have you run a comparison, from full charge, between outside pocket, off vs inside time re: drain?
Check the apps usage list or install s.t. like Greenify or the like as a secondary check.
Install a data monitoring app and see if what processes work in the background.
I have the same problem. But then I realized that the pillow and the pocket are warm because of your body's temperature. As long as there aren't any battery drain issues, it is nothing to worry about.

If anyone is interested .. this is the battery drain if I keep my phone out .. fair drain around 5 to 6 %
I think it's AOL.
After a full reset and no apps installed , no more heating in pocket or under pillow, so it was definitely one of the apps , Android battery usage is useless i guess, it cant even track what is draining the battery.
what other battery apps track the usage of apps correctly?
