[HELP] apps disapeared and external memory was deleted - Samsung Galaxy Fit GT 5670

Hello guys, it has been several times that I had problems with my device.
Some forced closing advices often appeared on the screen and I was not able to use most of the apps of my phone. Turned off the device and then turned on, lots of apps disapeared and the external memory was completely deleted (apps, photos, mp3s and so on).
Recently, some google error advices appeared on my phone and later all gapps (Play included) disapeared.
I always tried to restore the device flashing stock ROM.
This situation is exasperating me and I would like to know the reasons of it and how to solve it. Can anybody help me? Thank you!
My device is a Galaxy Fit with stock flashed ROM, rooted (Superuser). External memory (16GB MicroSD card) was partitioned using CWM (flashed) in two portions: ext2 (2048M) and fat32. Partition was made to use Link2SD app and save most of internal memory. I also installed AdAway (non Play app) to hide banners.
Thanks again and see you soon!

Did u use cwm 5.0.2.7 (by tjstyles)? If yes, then for ur info. it creates ext4 partition, not ext2. Also, pls. mention baseband version of ur stock rom & ur country/region.

Thank you for answering me.
No, I did not. I downloaded CWM from the web and I do not remember where. Actually, I do not think that my CWM could have the same particularity (unknown till now) that tjstyles one has, because Link2SD never accepted ext4 partition (it automatically used ext2).
S5670DDKT1 and Italy, Europe.
Thank you and see you soon...

S5670DDKT1 is of India. For Italy I found this S5670XWKTO.
Its extremely dangerous if u flashed wrong stuff that's not made for our phone. Here's the right recovery which u need to start with : Clockworkmod recovery for Galaxy Fit GT-S5670.:sly:
Note: Flash this recovery after flashing stock 2.3.6 firmware & follow the procedure properly
Good Luck!
U can also search our XDA Galaxy Fit forum for right stuff
Hope this helps...!!

Thank ahmetakin and Galaxy_Rohit for answering me! You gave me important information and helped me a lot.
I recently flashed a new stock ROM (DDKT3), rooted and flashed CWM, following guide and dowloading files from these sites:
http://www.droidthunder.com/update-...ial-android-2-3-6-gingerbread-ddkt3-firmware/
http://www.droidthunder.com/root-install-clockworkmod-recovery-cwm-samsung-galaxy-fit-gt-s5670/
My phone seems to work pretty well. Are those links (and contained stuff) appropiate for my device? Otherwise, have I to follow guide and download and use stuff from links you gave me?:

What about the root?
Thank you and see you soon...

I guess u rooted already after flashing DDKT3. Btw I also have DDKT3. If still u have not rooted then tell me. I'll give u the file(~1MB size)that I used to root my FIT

When you told me that DDKT3 rom (for India only) could be dangerous for my phone, I immediately flashed the rom suitable for my country that you suggested to me (S5670XWKTO).

Ok, thank you!
Surfing on internet I found rooting and CWM files more appropriate for my rom. At the moment, my device seems to work pretty well and very stable.
I think that my problem was solved and I learned new things about my device thanks to this forum and its users!

No dude!! Not in that sense. I meant about those stuff which are not made at all for our device(Galaxy Fit) &/or if u r not sure whether the files u r using are suitable for our FIT.
Since DDKT3, XWKTO..etc. are Galaxy Fit firmwares(with different country/region), so ur phone will work fine with any of these firmwares. But ensure that they are made for this phone(Galaxy Fit) only.
& its even better to have a firmware that suits ur country/region. So u made the correct choice bro!!

Absolutely right. And the only difference between the firmwares of two different countries is, I suppose, the language support..

WoW!! nice to see a sticky for both general and Q&A for i9003
Hey nice to see this sticky here!
Anyways anyone having a problem with the official twitter app 2.1.2? If I use it for too long sometimes it restarts the phone, and I know it cant be anything else because it never happens other than while using twitter. Has happened twice to me last night and once today.
Well. Then nice to have an improvement. We can at least have a separated topic. But to have a totally separated forum is our ULTIMATE target.
Any idea when i9003 get official GB update for india??

Hi, please follow this instruction thread carefully. First flash XXKPE as described. Then, update to XXKPH. This should solve your problems.
Whew.. Ive noticed more and more users of this phone.. I hope. We have our own thread.. Because some developera like cyanogen yeam cant see our phone development.. And our phone cant even fit for any i9000 roms and kernel and even accesories e.g. Casings.. Tsktsk.. Just asking for your understanding op..

please and help me how i can edit themes ex: xxkph to jpkp5 and edit farmwork.apk......

Well, our phone is developing. It is a slow developer indeed! Our phone got a custom ROM after some months of it's release, whereas, the s2 got it;s first custom ROM just after 2 days of it's release? Fair or what? Plus, it seems that possibly Ice-cream sandwitch will not be given to our phone! If this thing is true, Samsung is gonna get it from the i9003 users! I think we should work sincerely on certain developements and all the users in XDA who wanna just make their phone 'nice-loooking' should stop making question threads. For example, Even thought htere is a thread for Q&A I see many questions in the devel. area! I think we gotta keep it clean for dev. only! The first step to be taken users! Then, I will also work on some CM7 and all!
For small request dont request by creating new thread. Its really annoying. I think really we should have theme section saperately. Because there are many unwanted requests related to theme only. Plz moderator take this seriously & make a new section for theme.
I will ask for help because this firmware does not have too many theme and thanks
Think the themes are made for XXKPH and they work fine with your FW..! Try it out and then tell me how it went about! B-)

These are already made for XXKPH and I think they can also work for JPKP5. They are the same firmware. Only thing is Arabic support is added. Just have a CWM-flashable theme in your SD card and try out the XXKPH version. If you are stuck into a boot loop, then, you can go to the recovery and flash the theme again! and , make sure your backup the theme made for your phone in the external SD card. ALso, make sure that the theme is a CWM-flashable zip!

[Q] SAMSUNG GT I9003 Firmware

*********THIS IS MY FIRST TIME ON ANY FORUM SO PLZ LET ME KNOW IF I COMMIT ANY MISTAKE********
i would love to use my phone on optimum level,so i finally decided to flash my phone Rom to
Frimware4.0.4 (Using Odin3 v1.85, latona_20110114.pit,ETC)
[Initially came with STOCK Firmware2.3.6]
After browsing some fourms, websites i did flashing (although this was my first time)and i was able to flash it.
(i am not sure whether i did it in correct manner or not) but phone reboot within a while,so i was wondering if
you guys can plz suggest me some other appropriate PDA,PHONE,CSC files which is much more stable.
so i can update the version of android 2.3.6

what do you mean by "phone reboot within awhile"? Is it that the phone keep rebooting itself?
well.. I am a newbie too but I have flashed my phone more than 100 times I guess, keep trying on XDA developers' custom ROM (because they are way better than SAMSUNG stock rom)
I think there is no such ROM as most stable or appropriate here, every ROM has its own feature(some might be laggy or buggy though) so the best way to find out which 1 most suit your needs is to test them out. You can read through the threads in Development forum, there are many ROMs there from XDA developers. See some review and comments to find the ROM best suits your needs, and follow exactly the installation guide then you should be able to flash your phone without worry
Im currently using [4.1.2] JellyBam ☄ v3.1.0 [AOKP.CM10.PARANOID] by Lolation, very smooth and kinda good battery life too
good luck flashing~ =)

Proper Tutorial for Installing ROM

guys i can't find a complete with everything covered tutorial for installing a custom rom on an |Atrix with ICS 4.0.4 branded with AT&T... i want to install JB on mine, i've rooted with cwm and BMM as well.... a proper guide would be helpful
Do you by any chance mean cwm is atrix bootstrap? If that is the case, you cannot have both at once. Use bmm to install jb custom rom. Head over to dev section.
1. There is thread how to use bmm
2. Reboot into recovery, tap android picture before it boots into default system.
3. Tap setting button and activate system 2.
4. Create size for any partition system 3-6 that you want to flash
5. Flash rom, and voila. Enjoy.

Step by step instructions are already posted in the op of every ROM thread. There really is no need to clutter the forums just reiterating the already available information. It's kind of up to you to to the proper research before trying any of this stuff. Just be sure to read over the op thoroughly because what you're asking for has already been given. If you have trouble understanding the instructions then I would strongly advise you to wait until you do understand or else you're just asking for problems.
There's also a complete tutorial on how to set up bmm that is posted in the general section. It has all the info you'll need for using bmm.
If I had a dollar for every time I said that, I'd be making money in a very weird way.

Which recovery are you using ???
Check whether the rom package ( .zip file ) is currepted or not [ try to completely extract the copy of the rom using any zip extractor like winrar . If you got any error, then assume that the file is currepted ) . That might be a your problem .Download the file again to solve it

Of course . I would like to add more battery icons as add-ons as per user's choices..
For the new version , you need to wait a little too
Anyway thank you for your support .

It's not a bug . It came due to the change in larger DPI
I already discussed about it on the main thread and I will tell you once again
Goto System/build.prop. Open it using ES file explorer and give root permissions .
Find a line like this ro.sf.lcd_density=200
Change it to ro.sf.lcd_density=240
Well reboot and the problem is now solved .
However there is always and alternative way which us to install a new dialer like Kk or lollipop dialer via play

S7562 ROM Prob - HELP...!!! High Network issue when on mobile network
Hii Alfas,
I have run into a unique problem, No matter which ROM I install now on my S7562 I have this same issue.
- Turning on the mobile network of SIM 1 takes the network away of SIM 2. My mobile is not reachable most of the time now.
No matter if i swap the sim cards the problem is still there, have tried stock Rom and other Rom's but still no luck.
Not sure what should I do and nothing on Internet I could find to learn.
Any knowledge over it??

Sorry for the late reply ,
Well I have only a couple of suggestions . You tried most of the custom roms , so that might not be a software related thing .
Anyway think about the below listed things ..
1 . Flash a baseband update of your region .
2 . Enable dual sim mode ( I don't know it will work for you or not !)
3 . Take a complete logcat of your device before switching it on (yea , using ADB ) and show it to some of the named devalopers on xda
4 . If you have the warranty , install stock and unroot it . Then give it Do Samsung supporting team .
I my opinions are not awesome but they are the only things to do

Hii,
Right, I am going to try baseband thing first and duel sim mode. No warranty my friend will see if logcat is the only option.
Thanx for your time :good:
FYI,
Baseband thing didn't work. However temperately I have solved this with your suggestion Duel sim mode and also. (Get calls on one sim on another if not reachable)
No Concrete solution so far, lets see if a new ROM with a NEW BASEBAND works...
Thanxd ur suggestion.

Well , in my experience I can say there are no custom ROMs coming with baseband files ( mainly fat.bin ) excluding pure stock . Because wrong base bands may make bad effects on different region . So it is not at all recommended by the developers to provide it to world wide users. But in some case , it is allowed ( not all base bands work on every region ).
Actually , when was this issue appeared ? Came with your device before buying it ? Or after flashing anything wrong?
Also try to flash a stock rom created for your device ( that might include all files ) and check whether that the issue comes from the sim slot due to crushing ... anyway if you wanna enjoy dual sim feature , get connected with Samsung officials

Hii,
There are custom Rom's with Basebands like SGS5 and latest CM11 with own basebands. I guess kyleopen has one too (Not Sure)
This issue started when I flashed may be Hyperx or a PMP than I tried a stock (On stock I was confused if BMJ1 was original but I flashed BMG1) after this the problem started.
Sim slot is fine I have checked by swiping the SIM cards to each other but issue is same and weird. I flashed a BMJ1 baseband recently but no luck with that.
I should try a BMJ1 full ROM as well... right?
Would like to solve it by myself, it should be the last option to go to Samsung
Thanx and Rgds

yea that was the last option . But your comment is not at all true ,
Cm11 does not containing a fat.bin . It is not required on all basebands ... I can say it without any doubt , because i was in touch with the dev of cm11 before . He had arranged everything suitable for hungarian baseband . So he requested to install that baseband and i am the one who informed him about that error . Well I don't know any thing about sgs5 rom . I don't know why he provided that .
Anyway flashing other basebands are not recomended until you change the region . This is not my words , the samsung CEO's . Also as an old user kylopen doesn't contain a baseband .

Flashed a full stock BBMJ1 firmware. At first it stuck at boot but in second run it did the job. Network error solved.
please upload some screenshots
Why can't I download the ROM??.
What installation method is via aledwin or by phone (flashing)
