WoW!! nice to see a sticky for both general and Q&A for i9003
Hey nice to see this sticky here!
Anyways anyone having a problem with the official twitter app 2.1.2? If I use it for too long sometimes it restarts the phone, and I know it cant be anything else because it never happens other than while using twitter. Has happened twice to me last night and once today.
Well. Then nice to have an improvement. We can at least have a separated topic. But to have a totally separated forum is our ULTIMATE target.
Any idea when i9003 get official GB update for india??

Hi, please follow this instruction thread carefully. First flash XXKPE as described. Then, update to XXKPH. This should solve your problems.
Whew.. Ive noticed more and more users of this phone.. I hope. We have our own thread.. Because some developera like cyanogen yeam cant see our phone development.. And our phone cant even fit for any i9000 roms and kernel and even accesories e.g. Casings.. Tsktsk.. Just asking for your understanding op..

hi freinds i need themes for my I9003 rom jpkp5 this:

please and help me how i can edit themes ex: xxkph to jpkp5 and edit farmwork.apk......

Well, our phone is developing. It is a slow developer indeed! Our phone got a custom ROM after some months of it's release, whereas, the s2 got it;s first custom ROM just after 2 days of it's release? Fair or what? Plus, it seems that possibly Ice-cream sandwitch will not be given to our phone! If this thing is true, Samsung is gonna get it from the i9003 users! I think we should work sincerely on certain developements and all the users in XDA who wanna just make their phone 'nice-loooking' should stop making question threads. For example, Even thought htere is a thread for Q&A I see many questions in the devel. area! I think we gotta keep it clean for dev. only! The first step to be taken users! Then, I will also work on some CM7 and all!
For small request dont request by creating new thread. Its really annoying. I think really we should have theme section saperately. Because there are many unwanted requests related to theme only. Plz moderator take this seriously & make a new section for theme.
I will ask for help because this firmware does not have too many theme and thanks
Think the themes are made for XXKPH and they work fine with your FW..! Try it out and then tell me how it went about! B-)

These are already made for XXKPH and I think they can also work for JPKP5. They are the same firmware. Only thing is Arabic support is added. Just have a CWM-flashable theme in your SD card and try out the XXKPH version. If you are stuck into a boot loop, then, you can go to the recovery and flash the theme again! and , make sure your backup the theme made for your phone in the external SD card. ALso, make sure that the theme is a CWM-flashable zip!

Hey Guys,
I currently have this phone and have installed the 4.0.4 ICS update from Bell. However, I just realized that I am not able to install CWM on this 4.0.4 which is very disappointing. I tried to follow the rooting procedure but I kept encountering stock boot which does now allow me to install ZIP for root/super user. One of my buddy told me that I have to downgrade. Can anybody confirm that. It seems like all the rooting procedures are only for gingerbread 2.3.4-2.3.6. If anybody can help me, much appreciated. Thx in advance
It will not work (someone correct me if im wrong) because you have the HD LTE version and this forum is for just the LTE version.

But the skyrocket is basically the HD LTE without the HD screen, these two devices are crosslisted and always mentioned in the same discussions.
Not sure if the same applies to SR HD but I would lean towrd it's similar ...
Use ODIN to flash CWM recovery (use .tar format NOT .img = search the development section "sk8.... recovery")..Check only auto reboot in ODIN and click PDA tab and point the browser toward the .tar recovery then click start ... It will reboot automatically ...
Reboot again into recovery and install the zip for rooting , reboot , open SU and update as it asks you , you're done
See Vincom's thread about all that....It's sticky in SR forums development ..
Hit Thanks if I helped you , an idiot was bragging on me on how many thanks he has compaired to his posts count forgetting that , unfortunately ,too many douches are here on the forums like himself(he has a sig like McDonald's billboard on the interstate saying "Hit thanks button" ...

you just need to downgrade back to the stock GB rom and then load the cwm and it will work perfectly, thats what happen to me this morning.

You haven't even read the odin guide have you? You don't need to add pda, boot etc. Also, search the forums for purumod 2.0 or kisadworx 2.1 and read! You can't just ask a million questions and expect people to help you on every little problem you have in your life. Be independent and read some more threads. Sorry for being slightly harsh but it's the truth.

i have no idea what to do......
is it boot looping or stuck at the samsung screen?
You can not flash directly from GB to JB, you need to flash an ICS ROM after GB.
I suggest looking through the Dev section and finding an odin package with root and CWM and starting from there.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1613523
youre gonna wanna do either option C or D, then, i would flash remics UX, bradman has some solid instructions in his thread, then from there you flash JB. GB to JB will always cause boot loops
You gotta help us help you.....sorry to say but this is a terrible thread at thread/op at the moment....sorry if that is harsh or offensive....but if you want help we need to know
-what is the current problem...not turning on, boot looping, stuck on Samsung logo...etc
-what you've done so far...anything you've flashed, modded etc
-as much info as possible!
I try to go from GB to jb, I have no idea what to do is a TERRIBLE way to ask for help...
Not to mention a simple search will find you the answer...we have a very nice guide by Andros on how to properly get to jb...I suggest using the search feature to find it...that is part of the forum rules after all...to search before asking

what do you mean by "phone reboot within awhile"? Is it that the phone keep rebooting itself?
well.. I am a newbie too but I have flashed my phone more than 100 times I guess, keep trying on XDA developers' custom ROM (because they are way better than SAMSUNG stock rom)
I think there is no such ROM as most stable or appropriate here, every ROM has its own feature(some might be laggy or buggy though) so the best way to find out which 1 most suit your needs is to test them out. You can read through the threads in Development forum, there are many ROMs there from XDA developers. See some review and comments to find the ROM best suits your needs, and follow exactly the installation guide then you should be able to flash your phone without worry
Im currently using [4.1.2] JellyBam ☄ v3.1.0 [AOKP.CM10.PARANOID] by Lolation, very smooth and kinda good battery life too

Where can i get detailed instructions on how to install CM10. I know nothing about rooting & flashing. Currently on xxkpq.
Sent from my GT-I9003 using xda app-developers app
Hello guys, it has been several times that I had problems with my device.
Some forced closing advices often appeared on the screen and I was not able to use most of the apps of my phone. Turned off the device and then turned on, lots of apps disapeared and the external memory was completely deleted (apps, photos, mp3s and so on).
Recently, some google error advices appeared on my phone and later all gapps (Play included) disapeared.
I always tried to restore the device flashing stock ROM.
This situation is exasperating me and I would like to know the reasons of it and how to solve it. Can anybody help me? Thank you!
My device is a Galaxy Fit with stock flashed ROM, rooted (Superuser). External memory (16GB MicroSD card) was partitioned using CWM (flashed) in two portions: ext2 (2048M) and fat32. Partition was made to use Link2SD app and save most of internal memory. I also installed AdAway (non Play app) to hide banners.
Thanks again and see you soon!
Did u use cwm 5.0.2.7 (by tjstyles)? If yes, then for ur info. it creates ext4 partition, not ext2. Also, pls. mention baseband version of ur stock rom & ur country/region.

Thank you for answering me.
No, I did not. I downloaded CWM from the web and I do not remember where. Actually, I do not think that my CWM could have the same particularity (unknown till now) that tjstyles one has, because Link2SD never accepted ext4 partition (it automatically used ext2).

Its extremely dangerous if u flashed wrong stuff that's not made for our phone. Here's the right recovery which u need to start with : Clockworkmod recovery for Galaxy Fit GT-S5670.:sly:
Note: Flash this recovery after flashing stock 2.3.6 firmware & follow the procedure properly

My phone seems to work pretty well. Are those links (and contained stuff) appropiate for my device? Otherwise, have I to follow guide and download and use stuff from links you gave me?:

When you told me that DDKT3 rom (for India only) could be dangerous for my phone, I immediately flashed the rom suitable for my country that you suggested to me (S5670XWKTO).

Ok, thank you!
Surfing on internet I found rooting and CWM files more appropriate for my rom. At the moment, my device seems to work pretty well and very stable.
I think that my problem was solved and I learned new things about my device thanks to this forum and its users!

No dude!! Not in that sense. I meant about those stuff which are not made at all for our device(Galaxy Fit) &/or if u r not sure whether the files u r using are suitable for our FIT.
Since DDKT3, XWKTO..etc. are Galaxy Fit firmwares(with different country/region), so ur phone will work fine with any of these firmwares. But ensure that they are made for this phone(Galaxy Fit) only.
& its even better to have a firmware that suits ur country/region. So u made the correct choice bro!!

Absolutely right. And the only difference between the firmwares of two different countries is, I suppose, the language support..
